24/08/2025: The food was good, not remarkable but good. The reason for the review was the service. We ordered 2 appetizers and 3 entrees to share as a party of four. The staff acted upset that we asked for things to be brought when ready so we can share. I think they interpreted that we meant everything at the same time. But even still it shouldn’t be a particularly big deal. They treated us rudely for the remainder of the dinner.

23/08/2025: Very disappointed... The place and the waiters are friendly but the food is clearly not worth the price. The tomato dish was way too salty, almost as if it had been prepared with an industrial sauce. For the second dish, the ''roosbeaf with wine'' was more of a ''roosbeaf with oil'' than anything else... If you are an epicurean, it is better not to stop here. If you are just hungry and in a hurry to eat, the restaurant will do the trick.

26/08/2025: I eat there for lunch; it has a special agreement with my workplace. I always take enough to get me back to work in about 30 minutes. That's all I can do; I can't add anything for dinner.

07/08/2025: This hotel is 25 minutes from the Duomo, but very closed to the theatre and the tramway, so depends on where you want to go. They do bot have their own parking, and outsource their parking, which needs 1 hour notice in advance. Rooms are okay, but their mattress is stiff and you can feel the spring, and they don't have thinner pillows. It's not comfortable for sleep. And they are not very eco-friendly, they don't recycle in rooms and the air conditioning doesn't turn off when you open the windows, electricity doesn't get cut off when you exit.

05/08/2025: Very convenient for visiting Florence. Renovated, on the banks of the Arno. Ideal for a walk or a morning run. Renovated hotel, very decent and clean rooms. The rooftop restaurant offers great views of the city and good food. I found the breakfast average, and parking a bit expensive considering it's not in the city center. A very pleasant 20-minute walk to Ponte Vecchio.

24/08/2025: We went based on a recommendation from the host where we were staying and the online reviews looked great. When we went, there were only two parties all night so it isn't exactly busy. We are vegetarian so the menu is a bit limited for us. We expected a lot more but everything we ordered was below average in taste with very very small portions for the price. My wife finished 1/4th of her risotto and abandoned the rest. My 12-year old got 3 tortellini for the kid's meal for EUR 10. This was our least favorite meal on our 10-day Italy trip across Rome, Florence and Venice. The great reviews are a bit perplexing to be honest.

16/08/2025: Martarè has to be the best restaurant we've visited over our two weeks in Italy. I only wish I had grabbed pictures of our meals instead of only our wines. We made a reservation here through our Airbnb host's recommendation. Each plate was carefully crafted and well balanced with flavor. Portions were perfect. We started with The Selection of Typical Tuscan Dishes then I had the Reginette fatte in casa al ragù di cortile. The pasta was incredible, and the ragù was so flavorful. My husband had the Baccalà con l’uva, which he said was also amazing. The wine recommendations were on point my rose was exactly what I wanted and my husband's red wine suited him as well. If you're in Florence you must check this place out, you won't regret it!

23/08/2025: Golden View in Florence was a wonderful experience! Our waiter was especially attentive and friendly, which made us feel very welcome as tourists. The food was very delicious, but the portions were small.The view is amazing.

17/08/2025: The view/environment is great, and service is ok. However, the food is poor and overpriced. I regret not reading the 1-star reviews beforehand. I arrived with high expectations, which quickly turned into disappointment. The scallops were a little overcooked, and pairing with that thick-mayonnaise like sauce is a wrong choice. The zucchini flowers were too oily; and the pasta was excessively salty. After the second dish, we decided to leave for another place for dessert. To the owner: your chef needs to be re-schooled. Being creative is good but this should never at the cost of good taste. Plus, if you charge 12% service fee, I expect some waiters be more professional (like serving each person’s appetizer at the same time). Finally, most people entering your restaurant knowing this place is pricy. The price is never the issue. As long as the food quality matches the price, no one would ever complain.

16/08/2025: Lovely pizzeria, located right in the main square of San Donato, serves delicious pizzas with made with a thin crust and tastes amazing. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for families. The staff are very kind and patient, taking the time to explain the menu in detail. We enjoyed it so much that we came back twice during our holiday! Highly recommended.

13/08/2025: The worst pizza in my life. Actually, it's not pizza, but pita bread with filling. Dessert: we ordered tiramisu. They brought ice cream with tiramisu flavor. But we ordered dessert, not ice cream. On the good side: the location is beautiful

02/09/2025: Great little place, we really enjoyed for a ‚local‘ experience… until the bill can with different prices than the menu. That always makes you feel like you are not so local after all.. house wine went from 10 to 14 and pasta from 11.50 to 12

03/08/2025: Excellent trattoria. Typical Tuscan cuisine: probably the best Florentine steak I've ever eaten. Professional and punctual service. Rustic yet pleasant atmosphere. Adequate prices. Highly recommended.

27/07/2025: I went there with a friend after he'd already been there several times. He'd spoken highly of it, so I was intrigued and decided to try it with him. I have to say, I was right to trust him! Excellent quality across the board, fast and very clear tablet service, a cute place, and prices for an all-you-can lunch that were truly ridiculous considering how low they are (€21 per person with water). Despite the many Japanese restaurants in Empoli, this is definitely one of the best, if not the best, despite being in an industrial area and not being very trustworthy from the outside. I'll definitely be back, without a doubt.

11/09/2025: Came here two nights in a row when we only had two nights in Florence! Food and vibe is just what you need after a long day of exploring. Relaxed, food is fairly priced, food comes quick enough but you don’t feel rushed. Portion sizes are good enough but the food so delightful you want more :) Recommend all the vegetarian pastas

08/09/2025: I dined alone at this restaurant and ate very, very well. AMBIENCE: The restaurant is adjacent to the Basilica of Santa Croce. It's clean, simple, rustic, and has a few tables outside. SERVICE: The young man who served me was extremely kind, as were his staff, even if only to keep me from spending the entire evening alone at the table. I asked for suggestions on what to choose from the various options, and he was very kind in offering some suggestions. FOOD: Everything was very good, from the Tuscan crostini, to the pappa al pomodoro, and the perfectly cooked fillet steak. I ordered a good Tuscan wine to accompany the meal. I must say, there was a lot of wine. Obviously, I couldn't ask for too old a vintage for the glass, but the quality of the wine was good. If I'd been with company, I would have chosen a bottle of a certain quality and a few years older. VALUE FOR MONEY: Absolutely excellent value, in line with the reasonable prices of restaurants in central Florence, as well as on the outskirts (in Scandicci, at a very similar restaurant, I paid practically the same amount). OVERALL OPINION: Highly recommended for the staff, the good food, and the location.

27/07/2025: Wat hebben we genoten. Prachtige ligging, eerst stukje over terrein gelopen om alles te zien, aardige bediening, heerlijk eten kortom top. 40 euro pp inc wijn water en limoncello of grappa na. Zou meteen terug willen gaan.

18/07/2025: Location semplicemente stupenda. La sig.ra Perla di una cortesia e di una disponibilità unica. Il mangiare sempre abbondante e di una qualita eccellente. Qualita prezzo superiore a tutti. Il cameriere Massimiliano sempre pronto ad esaudire ogni richiesta dei commensali.
