I found myself alone in Piombino for work and, intrigued by the reviews, I decided to dine at Taverna dei Boncompagni. The quality of the food (from appetizer to dessert) and the service were superb. The skate and the dry-aged snapper took me back to Japan, the risotto delicious, the yuzu dessert a refreshing finish to cleanse the palate. Simone was a unique host, demonstrating great hospitality and an in-depth knowledge of the ingredients and wines. The #1 restaurant in the area, I recommend everyone to try it!

I visited Taverna Dei Boncompagni and had a truly exceptional experience. The atmosphere is welcoming, with attention to detail, and immediately makes you feel at ease, perfect for both a quiet dinner and a special evening. The food is simply top-notch: dishes prepared with fresh, quality ingredients, with authentic flavors that showcase tradition but with a touch of personality. Each course is beautifully presented and meticulously crafted. The service is impeccable: the staff is friendly, attentive, and always available, without ever being intrusive. You can sense their passion for what they do. The quality-price ratio is also excellent, absolutely fair for what they offer. Highly recommended, I'll definitely be back!

This charming restaurant is beautifully situated in the narrow streets of the old town, overlooking the ancient bell tower, and impresses from the very first moment. The owner deserves special mention: exceptionally friendly, warm, and highly competent. His passion for gastronomy is evident in every detail – from the personal greeting to the carefully curated wine list, selected with great expertise. The cuisine delights with creative, unusual dishes that are perfectly balanced, delicious, and beautifully presented. Antipasti, first courses, and desserts are consistently exquisite, and the fish is of excellent quality. Thoughtful touches from the house, such as a digestif or a delightful amuse-bouche, make the visit particularly enjoyable. The restaurant is stylishly and comfortably furnished, with a relaxed and inviting atmosphere. The value for money is very fair. Ideal for lunch or dinner for two or with friends. A true discovery that you'll want to return to. Highly recommended!
