Locanda Di Casal Mustia In Trequanda

This very special place hosted our 50th wedding anniversary in May. Our guests stayed in their comfortable authentic rooms and the Locanda provided both wonderful tuscan food and drink multiple times over a 4 day celebratory period. Nothing was too much trouble The Maccari's are a wonderful welcoming family skilled in both culinary and customer service The locanda is spotlessly clean, provides exemplary service and welcomes guests from all over the world alongside locals. Their traditional tuscan fare is cooked to the highest standard. The stand out dishes for us are the burrato with anchovie topping, pici al ragu and the sliced beef with various accompaniments. The wines are wonderful You need not go further than the house red which is an excellent rosso di montalcino. We have just read negative reviews with incredulity. Nothing could be further from the truth as far as our experience from multiple visits to the Locanda in Castelmuzio.

The food is excellent. I highly recommend it! The prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

Family lunch, enchanting location, in the center of a small, quaint Tuscan village, kept to perfection. They pampered us from start to finish, a truly enjoyable lunch. The menu and dishes are typical Tuscan, but truly unpretentious, out of the ordinary. You can sense tradition, attention to detail, and quality as you eat. The house wine is also excellent. Highly recommended, we'll be back!

Review is for breakfast - came here regularly for a month whilst staying in the area. Beautiful and friendly people serving up fresh pastries and caffe. Loved sitting outside, so do that if you have the opportunity.

This is our local coffee shop in the area. We come here everyday and the two people who work here are so charming and lovely. The coffee is always great, the pastries are frankly too good. You will probably get fat here eating all the delicious things. The patio is great to sit and enjoy the coffee in the quiet of the piazza. Would highly recommend this place.

We stayed two nights at this wonderful inn in Castelmuzio and couldn't have asked for more. Impeccably clean, welcoming rooms, and truly five-star cuisine. The strategic location is not to be underestimated: it's just a short distance from major attractions such as Pienza, San Quirico, Montepulciano, and Bagno Vignoni. A special thanks to Mr. Massimo, his son, and the entire family for their extreme kindness and helpfulness; it's clear they put their heart and soul into what they do. We'll definitely be back and wholeheartedly recommend it to everyone!

We ate well, but keep in mind that the prices have all increased by €2 since the photos were posted four months ago. Be careful with the Tuscan-style livers; I don't know if it's a classic recipe, but there were only two, and they were very fatty. I don't recommend them. There's not much choice for desserts.

We had dinner twice during our stay next door in Castelmuzio. The tagliatta, the tagliatelle and the cheese platter are delicious. Service is nice and very friendly. Wine list is short, but about right.
