16/01/2025: A few steps from Piazza del Campo is a pastry shop that we discovered many years ago, recommended by locals. And never has advice been more well placed... ricciarelli are simply unattainable! Obviously the other typical Sienese desserts are also very good. Every time we pass through Siena we don't leave without first stocking up on some delicacies.
08/01/2025: Ii ricciarelli sono eccezionali, ma quel che è veramente fuoriclasse è il pampepato, o panforte nero.
Talmente speziato che il dolce quasi non si sente, e infatti va accompagnato con un rosso robusto, un Chianti, non con il vino dolce. Un sapore che arriva direttamente dal medioevo.
(Da chiedersi come facciano a venderlo in questa epoca di sapori tenui e boccucce delicate).
Bravissimi, continuate così, e soprattutto NON INGENTILITELO.

08/01/2025: The pizza dough is excellent, unfortunately the seasoning is not as good. I had a pizza with provola, Tuscan sausage and black cabbage pesto: all the ingredients, scarce to be honest, were drowned in the tomato sauce which covered all the tastes.
Slow and disorganized service.
12/12/2024: A small welcoming environment hides a fabulous pizza. The "Borgaccio" is highly recommended: the sweetness of the onion accompanies the bacon with a nice boost of spiciness given by the nduja.
Highly recommended!

03/04/2025: A good place if you have children and pushchairs as lots of space and some fun car based seating.
The pastry is quite average. We had the Cornetto con Pistachio Crema. Felt like it had been there a while and not as good as those in Castiglione.
Coffee also wasn't the best we have had, but fine for an early morning rush.
Full of locals and some tourists which makes for a nice mix.

05/01/2025: Lots of choice of pizzas, those taken very good and digestible, excellent red beer, good desserts, fair price. The only problem: the room is small and when it is full the noise is really a lot, perhaps installing some sound-absorbing panels would be worth considering.

sweetness and courtesy of the daughter at the reception, excellent food, heartfelt compliments to the chef and also the smiling and friendly waiters.
