Excellent traditional Tuscan cuisine in an intimate and welcoming setting overlooking the hills. The handmade pici and Florentine steak are spectacular, and the service is impeccable. A must-visit if you're in Montalcino.

Excellent dinner featuring pappardelle with duck ragù, rosemary and salt-cured steak, baked potatoes, and grilled vegetables. Excellent quality ingredients, perfectly cooked meat, and very friendly service (the after-dinner drink was the icing on the cake)! Highly recommended. :)

An exceptional experience. My wife and I ate and drank very well, thanks to the owner's genuine hospitality and the chef's undeniable talent. I highly recommend it, especially considering the reasonable price. We returned after six years, and it's still excellent. One of my all-time favorite places.

Booked a last-minute spot on one of the first spring weekends. A wonderful discovery: the best pici I've ever had, divine Brunello, and a cozy, welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit with loved ones ❤️

07/05/2026: Owner & Executive Chef #Raffaele #DeRosa hosts guests high on a hill overlooking #SanGimignano in #Tuscany, #Italy. We arrive as the sun is setting in all its brilliance. #ChefAndrea, #HotelGarden in #Siena is my host. The magic prevails during a continuous presentation of seafoods creatively prepared & presented by Chef Raffaele DeRosa The #waitstaff serve us emoting much pride of everything Chef Raffaele has created. Fresh seafoods are sourced locally. Many house specialties. Chef #Raffaele’s #wife also arrives to greet us with much enthusiasm to delight us with every course. 07/05/2026: Great place and great hosts. We have been there twice (lunch and dinner). The owner is kind and helpful, and patient when we struggled to decide. Excellent and affordable wine by the glass (bottles as well, of course).

Relais Le Macine di Stigliano

03/08/2025: Booked 2 nights at Relais Le Macine di Stigliano with very short notice. It is only 20 minutes drive away from Siena, in a pretty and quiet location. The rooms are nicely renovated, spacious and quiet. The pool area is beautiful and very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good and varied (not always the case with Italian places). Staff was great, was super helpful when asking for tips and recommendations about restaurants and what to see. Very recommended!
