I booked for Easter taking advantage of the interesting promo on the site. I must say that, given the reviews and also seeing the friendly owner who lists his dishes on various social networks, I expected a medium-high level of dishes. Unfortunately, this expectation was partially disappointed. We took, among other things, croutons; , good but without salt, some pappardelle with mushrooms... unspeakable, a shame about the pasta which was homemade but in fact raw and loose, just as the potato tortelli were raw (a shame because quails were also homemade), not even the hamburger as expected. To conclude, I was sorry for the 'lack of finesse' of the person who, when doing the calculation for me, made it a point to point out that it was 202.60 and not two hundred as I rounded up for the sole purpose of making the division easier three, certainly not to give me a discount of 2.60 euros! The waitresses at the tables were very kind, the Peposo was delicious!! Sin!! I hope it was due to the holiday! Or maybe absences in the kitchen..

I've been to this place several times and it's always a certainty. It is a restaurant in the center but it is not a tourist trap, the value for money is excellent as are the dishes offered, good and with generous portions. Obviously you can never miss the mixed cutting board suggested by them!

Classic Tuscan cuisine excellently prepared - especially the Peposo. Very courteous and friendly staff. We liked it very much.

From reading the menu, this beautiful place immerses you in the heart of Tuscany. We ate very well from starters to desserts, accompanied by courteous service, always ready but never intrusive. A more than positive note for the chef, author of a "curtain" in "defense" of the cooking of a cut. The certainty is that if we return to Florence, we will return to eat here.

Locale prenotato con The Fork, situato nel centro di Firenze a pochi passi dal Duomo. Specialità del Mattecena è la cucina Toscana, quindi i nostri piatti si sono indirizzati su questi gusti. Servizio ai tavoli sufficiente, da migliorare la velocità nel servire tra un primo e un secondo piatto. I piatti scelti sia gli antipasti che gli altri sono stati nella media, sinceramente mi aspettavo di più

Ci sono stato a cena con la mia fidanzata. Locale centrale e carino! Piatti molto abbondanti e molto molto buoni! Abbiamo scelto patè di fegato con polenta, pasta all'ortolana, ribollita e peposo all'impruneta. Personale estremamente gentile! Conto onesto molto ammorbidito da thè fork! Bravi! Consigliato!
