09/05/2025: Wir waren zu Gast wegen der sehr guten Bewertungen der Küche. Der Gastraum ist sehr unterkühlt und entspricht nicht dem Ambiente eines gehobenen Restaurants. Die Terrasse hat allerdings einen ausgezeichneten Blick. Die Tische waren mit Gästen des Hotels besetzt, darunter eine große Reisegruppe. Service seitens der Sommelier sehr gut, die andere Dame mangelhaft. Wir wählten des Degustationsmenu mit Weinbegleitung. Nettes Amuse Buche, wenig Brot und das recht spät. Das pochierte Ei mit Trüffel als erster Gang ausgezeichnet, die beiden nachfolgenden Pastagerichte über dem Durchschnitt. Die gefüllte Entenkeule konnte nicht überzeugen, vom Anisgewürz durchdrungen, kein Entengeschmack muss man als nicht gelungen bezeichnen, ebenso das Dessert unterdurchschnittlich, ein Apfelküchlein mit viel süßer Haselnuss? creme gefüllt ohne nach Apfel zu schmecken. Die Säure des Apfels wäre nach den ungewöhnlichen 2 nachfolgenden Pastagerichten willkommen gewesen. Die Weinbegleitung war Durchschnitt, der Vermentino der Familie Zingarello keine Empfehlung für ihre sonstigen Weine, dagegen der Gewürztraminer aus dem Trentino Klasse, ebenso der Nebbiolo aus der Langhe. Insgesamt ein sehr durchwachsener Eindruck. Die Küche kann deutlich mehr als das Menu gezeigt hat, die Komposition des Degustationsmenus muss man als unglücklich bezeichnen, ein leichter Zwischengang z.B. Gemüse der Saison anstelle eines 2. Pastagerichtes wäre die bessere Wahl. Für die Hotelgäste ein willkommenes Restaurant, um von außerhalb gepflegt zum Dinner auszugehen passt die Leistung nicht zum Preis.

The environment is well-kept and refined but the dishes are abandoned but should be improved, I expected a higher quality. Fortunately at least the wine is of a superior level. 15/05/2025: Food is delicious. We have been to the restaurant 3 times in 1 week and always had great food and service, except for the last time. Service left a lot to be desired. In particular with the manager / owner. I ordered a plate of pasta and was given a very small portion compared to other tables sitting next to us. When I asked the waitress if they could add a little more pasta to my plate, they told me that I had to wait until the end of the meal and see If I wanted more. When paying the bill I addressed the issue with the manager/owner and she was very rude and disrespectful, raised her voice at me and told me I was the problem. Obviously, I will never go back. This person needs to learn about respect and customer service. Great food, but the worse customer service ever. Great way to ruin our dinner.

13/05/2025: We had a fantastic sausage and cheese platter with wine here. The saleswoman was incredibly friendly, and everything went smoothly, even though we didn't speak Italian and she didn't speak English.

18/05/2025: Osteria on the edge of the famous spots of Siena therefore less chaotic. The menu is "limited" and varies from day to day. Good quality/price ratio. The only flaw is the payment of the cover charge: 10% of the amount of the dishes is applied and, therefore, sometimes it becomes onerous.

02/06/2025: Perfect dinner: pici all'aglione were not very full of garlic, but as pasta with tomato sauce they were perfect! The roast cockerel was exceptional! Tiramisu was more like whipped cream with ladyfingers, still very good Instead, the cantucci with vin santo were more like chocolate biscuits! However, I would return because the food is good and the welcome is spectacular

01/06/2025: Disappointing experience in every aspect Unfortunately I have to leave a negative review. The rudeness and arrogance of the owners completely ruined the experience. From the moment we arrived, the welcome was cold and rude, and every request seemed like a nuisance. In addition, the food was well below expectations: small portions, you would expect at least a minimum of attention and courtesy, but none of this was present. I do not recommend this place and we certainly will not return.

31/05/2025: We love this place. Our second visit in 6 months, and we live on US West Coast. Located at the quieter end of town, the food is delicious, traditional Italian cuisine. The cinghiale is a local wild boar that makes a tasty ragu on pasta.

30/05/2025: Nice location for the terrace, but the food isn't worth the detour. The pasta al ragu gives the impression of eating a commercial sauce. Too bad.

03/05/2025: Einfaches, typisches kleines und sehr leckeres italienisches Restaurant, mit vollkommen ausreichender Speisekarte nur wenige Meter vom Piazza del Campo entfernt. Leckere Pasta und Bruschetta und zum Nachtisch Tiramisu und Espresso. Man fühlt sich als ob man im Esszimmer der Familie sitzt, hat einen Blick in die Küche mit den großen Töpfen auf dem Gasherd, sehr freundlicher und sympathischer Service - sehr familiär. Wer den Schnick-Schnack nicht mag ist hier goldrichtig.

13/05/2025: On the positive side, the food is very good. Pleasantly surprised. It looks like a truck stop, but with the added bonus of quality products. The service is acceptable, even if we might miss a waiter in jogging pants. The rest is ambiguous: no menu, so no prices, and no restaurant bill. And strangely, no dessert!
