08/08/2025: Had a divine lunch with a spectacular view. Excellent food, top-notch service. Then we spent the afternoon on the beach... top-notch service with awnings, loungers, beach towels, pillows... private shower. Wonderful saltwater pool.

12/08/2025: Ci siamo capitati quasi per caso, cercando un posto dove mangiare una fiorentina nel Chianti, a pranzo in un giorno infrasettimanale, dopo aver trovato diverse serrande abbassate. E abbiamo scoperto solo dopo una volta entrati che era un posto un po' speciale. Da Padellina si mangia una cucina toscana semplice e ben fatta, con salumi locali e un'ottima bistecca alla fiorentina cucinata come si deve e ai prezzi giusti, certo. Ma è anche il contesto ad aggiungere qualcosa. L'ambiente è caldo, strapieno di oggetti, foto e biglietti da visita con i ringraziamenti all'oste, che è un personaggio. Il simpatico titolare, detto 'padellina', è un cultore di Dante che ama, sembra, recitare a memoria ai clienti (su youtube ci sono dei video, ho poi scoperto).

19/08/2025: Affordable! Not cheap. Something for meat and wine lovers. A glance at the wine list is a "sinful revelation" when a "good red" costs more than champagne. It's not something you'd eat every day, but... First-class service!

05/08/2025: The restaurant isn't very large, but it's very welcoming. There were four of us and we'd booked online after finding it on the AIC app while we were vacationing nearby. We were immediately greeted with a complimentary aperitif of spritz and peanuts, which they promptly pointed out were unsuitable for me, a celiac, as neither was certified gluten-free. We ordered four pizzas, three with gluten (two Fantasias and one Orto del Re) and one gluten-free (Fantasia, photo attached). All were delicious and very light, including the gluten-free pizza, one of the best I've ever tasted. Even the gluten-free dough is made in-house, and you can barely taste the difference.

05/08/2025: Excellent pizza, free aperitif, and nothing like the pizzerias in the area. Delicious pizza with a menu that blends modern and traditional. I always say the pizza is so good once you've finished it, you'll want to order another. The ingredients and dough are top-notch. Add to that the polite service and the 10/10 is well deserved.

25/07/2025: Had a lovely meal close to the leaning tower but not a tourist hotspot so it was lovely and peaceful for a meal. The wine was great and very reasonably priced and the food was also fantastic. The staff were great especially with our 1 year old baby.

13/08/2025: Where do I begin? This hotel charges 5-star prices but delivers a 3-star experience. The rooms and social media posts don’t reflect true luxury or true florentine décor — the rooms are small, more like a motel than a high-end hotel. They serve basic American coffee in-room (no Italian coffee, surprisingly), and provide only one complimentary small plastic bottle of water for the entire stay — after that, you pay. The staff are polite but poorly trained. The rooftop pool closes at 7 pm and opens to the public, meaning paying guests are told to leave — shouldn’t guests come first? The gym is nice, but you have to book a time to use it, which I’ve never seen anywhere else in the world. Breakfast is disappointing, with Kellogg’s cereal and no real Italian cuisine. It felt more like a generic American buffet breakfast than a taste of Italy. Would not recommend for the price, go and stay at a 5-star family suite across the road at the Place or the Portrait.

His thoughtful care left a lasting impression and truly enhanced our experience. The check-in process was seamless and conducted with the utmost professionalism. Our suite was beautifully appointed and thoughtfully stocked, offering every comfort we could have wished for. The hotel’s location is unbeatable—right in the heart of Florence, allowing us to explore the city’s rich history and vibrant charm entirely on foot. The buffet breakfasts were plentiful and offered a perfect variety. The entire staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort, always greeting us with a smile, which made for a wonderful way to start each day. After days filled with sightseeing, the rooftop pool provided a perfect retreat in the afternoons, where we could relax before enjoying wonderful dinners in the city. In summary, Grand Hotel Minerva is an outstanding choice. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay, and we eagerly look forward to our next visit.

08/08/2025: Trattoria da Nonna Clara is absolutely amazing—a true hidden gem that captures the heart of Italian home cooking. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, just like stepping into a family kitchen, and the food is nothing short of spectacular. Their lasagna is, without a doubt, the best I’ve ever had outside of my own Nonna’s—layers of tender pasta, rich meat sauce, and perfectly melted cheese, all made with the kind of love and care you can taste in every bite.

10/07/2025: Horrible service. I usually don't care much about the service, but this was a joke. We tried to order drinks about 5 times, tried waving, tried "calling", feels like they intentionally avoided eye-contact/us because they felt uncomfortable with speaking English. We stayed for over an hour, during which we managed to order food and an initial drink. Then when we asked for the check (which also was near impossible because of the avoidance), we then waited for 15min (and slurped on our water), they never came. We eventually stood up and walked up to them and paid. Food wise: my pizza was nice, my girlfriend's pizza was okay.

11/06/2025: Super friendly and attentive service, a fantastic package deal from drinks to appetizers and starters to main courses, dessert, and a delicious espresso if desired! The total price for everything is unbeatable 👍👍👍 Keep up the good work, we'll be back!
