Wonderful view! Very nice atmosphere and very friendly service. The food was really good too. One point deducted when eating: please describe (or simply say) what is included in the dishes. This is difficult for foreigners to recognize if only the meat is described and the side dishes are listed separately. We ordered extra side dishes and that meant way too much. It's such a shame about the good food...

This was such a nice experience! The staff were friendly and attentive , the view was spectacular and the food was delicious. We shared an eggplant flan for antipasto, then we had the gnocchi with pumpkin and bacon and the pork with roasted potatoes. We finished with a tiramisu and a pine nut tart. We had a bottle of a local Chianti Classico from Fattoria Aiola. Everything was superb.

Fantastic and authentic Tuscan food, very attentive service and a very cozy atmosphere. We can highly recommend a visit. To classify different references: Anyone who talks about the parking situation or other trivialities here embarrassingly comes out as bourgeois German.

Nice place, we dined outside but the interiors are beautiful. Excellent and well-presented local food, well-stocked wine list, both local and national, attentive but informal service, pet friendly and parking in the internal courtyard

Ci siamo fermati per pranzare velocemente, abbiamo trovato questo ristorante nella zona del Chianti e ci siamo fermati. Abbiamo mangiato due tagliate con verdure e patate al forno, ottime. Pranzato in un giardinetto, direi molto semplice, ma tranquillo ed accogliente. Servizio molto buono. Consigliato.

Castello Banfi La Taverna

26/11/2023: We had two dinners at La Taverna while staying at Il Borgo at Castello Banfi. First was a four-course tasting menu (plus amuse-bouche to start and cookies after dessert) matched with four wines (plus sparking wine to start). The second night, we ordered from the al la carte menu and had two classic Tuscan dishes: Pici al Ragu Di Cinghiale and Bistecca alla Fiorentina with a bottle of Banfi Brunello di Montalcino Poggio alle Mura. The service is very friendly and attentive and the setting casual and comfortable. A great place to eat!
11/11/2023: I enjoyed a multi-course lunch as part of the Banfi Excellence Tour. It was a great way to cap off a stay at Banfi with both equal parts tasty Tuscan food and exceptional wines. All around good service in a setting at the Banfi estate that evokes visions of a good Tuscan life. A definite must if touring the wine region but its popularity means planning ahead with a reservation.
