07/12/2025: Last night for dinner, I came to try DimSum's cuisine. The quality of the ingredients is top-notch, and all the dishes were delicious. We ordered four ramen noodles and two portions of dumplings, one with grilled meat and one with xialombao. The xialombao were excellent, probably the dish I liked best and most surprised me the most of the entire dinner! The filling was juicy, soft, and aromatic, truly excellent. As for the ramen, they were very good and well-made. However, the main problem is probably the price, more specifically the price of the dumplings. Although they were good, €8 for three dumplings seems excessive in my opinion, a price that I would have tolerated if the portion had been for four dumplings. We paid €19.20 per person. The service was basic and friendly, and the place was elegant. Overall, a pleasant experience, but I think there are places of the same caliber in the city at more affordable prices.

12/11/2025: The place has a relaxed atmosphere, with simple but pleasant decor. I was served quickly and very politely, which was evident as soon as I walked in. Everything was well-organized and clean, which always makes a good impression. I found it to be an ideal place to go alone, with friends, or with family. The prices are reasonable, and the service was attentive but not intrusive. Overall, a very positive experience that made me want to return.

17/11/2025: What an incredibly dining experience. We were lucky to secure reservations. The food, the wine and the service are all phenomenal. They save the best cut of beef for last, so save room.

17/11/2025: We went to Macelleria Cecchini yesterday, and honestly, the experience fell short of our expectations. The heavy social media exposure probably led us to imagine something better, more refined, and engaging. The meat is certainly high-quality, no complaints there. The problem is that it's served almost alone, accompanied only by beans: without at least two or three different side dishes to complement it, it ends up being a bit cloying, meaning it gets boring after a while, despite the quality of the ingredients. The baked potato, which should be a side dish, becomes almost a main course with Chianti butter. The impression is that the "Cecchini" persona and all his fame have taken over the actual gastronomic experience. The wine was the most disappointing: modest quality, especially considering the €50 menu. It's true that you can bring your own bottle, but a better option from them would have been welcome. In short: good, but not great. A pleasant lunch, but far from what we expected after so much fame.

19/11/2025: Aside from the fact that they let us book almost past closing time and were really nice, the friendly and professional service is worth mentioning. The food is also excellent, spectacular dishes, and great prices. Don't miss this trattoria, and definitely order the tortelli, they're wonderful 🤩

04/11/2025: My boyfriend, I and some of our friends have been there several times and we highly recommend it because it makes good dishes (for example, we are crazy about the potato tortelli).

18/09/2025: We were at Café Leonardo yesterday and tried the cantuccini – they tasted absolutely excellent, highly recommended! We initially bought four mixed bags for €5 each. Later, we wanted to buy another bag, but it suddenly cost €5.50. We only noticed this by looking closely at the debit card reader. Upon inquiry, we were told that there was a surcharge for "other varieties" – even though it was clearly stated that the bags cost €5. Unfortunately, the whole thing seemed like a bit of a tourist rip-off, which is a shame, as the first salesperson was really friendly and welcoming. The taste was excellent, but the inconsistency in the prices left a bitter aftertaste.

23/11/2025: Fantastic experience! It's been a long time since I've had sushi this well-prepared and with such a wide selection of choices. The staff was incredibly friendly, the ordering was convenient and the wait time was just right. The atmosphere was warm, with statues of famous anime/manga characters. What was even better was the option to buy matching chopsticks—really cute! This will be a must-visit every time I come to Florence.

18/10/2025: It is a unique experience to spend at least a night in this location. The room we stayed in was huge, clean and decorated with good taste, keeping the ancient atmosphere. It features a kitchenette in case of need. The infinity pool has breathtaking views and it's a perfect relaxation location. It's a pity though is not heated, but also understandable for the region, as not quite needed normally. Still, the 18 degrees water temperature in the late October days was a bit too challenging, still.

27/11/2025: Our experience here was disappointing overall. We visited as a group of five — including one child and two grandparents — and planned to share a couple of pastas, a Florentine steak, and a couple of sides. Instead of accommodating this, the server pushed to bring “equal portions” of both pastas for all five people. We were never told this would increase the cost so dramatically, and the two pastas alone ended up totaling about €100. It felt more like an upsell than genuine guidance. The food itself was underwhelming. Our Florentine steak was bland and noticeably under-seasoned — especially disappointing after watching the same server present another table’s steak with salt sprinkled alongside the meat. The inconsistency was hard to overlook. There was also no coperto listed, and the server made a direct comment that came across as soliciting a tip, which is not customary in Italy and felt uncomfortable. Overall, the unexpected pricing, upselling tactics, bland food, inconsistent presentation, and pressure for a tip made this a disappointing visit. Two stars for the ambiance, but we would not return.
