Somewhat secluded in a small village and more akin to an ice cream parlor, this osteria, one of our new insider tips, lies right in the heart of the village. BUT…what Maurizio and his team conjure up on the plates is far more than we expected. And all at very fair prices. Friendly, attentive service and a decent wine list complete the experience. The Bistecca Fiorentina and the filet steak with fresh truffles are simply delightful. An absolute top recommendation for gourmets with an affinity for wine.

Tuscan cuisine, including pizza. On my first night, I ordered a 1.3 kg steak with porcini mushrooms. The porcini mushrooms were perfectly cooked, and if I had to find a flaw, it might be too much salt, but that's subjective; I know it needs to be sprinkled well during cooking. The next night, I ordered pizza. It wasn't one of my favorites because it was very shallow and crispy on the sides, with almost no crust, but it was still good. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and if you're passing through, it's worth stopping by!

We got a takeaway of 18 pizzas and a bowl of pasta. They were delicious and the staff so helpful. We struggle to speak Italian and yet they still were immaculate with their service. We ended up arriving to pick up the pizzas and had our favourite pint of beer of the whole trip, sat there ordering tiramisu for the rest of the group. Was delicious and would recommend.
