05/04/2026: Returned yesterday with some friends. It's always a pleasure to come and eat here. The menu is extensive, just enough to please everyone. The portions are generous and good quality. The service is efficient without being overwhelming. The bill... definitely excellent value. We'll return when possible. Reservations recommended.

16/04/2026: A small, charming restaurant somewhat off the beaten tourist track in Florence. The service was very friendly, the staff spoke English, and they reserved a lovely window seat for us. The food arrived quickly and all at once. For starters, we had Tuscan ham with melon and fresh spinach with aged Parmesan. For our main course, we had the filet steak with Chianth sauce and pasta vongele. Everything was excellent. The prices were very reasonable for the quality and taste of the food. Highly recommended...
13/04/2026: The ravioli was not good at all, the potato side dish was smelling of oil and the grilled veggies didn’t seem grilled.
The tuscan soup was outstanding and really well made. Enjoyed this one dish only

12/04/2026: I found myself alone in Piombino for work and, intrigued by the reviews, I decided to dine at Taverna dei Boncompagni.
The quality of the food (from appetizer to dessert) and the service were superb.
The skate and the dry-aged snapper took me back to Japan, the risotto delicious, the yuzu dessert a refreshing finish to cleanse the palate.
Simone was a unique host, demonstrating great hospitality and an in-depth knowledge of the ingredients and wines.
The #1 restaurant in the area, I recommend everyone to try it!

09/04/2026: The place is a bit small for the potential of the business, the food and service are excellent, the portions are so "you won't wake up hungry", the price is fair, it's run more like a home than a business, it's really good. If we want to find a flaw, but to be picky, the smell from the kitchen goes a bit into the dining room, but without making it a drama.

The staff is incredibly friendly, especially the chef, and the atmosphere is super welcoming. It definitely feels like returning to a little piece of my beautiful Cuba. 🫶🏽🇨🇺

The dishes will satisfy even the most discerning vegan, and the menu offers a wide selection. From classic Maremma tortelli to beetroot tortelli with creamed turnip greens, which I thoroughly enjoyed, to refined and delicious main courses, and finally, a variety of desserts to enjoy. For non-vegans, I recommend trying it for yourself; you'll have an experience you'll want to repeat. The place is very charming and welcoming, and the staff is professional, kind, and attentive, ready to accommodate your every request.

12/01/2026: We've been there several times during our Tuscan holidays and have always enjoyed excellent Tuscan specialties. The combination of delicatessen and restaurant creates a unique atmosphere. The service and friendliness are very pleasant. Reservations are recommended as it's very popular. In the summer, you can also sit outside. The fact that so many Italians dine here speaks volumes about the quality. We feel comfortable there and will definitely return, especially since the price-performance ratio is excellent.

28/02/2026: A croissant for €1.30, a mille-feuille for €2, and a small chocolate cake for €1 = frankly, that's a very reasonable price for the quality you get elsewhere. Quite a few people there in the morning, having a coffee or buying something. I'm not disappointed.
20/02/2026: A charming café away from the hustle and bustle. Delicious cakes and pastries, excellent coffee. Fair prices. Definitely worth a visit!
