The staff is always available and very courteous. The dishes are plentiful and of excellent quality. Compliments for the pici all'aglione and the wild boar. The prices are in line with the quality of the food. Another thing not to be missed is the chestnut jam.

I had lunch at Barilotto with my family and I must say it was a pleasant discovery. The food was excellent, authentic, and plentiful. The staff was courteous and helpful. The house red wine was very good, and the prices were average. I recommend booking well in advance as the place isn't very large and is always very busy. If I ever return to Santa Fiora, I will definitely have lunch here again.
A special shout out to Mario, a nice, kind, and helpful guy.

Lunch at a simple yet welcoming restaurant in the center of Santa Fiora. The first courses were excellent, featuring homemade artisanal pasta: pici with Cinta Senese white ragù and ravioli made with chestnut flour, spinach, and ricotta, all seasoned with the same sauce. Second courses: pork loin in Brunello wine with a side of cooked Swiss chard. For dessert, mixed sheep's and goat's milk ricotta with chestnut jam.
The service was quick and courteous. Prices were very reasonable; they even offered coffee to both my husband and I after dinner.

Il Barilotto, in Santa Fiora, is an excellent trattoria, serving quality food expertly prepared... it's like eating at home.
The pici with Cinta ragù are excellent, the wild boar stew is remarkable, and the ricotta with chestnut jam is outstanding.

After a bit of a struggle to reach the top where the restaurant is located :-), we were rewarded by the deliciousness and quality of the food we deserved to taste; excellent dishes prepared to perfection.
Perfect. Tortelli with truffle cream and chestnut tortelli, excellent pici with porcini mushrooms, and tagliatelle with wild boar ragù. An excellent and tender steak, tasty beans, and spectacular fried porcini mushrooms. Lovely place. The staff were very kind. We had a wonderful evening. Highly recommended.

What a lovely place: authentic food, generous portions, beautiful, simple flavors as only they once knew how, friendly waiters, and finally, wonderful prices! The only thing I wasn't sold on were the desserts, but otherwise, there was so much, so much!
