A local told us about this place, which could easily be missed in this little alley. And yet, we had a wonderful meal; the waitress was very attentive and the food was delicious. Well done, and this place is definitely worth a visit!

A somewhat hidden, historic trattoria under new management, but still maintaining the same chef. The restaurant is small but very welcoming, with an open kitchen. The mixed Tuscan antipasto and the pork loin were excellent. The pici cacio e pepe, while delicious, were very dry and lacking in seasoning; I had to use a lot of grated cheese to give them flavor. The coffee was very good. Despite my experience with pici, I recommend it because I know from my own experience that the pici with ragù are very good and well-seasoned.

I had the Pici al Ragu (pici noodles with meat sauce). I enjoyed it. A server said they make the pasta in-house. Pici are thick noodles made w/o eggs, again as told by the server. I understand that these noodles are a specialty of Sienna. The meat looked and tasted like ground beef in a red sauce. It was a good-sized serving, I left satisfied. I had a tasty glass of some chianti. I ordered from a menu. The staff were all professional and nice; service was attentive but not intrusive, like most good restaurants in Italy. My Airbnb hostess recommended the restaurant, describing it as a place that serves typical local food. I would definitely eat here again.

The new management, taken over by two young people, deserves to become the go-to place in Siena. They cook with respect for both tradition and the ingredients, always incredibly fresh, which they prepare with love.
The dishes are few, but more than enough for a very satisfying selection.
Both the two of them and the girls serving are kind and attentive.
Everything is clean... including the bathrooms.
A little gem: the basement tavern for large groups.

A beautiful experience. We enjoyed the cosy atmosphere and delicious dishes. I highly recommend Faraona and ossobuco. Everything was fine and I absolutely recommend it.
