Ristorante Da Nisio In San gimignano

Our first evening was wonderful. The food was delicious, the service was excellent, and the atmosphere was lovely. We were very satisfied.

Since we were staying at the hotel next door for two nights, we booked a table for the first evening. We enjoyed it so much that we went back the next day. The food is excellent, the wine too, the view is lovely, the prices are reasonable, and the waitress Amalia is delightful. Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

Da Nisio has really good food, antipasti, pasta, and desserts were genuinely excellent, and the spritz was a proper spritz, the kind you actually want in Italy. We tried a secondo with wild boar, and while the flavor was great, the meat was a bit chewy for our taste. Service is the biggest improvement point here, it was not the warmest, and the pacing was all over the place, our main came basically right after the antipasti, and before we had even had the chance to order wine (which we had to chase for). Then later, once they got busy, everything slowed down a lot, especially ordering dessert and getting the bill. When the place is full it gets noisy, but it is well decorated, prices are ok, and honestly we would still recommend it for the food.

Charming spot with excellent service. The local Chianina beef was delicious, and I loved having an option that let me taste it without committing to the full ribeye. The setup created a warm, welcoming feel with wonderful views, and the local Tuscan dishes were delicious and rounded out the experience beautifully.
