26/07/2025: Very nice place, very unique decor. It's a seafood-only restaurant, very good. You can tell the fish is fresh and it's served with care. The staff is young and friendly.

04/10/2025: The best pizza in the area: available by the slice (thin, tasty, and crispy) and in the classic pan format. Special mention goes to the stuffed schiacciata and the pancetta and arugula white slice! My girlfriend and I always find the perfect comfort food for long, stressful work weeks here. Excellent value, but what's most impressive is the kindness and professionalism of the owners (a truly sweet couple ❤️) and their employees.

07/10/2025: I've been going to this restaurant since 2018. I called to reserve a table and they gave me the table next to the front door, with the dog's bowl and the dog underneath. I asked and they moved me. Waiters who throw your plate on the table, an appetizer, an entrecote, and a small portion of vegetables, half a house red wine, €63. Never again.

06/10/2025: A very large space with a nice parking lot where you can fully appreciate the desire for "meat." The desserts are also exceptional.

10/10/2025: Cavour is a lifesaver! Our hotel’s up the hill (a beautiful property called Podere Benintendi) but Cavour was able to deliver! That, plus the Capricciosa pizza, La Cavour focacce, and Caesar salad were all amazing. Generous toppings, fillings, and size! Thank you! Satisfied customers here 🙏🏽

11/10/2025: I ordered the tripe and beef platter, which was delicious, lightly seasoned, and without the offal smell. The tripe was better than the beef, very soft and sticky. However, this restaurant is too famous, and the queue was at least 20 minutes!

11/10/2025: The bread tastes like Vietnamese bread, but the extra salt makes the tripe bun too salty, which is a pity.

05/10/2025: I was a little disappointed with the coffee in Florence, unusual for Italy, maybe the abbundance of tourists has allowed standards to slip but, not here. A proper, old fashioned, hidden gem of a coffee house. Great cappuccino, strong flavour and well steamed milk. Along with a little pastry, a nice, relaxed start to the day.

01/09/2025: Looking for a place to eat lampredotto, we found this one by chance. And thank goodness...the lampredotto is very good, and the schiacciate too. The staff is very kind and helpful.

31/08/2025: For a bar situated right by the Ponte Vecchio, I went in with low expectations, assuming they'd be extorting tourists. Thankfully, that wasn't the case at all. We were pleasantly surprised by their evening happy hour prices, which were incredibly reasonable. We each got a drink, including Prosecco, beers, and an Aperol spritz, for our final hoorah before heading home.

15/10/2025: I really enjoyed our visit, it is a fully vegan establishment and, although I'm not vegan myself, I was happy to 'give it a go', the food was really interesting and the service very pleasant. This would be to perfect quiet retreat for a young vegan couple. I definitely recommend it, I felt comfortable and relaxed here, it is very laid back and welcoming. That goes for Certaldo Alto and the Tuscany region of Italy in general to, though ☺️

18/09/2025: The location is fantastic, with a spectacular view, the food is delicious and every little detail is taken care of, as is everything else. The waiter was extremely knowledgeable about everything. It was a wonderful experience discovering new flavors.

16/09/2025: I think it's one of the most beautiful places in Florence. The atmosphere is very pleasant, the pizza is unbeatable, 😋 It gives me the same feeling as the one I ate in Naples, it's so good. Only the first course was too al dente for my personal taste, but that's how they eat in Naples. Despite everything, I highly recommend the squid ink calamarata with calamari and yellow cherry tomatoes. The spaghetti carbonara frittatina, which is an appetizer, is truly a symphony of deliciousness: on the outside it looks like a giant croquette, while on the inside it's the discovery of carbonara, beautifully flavorful and slightly creamy. To finish a dinner on a high note, you need dessert: the babamisu (a tiramisu with baba soaked in coffee liqueur instead of ladyfingers) made my husband very happy; with Lulù, which is a giant cream puff filled with whipped cream flavored with limoncello, I discovered a dessert I hadn't heard of. I've been a pastry chef for over 10 years. Excellent combination. Courteous staff, some smiling, and short wait times. I recommend going there, especially if you need to impress a girl. The wisteria-covered gate is very pretty, and there's a small pergola decorated with fake plants that really make a statement. We even had candlelight dinner. We really enjoyed it. Reservations are recommended for these two spots in the restaurant. There's actually plenty of seating, and the space is spacious. If you don't have any special needs, I think you can find a spot.
