Unfortunately, the chef wasn't there the night of our dinner; we would have happily conveyed our compliments to him verbally. The staff was extremely kind, knowledgeable, and attentive. Recommended!

The atmosphere is welcoming, warm, and calm, the place is beautiful, perfect for enjoying excellent food. I ate a perfect Florentine steak. The best. Thank you so much!!! 13/11/2025: A pleasant discovery! I'd heard about this place and finally decided to try it, piqued by curiosity. Small but very welcoming, where you can relax and read a book! I tried a very good and unique poke. Fast service and affordable prices. It's a shame the bistro is a bit hidden, but I'd definitely go back!

12/11/2025: Special place: a bar and a bookshop, specializing in children's books, with a room for courses and meetings... To visit and return! Now there are access problems due to road reconstruction, but the uniqueness of the place is in the second entrance. Perhaps less comfortable but incredibly fascinating. Visiting the restaurant remains a priority if you pass through these parts. A plus is the service: the friendliness and affability of the owner are a plus that transforms every visit into an enchanting adventure. Update: road and access finally fixed, it is confirmed as a true oasis for a restaurant for the soul and... also the stomach... highly recommended.

07/12/2025: This is where I stopped in Pienza during my Tuscany tour! I was planning to go to the restaurant, but they were selling street food in an alleyway, so I bought some! It had a Christmassy vibe, and I was going to try the Pienza Burger, which they recommended, but they said it didn't have tomatoes, so I switched to the Pienza Burger! But, compared to the reviews, I'm not sure. The bun was thick, and the patty, as you'd expect from Italy, was dry and lacked juice. ㅜㅜㅜ But the buttery flavor was nice! Maybe it was different in the restaurant. 🌟🌟 Anyway, I tried it too~~

30/11/2025: A real gem, the gentleman inside was incredibly kind, not to mention his sandwiches, nothing to complain about, and they were digested in just a few minutes. Highly recommended!

08/12/2025: The restaurant of a lifetime. We've been coming to this wonderful place often with my family for three years now. It's not so much a question of kindness as of hospitality; the staff makes you feel right at home. They're ready to chat and laugh. The service is impeccable, the menu is vast... the chestnut soup is a must-try, whether you've never been before or even if you have. If you happen to be passing by Piancastagnaio, just one rule: stop by and stop by.

05/12/2025: Prosit is a welcoming venue located in the heart of Pienza, known for its rustic and convivial atmosphere. The décor is reminiscent of Tuscan style, with stone walls and exposed beams, creating a warm and authentic atmosphere. It is renowned for its selection of local wines and platters of cured meats and cheeses typical of the Val d'Orcia, allowing you to savor the traditional flavors of the area in a relaxed and informal setting. Perfect for an aperitif or a stop during a visit to the village.

29/11/2025: Wow, what amazing home style Italian food. This was everything we had hoped for in a restaurant here. The pasta was top notch, the tomato sauce was simple but unlike any sauce we’ve tasted before, and the meats were very good. Their wines were also amazing, so definitely do the wine tasting option. We cannot recommend this place enough.

24/11/2025: We celebrated our silver wedding anniversary at San Martino 26. We were absolutely delighted. The food, the wine pairings, the ambiance, and the friendly and competent service were all fantastic. We're already looking forward to celebrating our golden wedding anniversary there in 25 years...

09/11/2025: During our trip, we decided to stop in San Gimignano — one of our favorite Italian towns. We parked in a different area than usual, and during our walk, we discovered San Martino 26, a charming restaurant that proudly holds a Michelin distinction. We decided to give it a try. Our first surprise came when we learned that each guest must order at least two main courses. As vegetarians, this wasn’t the easiest requirement for us, but the waiter was exceptionally helpful and explained all the options with great care. The second pleasant surprise came when the meal began: we were served a selection of five different starters, a bread course, the two mains we had ordered, and even dessert — all beautifully presented. Everything was delicious, and the service was impeccable. The chef personally came to our table to make sure we were happy with our meal, which was a lovely touch. I also ordered a glass of white wine, which paired perfectly with the dishes. The place, the food, and the service are all an easy 10 out of 10. San Martino 26 is highly recommended for anyone who appreciates quality cuisine and authentic Tuscan hospitality.

01/12/2025: The dishes are excellent, balanced and flavorful, fully respecting Tuscan tradition, from "simple" crostini to more elaborate dishes. The average rating of 4.7 seems low; it deserves at least 4.8, if not higher. The service is extremely courteous, old-fashioned, with special attention to children. The wine selection is varied and excellent, although, as is to be expected, it focuses on the main local product, Brunello. I will gladly return to Re di Macchia.

09/11/2025: Magnificent location, very well-maintained and welcoming, located in front of the evocative Basilica of San Biagio, where you can easily find parking. Very kind and professional staff, high-quality food, impeccably cooked and presented, especially the porcini mushroom ravioli and quail Wellington, which we enjoyed. Not to mention the variety of desserts, which we really appreciated. Highly recommended.
