18/06/2025: Da I' Pianca is located at Viale della Repubblica 34, Barberino di Mugello (FI). According to the online information, it's a very affordable pizzeria, but our experience was quite different. There were four of us: two adults and two children. We only ordered three pizzas in total, as the calzone was shared between the two children. Here's what we paid: €10 – Pizza with sausage and fries €10 – Calzone with mushrooms (shared between the children) €9 – Marinara with whole wheat dough €4 – Glass of house wine €6 – Two Sprites €1 – Water €8 – Cover charge for 4 people Total: €48 The main problem: The receipt only showed the total amount, without any individual items or quantities. After paying, we realized the lack of clarity and went back to ask for an explanation. We were then shown a spontaneously handwritten piece of paper with circled numbers that supposedly represented the prices of our pizzas. Just numbers, no names. It looked like a lottery ticket. Another point of criticism: We were only shown a list of "specialty pizzas," all starting at €9. Classic pizzas like marinara, Margherita, or calzone weren't listed. When we asked if there was a list of regular pizzas, we were told they made all the pizzas – just without listing them on the menu. The result: A marinara, which normally costs €4-5, was charged to us for €9 – the same as a specialty pizza. The absurd thing is that you're in a small town, but the prices are just as high – if not higher – as in popular tourist areas like Porto Cervo. The lack of pricing clarity, the complete lack of a transparent menu, and the impossibility of knowing in advance what you're paying made the experience very disappointing. Anyone planning to eat at Da I' Pianca should be aware that the restaurant is by no means very cheap, contrary to what review sites suggest. The traditional pizzas aren't listed on the menu, don't have prices, and sometimes cost more than the specialty pizzas. Furthermore, there's no detailed receipt – and explanations are only available upon request. And that's for an order of just three pizzas for four people. Such non-transparent pricing is unacceptable. Not recommended for anyone who values ​​fairness and value for money.

12/06/2025: Had the most tender steak with mushrooms here for lunch. We were a little apprehensive with it being so close to the train station but everything we had was delicious. Can't stop thinking about how tender and flavorful that steak was!

01/06/2025: The pizza was okay. I waited 1.5 hours for the Fiorentina, but when I asked for it, it came within 2 minutes. It was served cold and the outside was burnt. The server was a bit unfriendly when I ordered.

30/05/2025: I didn't ask for anything from this pizza, but it gave me everything. It's the kind of pizza that makes you feel like a child again. Not perfect, but it's in that moment, while you're eating it, that you realize that it was everything you needed. There were three of us eating it, and all three of us thought exactly that... it must mean something. Very kind staff.

23/06/2025: Welcoming place, well furnished, spacious and not too noisy. Good choice between meat, fish and pizza, mostly simple cuisine but it satisfied us. Big problem was the waiting times and the poor availability of the waiters, there were 4 of us and for each course the dishes arrived at different times. We had to point out several times that some dishes were missing. The rush arrived all at once when it was time to pay ;)

Room was clean and the breakfast was amazing - large variety and friendly to all dietary needs. I highly recommend choosing this hotel.

19/05/2025: Passed by Sunday early afternoon, since the window had mostly mignon, I was attracted by a Sicilian cannolo with a tag that said CANNOLO SICILIANO. Nice to eat but I immediately realized that it was not ricotta cream. I asked at the counter and they confirmed that the filling was also made with cream. Please ..... don't call it Sicilian ...

Very good pizza, nice selection of craft beers, average prices. True I was in a hurry, but I left a tip. I definitely recommend it
