I ordered barbecue ribs and there was a piece that was only half cooked

On the recommendation of the lady at our B&B, we had dinner at Mattacena. We ate well and found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. We highly recommend it. We highly recommend their local products, which we thoroughly enjoyed. The meat was excellent and very tender.

We took advantage of a TheFork offer for dinner on Thursday, March 26th: it was excellent, with excellent meat paired with a nice Chianti at a good price. The service was very friendly!

Good food! Exceptional hospitality and service!

Very nice restaurant, convenient to the city center and the train station, clean, and offering typical Florentine products, as well as a few fish and vegetarian options. Extensive menu, with the option of choosing half portions for some dishes (an excellent option for those who want to try multiple dishes). Friendly staff, service a bit slow; the waiter keeps track of your orders, without writing anything down. His memory is excellent. It's a shame I asked for a half portion of fried flowers and got the whole one. Also, having just one waiter for the entire dining room is a bit limited. We were a bit neglected, and since we had a newborn with us, we had to run away at one point (since she was tired and we had a reservation for the Uffizi Gallery shortly after) without being able to try the desserts or have a coffee. In any case, the dishes were excellent, and the experience is highly recommended (go early if you're in a hurry). For two first courses, an appetizer, a glass of wine, and a water, we spent just over €60. Suitable for children, there is a small step for access.

Excellent food, the tortelli and osso buco are memorable, and the lampredotto is just below par. The staff is courteous, and the quality/price ratio is excellent. The portions are extraordinarily generous.

During our stay in Florence, we stopped for lunch at Osteria Mattacena and were truly satisfied. The restaurant is welcoming and has a warm atmosphere, perfect for enjoying traditional Florentine cuisine. We tried traditional dishes, and everything was truly flavorful, prepared with fresh, quality ingredients. The portions were just right, and we were pleased to see the care taken in preparing each dish. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, making us feel immediately at ease. A pleasant and relaxing lunch, perfect for those who want to savor authentic Tuscan cuisine even at lunchtime.
