The menu features refined cuisine bordering on excellence. Quality and refined pairings delight the palate. The hospitality is top-notch, with courtesy and constant attention to the customer, a truly welcome yet never intrusive presence. Every time I'm back in Lucca for work, this will be a must-visit. My heartfelt compliments to the owner, who is also a delightful person and knows how to pamper his customers.

If you have the chance, order the seafood pasta because the one we ate here was truly phenomenal.

We arrived in Lucca with no dinner plans and we ended up here pretty much by chance. What a pleasant surprise! It turned out to be an excellent restaurant; great food and friendly service. The dinning room is tucked in the back. It felt very much like a local family place versus a heavily toursity place perhaps because it is right outside the old city walls. Food was delicous and reasonably priced.

Easily the best dinner experience we’ve had in Lucca! During our stay in Lucca we’ve had multiple phenomenal evenings at Trattoria Gosto e Mea. The people are very friendly and the food is just perfect. We had such a good time that we came back a second time and it was even better. To start we shared Cecina fritta and prosciutto, both very nice. For our main course we had la bistecca della “az. agr. La Regina”. An excellent steak sourced from a local Tuscan farm. We let the owner choose a wine to complement each course, which turned out beautifully. The staff were accommodating all night and their English was great even though the place feels like a spot for locals (which is exactly what we were looking for). The owner’s hospitality went above and beyond, right down to a thoughtful parting gift as we left. Its the kind of gesture that makes an evening memorable. If you’re visiting Lucca and want a wonderful evening, book a table here. You won’t be disappointed!

The best example of Italian cuisine in Lucca. They offer not only pizza and pasta, but also regional specialties. Their wines are excellent. Prices are reasonable.

A truly excellent fish dinner! The timing was right, and the location was well-maintained. The dessert was interesting.
