29/05/2025: Our family was treated so well at B.O.r.G.O. The owner was very helpful with multiple food allergies, and everything came out great. We especially loved the anchovies, hummus sampler, and pork. Mille grazie!

26/05/2025: Very nice everything! We felt welcomed and pampered even if with due discretion. All the dishes were very good, not banal and with something to tell. Wine list not exaggerated but with a nice attention to the territory, a nice selection of Chianti Classico, with some gems.

20/06/2025: There are no words to describe this experience. As a lover of Japan, I was intrigued by the entrance, not being from Florence I was unaware of this little gem. I have been to Japan several times. Well, I won't go on. This is the true Japanese tradition, aromas and flavors truly worthy of one of the oldest culinary traditions. Everything was done to perfection. The quality of each product is incredible and above all the attention to every little detail. To crown this splendid discovery, a very prepared and efficient room manager, and a culinary mastery that will leave you stunned, all accompanied by the notes of the maestro Joe Hisaishi. I will return whenever possible. Everything was so perfect that I forgot to photograph everything, I was truly speechless.

03/06/2025: After craving something non-Italian, we were thrilled to find this dog-friendly Japanese restaurant right next to our hotel. The floor manager, Tarou, was warm and hospitable. We tried a variety of dishes—an appetizer of four seasonal vegetables, Bara Chirashi, toro sashimi, and chicken karaage—but the fatty salmon sashimi and miso soup were the real standouts. Highly recommended!

16/06/2025: Incredibile cena con mia moglie nel cortile interno di questo affascinante ristorante. I piatti uno dietro l'altro raccontano una storia fatta di tradizione e innovazione nel rispetto sincero dei sapori toscani. Ogni portata è stata in grado di rapirci con una ricerca di gusto decisamente superiore al classico ristorante. l'apice l'ha toccato il piccione con una cottura impeccabile paragonabile a quella di alcuni stellati. Ottimo anche il calice di vino in accompagnamento. Prezzi giusti per la qualità offerta e staff gentile. Consigliatissimo.

04/06/2025: An absolutely amazing dining experience. The service was impeccable, and the food was exceptional and creative. The stemware was one of the highlights of the evening and the architecture is brilliant. We also enjoyed a wonderful tour of the wine cellar.

The one catch: all guests at the table must choose the same appetizer, first, and second course—only the dessert can be selected individually. The dishes are rooted in tradition but feature creative, modern twists. Cocktails lean classic, the service was warm and attentive, and the wine pairings were perfectly on point. One small suggestion: the first course (can’t recall the name) was overwhelmed by tarragon leaves—they gave it an odd, almost soup-like flavor. We ended up pushing them aside.

28/06/2025: Just wandered by, outside of the tourist area, just perfect in every way. Friendly attentive service. Food was great. We were typical american tourists, showing up early, not wanting a lot of food (after two weeks here and our clothes shrinking). They split our appetizer, so good. We had a pasta dish and a salad. One of the better meals we had in Florence, at half the cost of the fancy places along the river. Our meal cost includes wine.

12/06/2025: Una persona locale ci ha consigliato “La Gratella” ed è stata una piacevole scoperta. La mia più grande paura quando vado nelle grandi città è di incappare in una trappola per tutisti. Taglierone di antipasto e 1,3 kg di fiorentina cotta alla perfezione. Tutto molto buono, carne ottima e servizio eccellente. Il proprietario e i camerieri sono molto gentili, professionali e cordiali. Promosso a pieni voti!

20/06/2025: Such good lasagna at such a price? Unbeatable, in my opinion. A large portion that even a big eater can eat, plus a Coke for a total of €8? In a location like this, near one of Florence's most famous sights? It can hardly be more affordable. Especially with such friendly service!

16/06/2025: Met in February, I was struck by the pleasant atmosphere that you breathe. The dishes recall authentic flavors, they are rich in flavor, quality and quantity. The restaurant is family-run and all the staff makes you feel immediately welcomed and at ease. I have been there for business lunches and dinners and with friends. I also recommend it for couples.
