22/07/2026: Looking for a quick dinner before returning to Genoa in the evening, a colleague and I stumbled upon this place, which turned out to be a pleasant surprise. They were very kind and served us faster than usual, knowing we were in a hurry. The quality of the food is good, and the atmosphere is lovely, especially when Max starts playing piano.

25/06/2026: Excellent pizza, thin and well-seasoned. Great atmosphere with the owner playing live music, so anyone can sing along and enjoy a different kind of evening. Near the road that connects Sinalunga to Torrita di Siena.

25/08/2026: Those who try it once may do so by chance... those who return are those who have had a certainty. And we returned. All the food was excellent. The staff was courteous and helpful with our needs, given that we had lunch with an 11-month-old baby. If you're in the area, don't hesitate.

28/06/2026: The food at this little restaurant is out of this world. We booked dinner there on a Sat evening, while staying a five minute drive away at Hotel Villa l'Avvenire (highly recommended). The engaging and passionate owner and chef gave us his recommendations, for the non tartare menu. We had the meal of a lifetime. To start, we shared a refreshing tomato mousse and a creamy courgette mousse, which complemented one another, on a very hot evening. Taste and presentation were superb. We then shared a Black Angus Carpaccio and a potted pork dish laid on a bed of cannelli beans, both flavoured delicately and thoroughly delicious. The chef recommended an accompanying red wine of the region, which was perfect. He then suggested a local cheese plate with two types of hard cheeses served with his red pepper marmelade - a match made in heaven. We then shared his panacotta with berries, which was incredible and finished off with an espresso. This meal really was worthy of a Michelin Star. You must go there, when in Siena.

12/07/2026: Beautiful outdoor location, tasty food, but very mediocre service. On several occasions, we felt ignored. When a gust of wind knocked over our wine glass and everything clattered across the table, no one came to help, even though the large wine stain all over the table was noticeable. Later, with a thunderstorm approaching, we wanted to pay quickly to go home. While all the other guests rightly got a spot inside first, we stood waiting a very long time to pay, despite asking multiple times. It was a pity, because we ended up getting wet anyway.

06/07/2026: This restaurant is popular with tourists and locals alike. I had lunch and dinner here during a business trip, and the experience was truly excellent: they have an excellent selection of both first and second courses, featuring traditional local recipes and products. The location is beautiful, with a splendid view of the Sienese hills, making the atmosphere even more pleasant. Special thanks go to Kristina, who, in addition to providing impeccable service, kept me pleasantly company during dinner. A sincere welcome made the evening even more special. If you're in the area and looking for a good Tuscan restaurant, this is definitely a place to try, alone or with friends.

22/07/2026: We stayed at Sfizio di San Rocco and had a truly wonderful time. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by an extremely helpful, welcoming, friendly, pleasant, and attentive gentleman, who made us feel instantly at ease with great ease. The waiter who served us during dinner was also impeccable: prompt, professional, polite, and attentive to every detail—a true man from another era, qualities that are increasingly rare today. The food was excellent: delicious, carefully prepared, and prepared with evident passion. Everything arrived very quickly, without compromising the quality of the dishes. Finally, a special mention goes to the bill: it was truly very fair, especially considering the excellent quality of the food and service. A place where you can sense their love for their work, and we will definitely return. Congratulations to all the staff!

20/07/2026: The beef is tender and pizza is crispy and thin. The staff is friendly and attentive. I just feel the food could be little bit more salty. Price is very reasonable. I recommend it.

10/07/2026: We rented a 3 bedroom apartment. It needed upgrades, including bathrooms. They provide no paper towels or coffee unlike the other places we stayed at. Ran out of toilet paper and trash bags which we resupplied. You get up charged for pool towels, breakfast is not included for apts, use of laundry (which is in a dark barn shared with staff). Positives are staff (restaurant, reception) are friendly and helpful. Location is good for day trips to explore Tuscany. There is a pool which closes at 7pm (hours should be extended for summer) and views are beautiful. Farm stay has potential but they run more like business (up charge for everything, but amenities are limited unlike rentals through Airbnb, VRBO or hotels). Recommend comparing options w/ farm stays in the region.

28/05/2026: My family of 5 stayed in one of the apartments on the property for 3 nights. The staff was extremely friendly from the moment we arrived at this beautiful property. Great location for exploring tuscany and also spent a day relaxing on the property where we were able to sit by the gorgeous pool overlooking the tuscan countryside, had a winery tour with oil and balsamic tasting, and booked a cooking class on site which was a family favorite and highlight of our trip! The rooms are rustic and nothing fancy, but were very clean and had everything we needed except for no provided toiletries in the bathrooms. We had a truly magical time here and would absolutely come back! Would recommend for anyone wanting to fully experience the beauty of Tuscany.

12/06/2026: We were truly captivated by Borgo Vescine. It's a wonderful place, immersed in the beauty of Tuscany, where we felt welcomed and pampered from the very first moment. Everything was simply perfect: the property, the staff, the service, the food, the atmosphere, and the attention to detail. Every experience we had here exceeded our expectations and made our stay truly special. If we had to make one wish, we would have loved to hear a little more Italian spoken around us, because we deeply love this language and the authentic Italian spirit. But this in no way diminished the magic of our stay. We recommend Borgo Vescine wholeheartedly and are certain we will return again. 16/08/2026: This was one of my top three restaurants we visited during our 10 day adventure around Tuscany. Very unassuming but amazing. We were staying in the hotel so decided to eat there as we arrived late and ended up eating there all of the nights. Romantic, reasonably priced, stunning views and even better food and wine. This is an absolute must. If you book for sunset too the sky is just fantastic while you’re eating. We had beautiful purple ad orange skies. The staff were lovely and happy to talk us through the menu and is also dog friendly - although we didn’t have a dog it was lovely to see our furry friends in there too. Please give this place a go if you’re staying there or passing! The view of the stars is also amazing from this place.

13/08/2026: The food was all good: I recommend the wild boar dish, which includes pappardelle with ragù and stewed meat. The tiramisu was also delicious. The location is beautiful, overlooking the hills from the hotel. The only downside was that, since there were six of us, they didn't split the bill and made one person (i.e., me) pay for everything. All this was accompanied by some rather unbelievable excuses. Details that make all the difference.

14/05/2026: I had a great time: clean rooms, a varied and plentiful breakfast, ample parking, and a quiet, convenient location.

01/08/2026: A charming location in the heart of Siena. Friendly and helpful staff. Good quality food. Excellent local cured meats, tasty pasta, and a delicate blend of ingredients. The only flaw: the balsamic vinegar and condiments on the beef carpaccio. It might be nice to have a little more seasoning, depending on your taste, but all the ingredients on the carpaccio will overpower its flavor. It should be served as simply as possible to fully enjoy it.

08/12/2025: Fantastic! We stayed at the property for two nights. The room was wonderful, with a very comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The food was superb, from the breakfast buffet to dinner. The staff were extremely friendly and knowledgeable, and were more than happy to answer all our questions about the food and wines. From the property, you can also admire a breathtaking view of the valleys. There's a large parking lot just past the pool, which is safe and very convenient if you're traveling by car.
