We arrived in Castiglione d'Orcia almost by chance while wandering through the beautiful Val d'Orcia, and this place immediately struck us from the outside. We passed the tobacconist's bar to enter the dining room, furnished in perfect osteria style. The smiling and friendly waitress welcomed us and recommended the dishes. We chose a Tuscan platter for two and six assorted crostoni (the one with melted Pescia cheese and truffle was my favorite), all washed down with an excellent craft beer. Price: €35 for two. I'd say the price was also very good. If you're passing by...stop by!!!!

Simple and effective. Absolutely incredible prices for simple dishes made with good local produce. And very good wines. The service is lovely. Perfect!

Went there for lunch while strolling around. Everyone was very friendly. Excellent platter. Amazing sandwiches. Prices were excellent, I'd say. Highly recommended. They also do breakfast. You can eat inside or outside.

I stopped here for a light lunch. I was planning on a sandwich, but I couldn't help but choose a platter of cured meats and cheeses, accompanied by a glass of excellent Brunello di Montalcino, beautifully presented in a bottle. The platter was generous and well-prepared. I followed it with a truly delicious salad. I really appreciated the courtesy and friendliness of the service. The quality/price ratio was excellent! If you're in the area and need a bite to eat, don't hesitate. Stop here.

Lo Sdrucciolo

04/07/2026: We ended up visiting Lo Sdrucciolo twice during our stay in Radda, and we'd happily go back again. If you're in town, this is the perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail before dinner. The cocktail menu has plenty of great options, and they also have a full bar if you're looking for something specific. We stopped in around aperitivo time, and the complimentary snacks were a great touch and paired perfectly with our drinks. What really made this place stand out was the atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overbearing. Their English was excellent, which made ordering easy, and it was fun watching locals gather here in the evenings—it felt like a true neighborhood spot. Even if the tables are full, it's worth grabbing a drink and enjoying it on the nearby benches with everyone else. We didn't have a full meal here, so I can't comment on the food, but for cocktails, service, and atmosphere, this place was one of our favorite stops in town. Highly recommended if you're visiting Radda in Chianti.
