Osteria di Passignano In Tavarnelle val di pesa

We go once a year to this magnificent place in the heart of Chianti for my partner's birthday and, for us, it has become a special place... The staff is very well trained and the service is attentive and discreet. Each dish is a unique experience starting from the appetizers with which we were welcomed; the vegetables come from their land and, for the wines, we relied on their excellent sommelier. I wanted a rosé and was recommended Antinori's Furia, which accompanied cooked and raw carrots, caviar and roe deer. We also chose a selection of cheeses and, to finish, I tasted the dessert with three proposals based on lemon creme brûlée and citrus fruits. Exquisite food and wines; the dining room staff is the added value.

Saying "starry" is not necessarily a guarantee of eating well, but at Osteria di Passignano this is the case. I was there last time more than 10 years ago and since then everything has changed and changed for the better, even in starred restaurants it is rare for all the dishes to be absolutely spot on. In addition to this, the place is very nice and the staff very kind, really recommended.

Siamo stati in questo ristorante stellato per il primo anniversario di matrimonio. Ho scelto dal menu alla carta gnocchi con guancia e cipollotto, bistecca alla fiorentina e riso al latte. Durante i pasti vengono offerti vari assaggi come l’entrée di benvenuto e il post dolce. Impossibile non accompagnare il tutto con un buon Tignanello. Il prezzo è da ristorante stellato e dipende molto dal vino scelto. Vale la pena provarlo almeno una volta.

Excellent Michelin 1 star restaurant in the country side near Sienna. Owned by the Antinori Wine family. The restaurant can also conduct a wine tour and explain Italian wines. The monestry building next to the restaurant serves as a wine cellar for Antinori, very very old castle. The upper part still houses some monks. Food and wine at this place is excellent, so do the service. Highly recommended for wine fans......

We are at the highest culinary levels, hence the star. BUT: the type of cuisine, steak aside, has changed since Covid, veering towards haute cuisine and experimentation. The previous menu, absolutely of a traditional and substantial level, has been abandoned. Sin. Prices have risen accordingly but considering the place it's okay

We had a wonderful dinner here. The food, service and atmosphere were on point. For a one star Michelin, it was very unpretentious and focused on the food and wine.

Impeccable place. Also did a wine tour and everything from our guide (sommelier) to the wine was top! Won’t be disappointed.

Diese Osteria besitzt einen sehr schönen Innenraum, der zum Verweilen einlädt. Im Sommer ist der Garten sicher auch sehr schön. Das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen ist sicher nicht ganz günstig, aber das Degustationsmenu hat ein sehr gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Neben dem Essen besticht sicher die sehr grosse Weinkarte. Aus meiner Sicht dürften noch etwas mehr Chianti-Weine auch der Karte sein. Für uns war es ein wunderschöner Abend. Wir kommen sicher gerne wieder.
