We were drawn to the restaurant's name, "La Mandragola," which, for Harry Potter fans like us, was a must-try. The restaurant's entrance is on a very quaint alley. We ate outside with a truly remarkable view and fabulous food. The staff was always attentive and friendly—kudos!

Personally, I've only eaten at the restaurant. The service was EXCELLENT; the waiters were professional, friendly, and polite. The food was good, but I gave it 4 stars because I wasn't thrilled with it. Perhaps I also chose the dishes poorly (just based on personal taste), so I'm holding back. In any case, I highly recommend it.

We went to eat at this restaurant, which wasn't initially our first choice in the city, and I must say we were lucky not to find a table anywhere else. The location is wonderful, on a lovely raised outdoor terrace, which also takes advantage of the wind in the warm season. The menu was truly interesting, and the waiter's helpfulness in explaining some of the specialties allowed us to try dishes that were a little different from the usual, more traditional and unique. A highly recommended experience.

Excellent food. I've never had such good octopus. The atmosphere is really nice. Typical Italian portion sizes. If you go hungry, you'll need at least an appetizer before your main course. Highly recommended...

We dined at La Mandragola restaurant during our visit to San Gimignano, and the experience was truly delightful. Despite not having booked, we were greeted with great courtesy and, after a few minutes of waiting, were assigned a very nice table. This thoughtfulness was truly appreciated. Furthermore, the restaurant's location offers a truly evocative view of the towers of San Gimignano and the Duomo bell tower, making the atmosphere even more special. The dinner was excellent: a veal cheek braised in Chianti, tender and rich in flavor, a delicious guinea fowl breast stuffed with Tuscan finocchiona (a type of fennel) with a salad and warm pecorino crostini, all accompanied by organic spinach and an excellent bottle of Colombaio di Santa Chiara. To conclude, a delicious tartlet with lemon cream, small meringues, and red fruits: a fresh and perfectly balanced finale. The service was attentive, and the atmosphere made the evening even more enjoyable. The only detail that piqued our curiosity was that we noticed a welcome aperitif being offered to some tables, while we weren't. We don't know if this was reserved for regulars or if it was due to other circumstances, so we're only mentioning it as a curiosity; it didn't detract from our experience. Overall, a truly excellent dinner, which we recommend to anyone who wants to enjoy carefully prepared traditional Tuscan dishes, accompanied by excellent wines, in an elegant setting with a truly enchanting view.
