Very nice and welcoming place in the center of Siena!! The joke and the fried food are the dishes I recommend trying! The quality of the meat is truly excellent, with the mayonnaise they make themselves and the caramelised onions. Perfect fried!! The portion is very generous, definitely worth sharing! The owner is kind and approachable!! I obviously recommend! ☺️

Sardinian away, the place was recommended to me by the hotel receptionist; I wanted to taste some local dishes, so I was recommended the peci all'aglione (which I fell in love with), the mixed fried fish (also very good and rich) and the homemade tiramisu (which, given the way they make it, is the perfect end-of-meal, try it to believe it). In addition to the dishes, I also recommend the place for the environment; the owner is a real force of nature and the waiters are also very kind and professional.
In conclusion, I was very satisfied and I recommend it especially to anyone who is passing through and wants to taste some typical Sienese cuisine.

Only flaw? little choice.
The menu suggests that there is a wide choice of steaks but once we asked the waiter what type of steaks he had, he offered us only one steak (1kg or more). So I had to "throw" myself on the Sienese stracotto... which for goodness sake, it was very good!
Then I noticed that at the next table they had dishes that were not on the menu and which were not mentioned to us by the waiter.
Nothing to complain about either the side dish or the dessert, even the good ones.

Typical Tuscan restaurant famous for its fried food which must be booked at the table. I didn't know this so I ate pici cacio e pepe with black cabbage (well done) and pulled pork which was a little dry but overall tasty. The positive note is that they change the menu often according to seasonality. The negative note is the prices, in particular the first €14-15, which are high for the type of restaurant (place and service not up to the prices in my opinion).

Posto tradizionale ma ben curato. Pranzo di buon livello. Ottimi i pici all'aglione e la tagliata di cinta senese. Sufficiente la tagliata di manzo. All'altezza il fritto.

Classica trattoria con ambiente rustico e semplice, i piatti che propone sono tipici della cucina Toscana ( ribollita, pici all'aglione, ecc), personale veloce e disponibile.
