Such a lovely restaurant ! We really enjoyed the view but also the staff and the food. We spent a good time and were amazed by the association of taste of the various dishes all made with local and fresh food. The bread was so delicious too. We highly recommend it !

It was gorgeous and will definitely be a memorable moment from our trip to Tuscany. The food was wonderful, the service was amazing. We had the tasting set for dinner, and it was a fantastic experience. I highly recommend it; it's worth it!

We had such a fantastic experience at Locanda Demetra. We were originally booked for lunch (which no doubt would have been amazing) but decided to change to the cooking class experience instead. We loved learning about the farm, the produce, the seasonal cooking, and the impressive global training of Alessandro and his wife. The cooking class itself was a blast, and then the Demetra team plated and served us a huge beautiful meal outdoors on the terrace. My only tips: eat breakfast, because you will have a late lunch, and don’t book anything before 4pm! Also, expect you might not be hungry for dinner! If you don’t have time to devote to the class, I’d highly recommend lunch there instead.

Beautiful place, people and food!

A friend and I dined at this splendid inn overlooking the hills of the Val d'Orcia. The location is simply enchanting, and the veranda, with its breathtaking view, makes the experience even more special. When booking, I had mentioned some food allergies, and as soon as we arrived, the staff immediately recommended dishes suitable for our needs. They also reassured us that they could prepare other dishes without the allergens, demonstrating great attention and availability. We ordered a Florentine steak, truly excellent, accompanied by potatoes and a garden tomato salad: everything was fresh and delicious. The desserts were also excellent, truly special. I absolutely recommend this experience, both for the quality of the food and the extraordinary kindness and professionalism of the staff.

Alessandro was a wonderful teacher and we got to hear about his amazing story of how him and his family came to start this cooking school. I learned so much from the cooking class and was able to frequently ask him questions to better understand some of the thoughts behind Italian cooking. There were many families and children as young as 3 that participated and had a great time, and the food ended up being one of our favorite meals over our two week trip!

We came here for dinner, and it was one of the best we’ve had in Italy! Everything was incredibly fresh and tasted fantastic. We also really appreciated the service; the two servers were super friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is lovely, and the view is amazing. We’d like to thank you for a wonderful evening and highly recommend this place.

We attended the Tuscan cooking class and were absolutely thrilled and inspired. Our focus was on making different types of pasta, a meat dish, and tiramisu, always with an eye toward the region's traditional cuisine. Chef Alessandro's warm, charming, and humorous manner ensured that it didn't feel like school at all, but rather exactly as we had hoped: a relaxed event where fun was had and we still learned a great deal. For us, it was perfect in every way, hence the full five stars.
