We had lunch there in May 2026. The food was excellent, the house wine was superb, and the view from the terrace was breathtaking.

A restaurant in the heart of Chianti, located near the site of a former monastery, with breathtaking views of the Chianti and Valdarno valleys. The restaurant is simple, clean, and well-maintained. The menu is consistent with Chianti restaurants, although there are regionally inspired dishes that aren't typically Tuscan (e.g., beetroot risotto). The first courses and the estate's selection of wines were excellent, as was the friendliness of the wait staff, although we did wait—perhaps a bit too long—for the first courses. Excellent value.

It was our second visit to this restaurant, with several years of interval. Whilst service was excellent, this time the food fell short. The bistecca was somewhat hard, with more fat than usual and was brought cold to the table. The veggie tart was bearily eadible. The semifreddo was also disappointing. A noisy table with children screaming all along did not help either. Overall, a negative experience, given the expectation.
