25/08/2024: This place was highly recommended and after confirming online that it was open, we walked 30 minutes only to find that it was closed... for the month of August. Would suggest that ownership update it's hours of operation in Google maps if it's going to close for month. The website/facebook page indicates the closure however that isn't where most travellers first look for directions or operating hour info.

02/08/2024: Unfortunately not the best pizza. Was very average. Felt like everything is mass produced. Not worth the time waiting in the queue. Just shows you how misleading these reviews can be.

01/09/2024: This restaurant has a panoramic view of Florence. Reservations are not required, but it is convenient if you do so. The night view of Florence is beautiful. The restaurant atmosphere is also great. The employees have good manners and the food is also good.

25/07/2024: A bit of a dissapointing experience. After being seated we waited for more than half an hour for the waiter to take our order even after notifying them that we wanted to order several times, leading us to almost leaving as we felt ignored. After having ordered we received an entry that were average at best. Our main, the steak, were fine but not really worth the price. We got a side that were off menu. Our mistake were maybe to not ask for the price of said side but it was overpriced in comparison to the other sides on the menu and way overpriced when regarding what we received. Overall this was the first and only restaurant experience we had in Tuscany that left us with a dissapointing experience, even though it was the most expensive.

23/07/2024: !!!Spectacular!!! They gave us the opportunity to eat at the last minute. Their Cuban waitress is the nicest and most charming person in the world and the food was a true luxury.

29/08/2024: Amazing! A few meters from the statue of the little pig (the wild boar) in Piazza del Mercato, there is this kiosk that serves Schiacciate, classic sandwiches and sandwiches with lampredotto. The lampredotto is the fourth stomach of the calf, abomasum, which, properly cooked in a broth rich in flavour, is then chopped and stuffed into a crispy bread, just soaked in its internal part in the same cooking broth, followed by green sauce, salt and pepper . Delicious and irresistible flavour. Very honest prices, €5 for this delight, bottled beer €3.50, water €1.50. It is also served in the "tray" version and therefore accompanied by bread on the side. The courtesy and kindness of the boy who prepared the sandwich are on par with the delicacy served. Curiosity: the name lampredotto derives from the resemblance of the stomach to an eel that lived in the Arno river, called lamprey, hence the name.

25/07/2023: We have been to Florence many times, and eaten at many of the restaurants here, including the well known ones and many off the tourist path - we were here for one month and how lucky we were to find Salino - it is one of the best meals we have ever eaten in Florence. Key features: Carolina who served us is so warm and friendly, as is the chef. Remarkable and attentive service. The atmosphere is elegant but NOT stuffy - it is a smaller and incredibly beautiful place. And third, the food - truly outstanding - I have eaten many steaks in Florence, and this was categorically the best yet - but the pastas are also divine. Fabulous!!

01/09/2024: Excellent lunch based on excellent meat... today perhaps a little too crowded (Saturday, August) but very attentive and punctual service.

30/08/2024: OK experience. No more, no less. Did a 45 minute drive to get there, and I wouldn’t do it again since food is good almost anywhere in Italy. Had a fun apero moment in front of the restaurant. Dinner followed, and we were disappointed to see that the meal is pretty much ONLY meat. Servers go around with plates of meat, and simply drop some pieces in your plates without explaining what it is. It was good, but lacked seasoning. After eating meat for 1 hour and a half, the meal finishes with a plain baked potato 🙃. There is a simple olive oil cake served for dessert which was simple but good. Cool thing is that good wine and water is included. Overall, it is not worth the hype. Only go if you’re a huge meat lover.

03/07/2024: The products are really good, the special bread, made in the old fashioned way, they are very patient and courteous, it's a little difficult to stop by car but it's still worth it for the goodness of the products.

18/08/2024: This is hands down our favorite restaurant! Zurich is one of our most favorite places in the world partly because of this restaurant! Great ragu, parmesan risotto, best mousse globally, tiramisu and lemon torte! Great atmosphere inside and out! Hope to be back someday as still dreaming of the delicious cuisine!

15/08/2024: We loved the decor of this place, but the food was a little disappointing. We ordered the stuffed courgette, which was correct, but the tagliatelle we tried didn't quite convince us; the quality of the meat left much to be desired. We also tried the pappardelle in ragout, which turned out to be quite lackluster. The place is very nice, but the food is not up to par, a shame.

27/08/2024: Beautiful view, but food leaves something to be desired. We went based on a recommendation from an Instagram blog, but apparently it was a "bought" review. Worst food I tasted in Italy. Bruschetta with tasteless tomato and pure garlic. The pasta looked like it came from a package bought at the market and the seasoning from the strong sauce too. The only thing that was worth it was the view, but that's the case in other places too. I don't recommend it.

26/08/2024: Nice environment, helpful and friendly staff. There were two of us and we opted for a 1kg 600g Florentine steak cooked rare (obviously) it literally melted in the mouth from how tender it was, delicious in every respect, for a side dish we chose delicious roasted potatoes with rosemary and for dessert two superlative tiramisu. Super recommended for us and we will definitely return.
