07/06/2026: 10 stars for everything. The pizza is delicious. Three days of slow fermentation. You can eat as much as you want and you'll be satisfied. The crust is super crispy and crunchy, even in the center. (It has a raised edge.) The toppings are just right. The place is very unique. And best of all is the service from the two waitresses. Endless smiles and genuine kindness. It was a pleasure to dine there.

09/05/2026: Truly delicious food and a refined atmosphere. If I had to give advice to the owners of this place, I'd suggest they do some soundproofing, because the place is a bit too noisy and you end up hearing what's happening at other tables without wanting to.

23/04/2026: Always number one. Since they opened, now almost 12 years ago, I've always enjoyed going there, and aside from a slight downturn during one period, I've never been disappointed. They're good, kind, and always honest. I've received discounts on the final price several times. An honest way of doing business that people rightly appreciate, and the results are evident; the dining room is often full, so it's best to book a few days in advance. Well done! 03/05/2026: An excellent dining experience at this historic restaurant in Caprese Michelangelo, family-run for decades and offering a very good value. Start with a house platter, accompanied by warm, freshly fried focaccia, a delicious truffle salad, warm soufflés, and fried porcini mushrooms. The first courses are homemade and fully reflect the flavors of the region. Second courses include grilled pork, veal, and lamb, or, for those who prefer, a plate of local cheeses. You can finish on a sweet note with creamy custards, biscotti, or homemade tartlets. Oh... the house wine from nearby Umbria is highly recommended. Much credit to Alfredo, his partner, and their entire staff!

30/04/2026: We went to Cerro for lunch, and had a mixed antipasto and two first courses. The dishes were truly delicious. The hint of porcini mushrooms in the dishes was wonderful! The setting is very beautiful and well-kept.

08/06/2026: Why choose Sottomarino? There's no single answer. You have to start from the beginning: the welcome. The owners and staff know how to make you feel at ease, they listen and accommodate your requests, and they all have a smile and impeccable demeanor. The location: fantastic: you're faced with an incredible view, everything is taken care of down to the smallest detail (including the small vase of fresh flowers and, in the evening, the designer lamp), the furnishings, the background music... Everything is designed to make you feel immersed in beauty. Finally (but I should have mentioned this right away), the cuisine is top-notch. I can't single out one dish in particular: everything is a true explosion of flavor! We choose a different dish each time, and we've never been disappointed. In short, if you're passing through Follonica, I highly recommend enjoying an unforgettable experience at Sottomarino.

21/05/2026: The restaurant looked very promising on Google — lots of photos of grilled meat and it clearly seemed like the owner cared about the place. Google also showed it as open. Because of that, I walked an extra 4 km to get there. Unfortunately, when I arrived, the restaurant was completely closed. I ended up continuing on hungry and honestly quite frustrated. Please update the opening hours to avoid wasting other people’s time.

02/12/2025: We've eaten there several times, whenever our itinerary allowed, because the pasta is delicious—a special mention goes to the stuffed ravioli and the arrabbiata sauce. The desserts are a delight, and the service is perfect. Always with a smile. Quality/price ratio: 10/10

The wild boar pigeon is highly recommended; I've never tasted so good, it's worth the trip. The atmosphere is fantastic, down to the smallest details, from the table settings to the beautiful soft lighting and the impressive wine cellar. Highly recommended.
