Buca Lapi In Firenze

An authentic restaurant, with delicious dishes and a very welcoming and warm atmosphere. The service was professional, elegant, and unusually kind. They helped us choose the perfect wine to complement our dishes and recommended the best local specialties to try. For our first course, we chose the Senese pici with tomato sauce; for our second course, the grilled steak with a mixed garden salad. The ingredients were extremely fresh and of excellent quality. The pici were truly exquisite! To finish, we tried the zuccotto, which was very good and light.

The food, service, and atmosphere were all absolutely perfect. I was particularly worried because it was so hot outside, but I didn't feel the heat at all while eating and really enjoyed the meal. It was convenient to order a variety of dishes to share. Reservations seem to be a must.

Buca Lapi is a perfect balance between good food, nice place and comfort. I really like this restaurant. Steak Fiorentina is always done very well. The way it should be. Tasty. Smokey. And pastas options here are amazing. Try the pappardelle cinghiale. Today they had amazing porcini mushroom pappardelle. Service is fast. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Thumbs up!

This is my absolutely special place in Florence - the steak is the best you can find in town, the staff is professional and the owner Luciano is super generous, kind and charismatic. p.s. chocolate dessert is highly recommended

We had just arrived after 16 hours of a travel day and this was perfect! Great and quick service, and the pasta was absolutely phenomenal. The bread was just okay. But the pasta was unreal!! So light and delicious

Firenze steak and all the other courses were excellent. The service was perfect. The complimentary dessert was delicious and a kind gesture. The atmosphere was cosy and the internet was not good so having time for chat and relaxing was perfect.

Florentine Steak Dinner in a Beautiful Historic Setting We had a wonderful dinner at Buca Lapi and it ended up being one of our favourite dining experiences in Florence. We ordered the Bistecca alla Fiorentina with sautéed spinach, paired with a lovely Chianti Classico. The steak was excellent — beautifully charred on the outside, tender and juicy inside, with that rich, smoky flavour that makes Florentine steak so special. Simple, high-quality ingredients done properly. The spinach was the perfect accompaniment and the Chianti complemented the meal beautifully. The venue itself is amazing, full of old-world charm and character with a warm, historic atmosphere that made the evening feel extra special. The restaurant was busy but in a very pleasant way — mostly smaller tables of 2–4 people which created a relaxed and intimate dining vibe without feeling overly loud or chaotic. Service throughout the evening was warm, polished and attentive. We finished the night with a lovely limoncello which was the perfect end to the meal. A very popular spot and understandably so — reservations are highly recommended.
