15/04/2026: I went to eat at this restaurant on the recommendation of local friends and based on the positive reviews (4.4 stars), but honestly, I can't understand how anyone could like such a place. I'm from Naples, so I'm used to a whole different level of cuisine, but here it's not just about taste: the quality of the products and the condition of the place were truly disappointing. The restaurant was packed despite it being a Tuesday night, but I had a terrible impression from the moment I entered: the place was tiny, tables were packed tightly together, and the smell of food lingered (I left with smelly clothes). There was also a cat at the entrance, which immediately made me consider leaving, but unfortunately it was already 10:00 PM. The place overall seemed unclean and neglected: old and dirty doors, and a single bathroom for men, women, and disabled people, with a decent but barely functioning sink. As for the food, it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The appetizer of cured meats, which were supposed to be Tuscan, was absolutely subpar, the portions very small, and above all, unpleasant. The sliced ​​beef, which should be a highlight in Tuscany, was completely tasteless and served very raw, even though I'd asked for it to be medium rare: it wasn't even rare, but practically raw. The side dish (caponata) was also truly awful; I left it all on my plate and even mentioned it. I also left the meat and didn't even ask for it to be cooked more; I just wanted to leave as quickly as possible. The wine (a €22 Chianti) only made the experience worse. I didn't order dessert, coffee, or liqueur. In conclusion, the place is small, not very clean, and the food is very low quality. I don't understand how it gets all these positive reviews: if it were possible, I'd give it zero stars instead of one.

14/04/2026: Antica Osteria di Bazzino is a true gem located at Via Giovanni Montorsoli, 63, in Poggibonsi. This quaint restaurant manages to convey the authentic atmosphere of Tuscan tradition, with its walls adorned with old photographs that tell the story of the city. As soon as you enter, you sense a warm welcome and attention to detail that make the dining experience special. Service was surprisingly quick, allowing us to enjoy our dishes without long waits, which is always a plus. As for the food, the fillets with porcini mushrooms and vinegar were a true masterpiece. They were cooked perfectly: tender and flavorful, each bite melted in your mouth, enhanced by a wonderful combination of flavors. We paired our meal with a glass of house wine, which proved to be an excellent pairing, further enriching the dining experience. In short, Antica Osteria di Bazzino is a place where Tuscan culinary tradition blends with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area who wants to enjoy a good meal in a charming setting.

11/12/2025: A pleasant place, the owner is friendly and helpful, the wine is good, and the prices are fair. It has very convenient private parking and is easy to get to. The only flaw: my Chianti stew wasn't good. The cut of meat was probably not exceptional, which is a shame, because the sauce was excellent. The first courses and appetizers are good. The local pecorino croquettes are worth trying. Prices are fair and the portions are generous. The wines are mostly their own, good, and competitively priced. Definitely worth trying again.

08/06/2026: Had dinner here with my mother and teenage children. Food was absolutely phenomenal. Pleasant, family run restaurant, reasonably priced, with a great view. This is the traditional family restaurant you are looking for. 10/10 would come again!

05/06/2026: This started restaurant offers authentic, traditional tuscan cuisine, with good wine and a stunning location in the middle of a cute tuscan town on the top of a hill, in the middle of nowhere. If you’re looking classy, but authentic Tuscany, you can’t find anything more of this. The terrace doesn’t have many tables but the background of the tuscan hills and the gentle, warm wind are truly a bliss. I would have easily rated five stars for the food, the location and the atmosphere, but the service hasn’t been at its best: one of the waiters clearly would have rather been somewhere else that day.

A special location, a village on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and Lazio, and the chef was on top of his game like never before in showcasing the local ingredients. The tasting was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish had something unique to offer, even the smallest bite. I would have said it was impossible to rank in order of goodness, because the extremely high quality of the suckling pig, the sea bass, and the scampi were all on par. But alas, all the courses had to capitulate in the face of the foie gras, an absolute masterpiece, an explosion of flavors, textures, and even temperatures, sublime, enhanced by the stellar pairing of the white wine we were offered... When you leave, the only thought is what the autumn menu will be like. Many thanks to the chef, the sommelier, and the entire team, young but truly knowledgeable, unobtrusive yet always present...

17/04/2026: What an amazing experience. Welcoming owners in a cozy ambiance and the food was delicious. I suggest you share the charcuterie for one as it was enough for 4 people to enjoy with a lovely selection of pecorino cheeses and meats. I enjoyed my vegetable and bread soup and spinach.

17/05/2026: We ended out 8 day trek in BUONCONVENTO and couldn’t not have found a better place to have a celebratory meal, it was clearly one of the best meals we had during our two weeks in Italy. The chicken liver app was out of this world as were the shrimp tempura. For our main, their pasta special was extraordinary. They paid special attention to our gluten and diary allergies. A really special evening.

I had a reservation for a certain number of people, but more came, and the staff managed the situation very well and set up more tables without any comment, which I really liked. 24/04/2026: The restaurant isn't very large, but it's well-decorated and tastefully decorated. The atmosphere is very welcoming, quiet, peaceful, and inviting. It also has a private dining room. The menu is prepared to order, with daily specials that the staff carefully recommend to guests. The traditional Tuscan dishes are excellent, including "I'm Covo - Tuscan poor food," revisited and beautifully presented in the menu. Prices are standard, but the ingredients are of good quality.

29/05/2026: We stopped at this pleasant osteria during a bike ride with my friends along the Eroica route. The osteria is located in a small wood and is very intimate, ideal for those of us who cycle through these magnificent areas of Tuscany. Excellent food, excellent service, and moderate prices. Recommended.
