This restaurant feels welcoming and warm, I felt like I was entering someone’s home when we walked in. The food was good, my family ordered steak and pizza. Despite ordering medium rare for two of the steaks, they were served very rare, and were quite chewy. All of the pizzas were amazing, and I think that’s where this restaurant excels. The service was a bit slow despite not being busy.

Great quality, great service, great value. That summarizes our excellent experience at Carpe Diem. Their freshly baked bread and pizza are to die for and their meat plates are delectable. Highly recommend!

As a huge pizza lover, I absolutely have to recommend this place. The pizza, and especially the masterful dough, will not disappoint! The atmosphere is casual yet warm and welcoming, and the service and hospitality are top-notch. Thank you, keep it up! I'll be back to try other flavors. :) Gaia

12/05/2026: A pleasant surprise in the back streets of San Gimignano. It offers traditional dishes, very well prepared. The place is small, so it's best to book in advance, but it's definitely worth a try. The owner is very kind, and the service is attentive and prompt. The ingredients used are excellent, and the value is excellent. If you stop here for a snack, I recommend trying the lampredotto sandwich; it's truly delicious. Highly recommended.

27/04/2026: An intimate, family-run restaurant where you immediately feel at home. The staff are very friendly and the food is excellent, especially the seasonal appetizer with poached eggs, asparagus, and pecorino cheese. We also found all the other dishes excellent. When we return to the area, we'll definitely be back.
