Known as the oldest restaurants in Florence, people come here for the ambience and the steak. From the second I entered, I had top-notch service by the owner and my waiter. The sage gnocchi is to die for. I also had the florentine steak for one, which is A LOT but worth it! The ambience here is great too, I wish they had some quiet music playing in the background though, it was very quiet when it had opened at 7 pm and people started dining.

Loved it. Was below ground level, so you have no use for your phone the entire dinner, other than for taking photos.
Service was excellent, food was fantastic. Loved the cannoloni, the poached pear and the steak. Though raw wasn't my thing. Highly recommend a reservation as they do get crowded.

It was an affordable, transparent restaurant with hardly any foreigners, catering mainly to locals!
It is such a shame to visit this restaurant on my last day in Florence. If I had more time, I would definitely have come back!!
Went here in March of 2026, I had the steak and some mashed potatoes, safe to say it was very good. Cooked perfectly and went well with the sides. The worker was very polite and efficient. But don’t eat to much bread if you are having there famous steaks! Would give this place a BRO recommendation.

A quaint restaurant in the heart of Florence where you can enjoy a truly excellent Florentine steak of exceptional quality.
A wide selection of typical Tuscan dishes and wines.
The staff is knowledgeable and very friendly. Prices aren't exactly cheap, but they're in line with the quality of the offerings and the location in Florence. Believe me, you'll leave feeling truly satisfied.
The complimentary gift at the end of the meal was very much appreciated.
My only concern is the architectural barriers.
