29/08/2025: When you're craving something good, something made properly, here in Massetana you're in luck. The stuffed schiacciata, the pizzas, the desserts... wow! You just have to take your hat off to them. At the bakery counter, they're almost always quick and friendly, serving you with a smile and you can tell they care about the substance. The problem, to be honest, comes later. You get to the café or the cash register and it feels like you're in a different place. As soon as there's a bit of a commotion at lunchtime, they go haywire. Sometimes you get that lazy guy who seems to be doing you a favor, and you have to wade through the line to pay. It's a shame, because the place is beautiful and the food is truly worth it. A little more attention and less confusion would be enough to be top-notch without any arguments.

29/09/2025: For those who always have complaints... this is certainly not the place to argue about quality/price. And above all... a kind, friendly welcome, despite our repeated, personal experience: a gaggle of children who are truly impatient. Not for everyone, I'd say. Generous portions, fast service with a full restaurant, top-notch pizza and modest prices in a pleasant setting, both inside and, especially, outside when the weather permits, making it even more valuable. Unquestionable management, and for what it's worth... well done, and thank you!!!

26/08/2025: Recommended by our host, we tried it and were not disappointed. Good quality appetizers, excellent wild boar pici, as were the truffle gnocchi. Rustic location with a spectacular pergola garden. Dessert needs updating, but overall excellent.

26/10/2025: Large Italian restaurant for pizza and pasta. Fast service, the pizzas are okay for a place like this, but it's not an authentic small restaurant. A tasty appetizer is included, and a free limoncello is included with the bill. Nothing wrong with that.

20/10/2025: A truly lovely place with unique decor. The food was top-notch, truly well-cooked and well-served. The young, well-trained staff couldn't give it more than five stars, otherwise I would. Thank you so much for your hospitality; we'll definitely be back.

06/11/2025: Really good food and excellent service, plus the place is very beautiful and welcoming. Reservations were made through Google without any problems. The experience was very pleasant and the food was delicious (ravioli with out-of-this-world guinea fowl and very tender cheek in teriyaki sauce), but the price, in our opinion, was unjustified, even though Siena is now becoming a city with Northern European prices. €100 for two for two appetizers (NB: one of which was ribollita, which is traditionally a "poor man's" dish), two first courses, and two glasses of wine (both Chianti). We were disappointed because with more reasonable prices, I would have had no hesitation in calling it one of the best restaurants in the city, but as it is, I would recommend it only with the disclaimer that it's a bit overpriced.

25/10/2025: Upon entering, we were greeted by a rude and arrogant guy! When we asked him for three glasses of wine, he looked at us with disgust! This wine shop could be better if these elements were eliminated at the entrance, or rather, from the premises itself! I do not recommend this place at all!

05/11/2025: We'd been to this restaurant before and had fond memories of it. We returned specifically for this, but we didn't find the same quality of food. The ribollita with black cabbage was good, but it was really too flavorful, or rather salty. The pici with Chianina beef and red wine were decent, but nothing special, even though the portions were decidedly generous. Considering we came here specifically for this place, we wouldn't return.

03/11/2025: It's confirmed as a potentially great place. The food is good. The prices are fair. But the service is terrible!!! The blonde woman exudes dislike and a hunger for money. She stuffs the place with more than her maximum serving size. She squeezes people into the dining room like sardines, then forces everyone to order the same or nearly the same items, then brings them to you on shared trays that are difficult to verify. The bill arrives without any details, just the number of starters or main courses (everything has its price), which is indecipherable. And if you pay in cash, round up, otherwise she says they have a lot of commissions and nothing... but who asked for anything? In our case, it would have been better not to say anything about the bill, since no discount was requested, and above all, fewer people in the crowded dining room would have made a better impression. Terrible experience.

03/11/2025: Compared to the room I rented last year, which was simply perfect, the mini-apartment needs some work. Overall, it feels a bit old: WiFi doesn't work, TV doesn't have a shelf, some windows don't open, and the mattress is a bit firm, but a topper would be perfect. One last note: the bathroom, given the steps and location, could use a night light. Otherwise, the location is stunning with a wonderful view, the staff is courteous and attentive, and the restaurant is truly top-notch. I hope this review is helpful to those deciding on their stay and to the property, as it helps ensure a perfect experience.

20/10/2025: We received a cold welcome. We weren't given the remote control for the air conditioning, even after asking again. The rooms were cold and the heating was off.

14/10/2025: I'm editing my review from a couple of years ago to say that I've been recently and everything has changed for the worse. A side dish of simple, tasteless boiled carrots, priced at €4, is a prime example, as if it were a real side dish! Avoid.

29/09/2025: On our way to Tuscany, we were waiting to pick up our car at Chiusi, while the rental company took their mandatory two hour afternoon siesta. We chanced upon Trattoria Porsenna when looking for a lunch place and to also spend the two hours. This is by far the best meal we have had so far in our two weeks Italy trip. Thank you for a lovely meal, superb service and your kind hospitality while we waited. Great food and super value for money….Just fab!

28/09/2025: Everything would be 5 stars but having 6 wasps wandering around the leavened products counter is no big deal... unfortunately those who work there should retire!

05/07/2025: Anno dopo anno sempre una conferma a Bagno Vignoni. Prodotti eccellenti, sapori tradizionali di grandissimo livello e tutto condito da semplicità e un bel giardino. Insomma rapporto qualità prezzo davvero eccezionale. Purtroppo quest'anno non avevano la panzanella, ma non mancherà occasione in futuro per rimangiarla.

07/10/2025: A surprising discovery during our visit to the Abbazia San Galgano: a cute little bar with a lovely, spacious outdoor area in the middle of the forest. The concise menu with uncomplicated yet delicious dishes and the friendly service are only topped by the wonderful natural scenery. Dogs are welcome and readily provided with fresh water. We felt very comfortable there and set off on our next travels feeling refreshed. Be sure to try the Galgano red wine!

25/09/2025: The place is ideal for a break after visiting the abbey, then the church... so going downstairs you'll find this bar, ideally located. We ate various bruschetta (I recommend the chicken liver one, absolutely delicious!!), the excellent ribollita, and other first courses. There's a bit of a wait, but you can't always rush. The quality of the food is worth the wait. It's a shame I didn't take photos... take my word for it!

27/10/2025: We had a great meal, original dishes, very generous portions, and reasonable prices. The service was excellent; a young man served us quickly and pleasantly. The pici with cinghiale were delicious. A highly recommended restaurant!

11/08/2025: A beautiful location with a breathtaking view that offers incredible colors at sunset! Excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable staff. What can I say, we're in Tuscany! The wine is obviously excellent! Recommended!!
