15/10/2025: Excellent Neapolitan pizza. We chose the pizzini option because we were a group, and it was satisfying; we were able to try many flavors. The restaurant has a lovely outdoor garden to enjoy during the day and the walk along the Arno River. The interior is large and charming. Fair prices. Also recommended for a business dinner. Parking nearby is easy to find.

Pizza and appetizers are nothing special... Good, average...
Excellent for groups... Very nice atmosphere, especially in the summer.

17/12/2025: We came here on our last night in Florence and it felt like we saved the best for last! Our server Andrea was welcoming and knowledgeable of the menu and made recommendations for us which we agreed to try and it did not disappoint! We could not have asked for a better final meal. The pear pasta is a must. We had high expectations after a full week of Italian cuisine and we still agree this was our favorite meal!
15/12/2025: For a €3 cover charge, maybe use a cloth tablecloth, not a paper placemat. The pasta is too hard to cook. The wine leaves a lot to be desired.

05/11/2025: Mercato Centrale is always a great experience! I’ve never been there when it isn’t bustling and busy, so my advice is to find a table for your party before grabbing food and drink. There are so many options for cuisines, and the drinks at the bar in the center are fantastic. Best Hugo Spritz in Florence! From the U.S.? Don’t skip the downstairs portion to buy all your friends and family seasonings, candy, and other food souvenirs. Note that the hours on the bottom floor are a bit shorter, so go earlier in the day!

In my experience, the tagliolini with white truffle and the wild boar stew are a plus. Simply delicious and tender.
In my opinion, the dessert selection could be improved.

10/12/2025: The meat was very tender, although the tripe seemed to have a lot of fat, but both were quite delicious. I recommend ordering it spicy. The staff are rather romantic and often busy with other things, so the wait can be quite long. Be careful while waiting in line, as pigeons sometimes perch above; watch out for them! There are a decent number of seats for dine-in, and the turnover rate is quite high, so you shouldn't have to worry about not getting a table after a short wait.
07/12/2025: A great spot in the Florence market to eat a good lampredoto sandwich (offal in sauce).

For appetizers, we had fried polenta with chicken livers and tartare. Followed by two first courses: gnocchi with mushrooms and wild herbs and pasta with white ragù.
Everything was delicious and excellent value!

31/10/2025: The rooms and service at this hotel are great. We booked a room with a balcony facing the Arno River and loved just drinking wine and taking in the view from the room. The interior felt like a classical royal residence, decorated with large art pieces that really immersed us into the culture. It’s also a convenient walk to everything, as well as getting to and from the train station. We didn’t make too much use of the concierge but the staff was very welcoming and helpful, probably the nicest of any hotel we stayed during this trip to Italy. They lent us 2 umbrellas on the one day that it rained.

02/11/2025: I ate pizza with a friend and we were both very satisfied. The pizza was good, well-topped, the atmosphere was bright, fresh, clean, and tidy, and the waitresses were friendly. The bathrooms were also clean and tidy, with soap, toilet paper, and paper towels. They also have a spacious disabled bathroom and a nice changing table for changing diapers. Excellent!
Please note: sometimes it's not possible to order takeout pizzas because, if the place is busy, they have a lot of work to do and lots of pizzas to bake, perhaps already ordered before you, so you'll need to call right away when they open or be prepared to wait indefinitely.
