06/04/2025: Simpelthen en magisk oplevelse. Placeret højt i bakkerne ved Greve in Chianti. Lækker original mad og fantastisk betjening. Udsigten fra terrassen gør (næsten) at man glemmer at spise. Man mærker stoltheden over deres mad og restaurant. Dejlig vin på flaske eller glas.

19/03/2025: I went to Fagiolino last week and had a very pleasant evening. The food was excellent from starters to desserts. The location is very beautiful and well-kept. The owners and staff are very knowledgeable, helpful and welcoming. It was truly a surprise to be back after so many years and to be even more positively impressed! Compliments!

23/03/2025: Not knowing the place at first I was hesitant, but considering the star we decided to give it a chance. Well, what can I say… Excellent experience. We opted for two long courses and each dish was masterfully made, managing to express the best of each ingredient. It was a beautiful experience that I recommend to everyone.

28/02/2025: My husband loved the ambiance. It just wasn't for me. I'm in Italy surrounded by history and art, and this place was all about the modern. I get that the food has to take center stage, as the art we went to experience. But it just wasn't for me! The food was delicious. We opted for the medium journey with the drink pairings. Our favorite drink was the house fermented beet juice.

02/04/2025: For those who love the genre, the maximum, variety of delights, from classic lampredotto sandwiches, to a variety of lampredotto and tripe dips, to crostini based on poppa. The owner tells me that from the cooler season they also deal with offal. Tiny and lovely place, complicated, but not impossible parking. He has hired a collaborator and is also open in the evening. The environment is tiny, but "typical". I add that he often prepares variations on the genre: yesterday I had lampredotto made a peposo, last week, trippate guts, then agnolotti with lampredotto. A delirium.

14/04/2025: Attention to the customer and quality of the food! We discovered this little place just outside the center and therefore with the possibility of reaching it comfortably by car, because it is close to the Aerospace Engineering hub, for a family dinner. The place is cozy, also equipped with an external veranda. We were welcomed cordially and we appreciated, in addition to the helpfulness of the staff, also the excellent quality of the dishes we tasted. Compliments to the chef! The quality/price ratio is also excellent. We will definitely be back.

The two first courses were to our liking: large and delicious portions. Excellent service and elegant and pleasant environment.

02/03/2025: Excellent. Wonderful service, the restaurant was already closing, and we arrived in a group of 8 people, and they quickly accommodated us and served us with all the friendliness. The food is really wonderful, from the starter breads (made in-house) to the pastas.

24/03/2025: We first discovered La Solita Zuppa in June 2019, during a stay at the nearby Poggio Piglia. Our initial visit was for lunch — and it was so wonderful that we ended up returning for dinner every evening of that stay except for one. Andrea, the owner, was warm and knowledgeable, entertaining us with stories about the evolution of Tuscan cuisine and offering thoughtful recommendations from the menu and anecdotes about the ingredients. The restaurant itself is charmingly decorated, with a beautiful vaulted brick ceiling and little green gingham details. Andrea's wife is the chef, and every dish — from the simple yet perfectly executed tomato and garlic pici, to the elegant gnudi with sage and the richly flavoured ginger ravioli — was cooked to absolute perfection. We discovered the influence of Italy's ancient connection with the Silk Road still alive today in many of the dishes. All through the pandemic and unable to travel, we promised ourselves we’d return one day. And in August 2024, we finally repeated the same trip, again staying at Poggio Piglia and once again dining at La Solita Zuppa each night. While there had been some small changes since covid, including the addition of a cute little terrace, we were delighted to find Andrea and his wife still running the restaurant, and many of the dishes we had dreamt about (and even tried to recreate at home) still on the menu. The entire experience was just as amazing as we had remembered, if not even better. The restaurant was definitely busier than it had been during our last trip, which was wonderful to see, and our only single disappointment was that Andrea was far too busy with all of our fellow diners to spend very much time at our table. On our last evening he recommended us the wine 'Vigna Flavia' from a small vineyard in Chiusi, which was so wonderful that we now regularly order cases of it to enjoy at home in Switzerland. Our favourites on the menu (I think we managed to try everything!) were the gnudi with sage (sometimes served with truffle), the ginger ravioli with poppy seeds, the garlic pici, the maiale with rosemary and honey, and the sformato which we also had once served with black truffle. We are real foodies and have eaten in all kinds of restaurants all over the world, from three star Michelin establishments to street food stands, always searching for places that blow us away. There is something very special about La Solita Zuppa and the honesty of the place, the inventiveness of the menu and yet its embrace of tradition. Italian food at its BEST. We hope to return again!

13/02/2025: We had an excellent night at this establishment. The welcome was perfect, our host very attentive and concerned about our well-being. The evening meal at the restaurant was delicious, with expert culinary advice from our server. The morning breakfast was complete and varied, with everything you needed to start the day off right. Antonio once again took great care of us. A big thank you for their warm welcome! I highly recommend.
