First impression: wine is the absolute star of this restaurant. A wide selection of glasses, wine pairings, and a menu are available; it's worth the trip. Service is friendly and unobtrusive. Food: I expect excellence in the dishes from a Michelin-starred restaurant, and I didn't find it in all of them (specifically, the appetizer wasn't balanced in flavor). Finally, a little more attention to the customer: given the superior tasting menu and wine pairing, I would have expected water and/or coffee to be offered.

Had dinner here outside after I proposed! It was a wonderful experience and deserving of Michelin star. In regards to service, it matched up to what you would expect from a Michelin star restaurant. The sommelier was very friendly and informative and even gave us a little sample of a wonderful cab franc supertuscan. The waiter was also wonderful and generous. We had the wine tasting with the Solaia and Tignanello and it was amazing. In regards to food, we had the roasted lamb (good), the amberjack (great) and my favorite was the beef tartare. The chives, onions and the side of pickled onions made a perfect pairing reminiscent of sweet chopped bluefin tuna that I had in Tokyo but with the meaty richness of beef. The atmosphere was beautiful as well with a backdrop of the vineyard hill where Antinori grows their grapes. Would love to come back here next time I am in Tuscany.

The food is top-notch: every dish is meticulously crafted, with excellent ingredients, balanced flavors, and impeccable presentation. A gastronomic journey that surprises from start to finish. What truly makes this place special is the team that works there. The staff are spectacular in every way: professional, knowledgeable, attentive, smiling, and capable of making every guest feel welcomed and pampered. Their passion, kindness, and helpfulness transform a lunch or dinner into a memorable experience. Kudos to the entire staff for the excellence they convey not only through their cuisine, but also through the humanity and care with which they take care of their guests. For me, of course, there were gluten-free options...there's no dessert option, but they were saved by the last straw because they had my favorite sorbets: mango and passion fruit. A place we'll have the pleasure of returning to. Highly recommended.

Like other reviewers here, I believe a second star is well-deserved. The experience I had far surpassed that of other one-star restaurants I've tried. The setting is magical, timeless, the service friendly without ever being intrusive, and the cuisine is simply divine. It's traditional yet creative, without resorting to excessive innovation that sometimes loses its meaning and flavor. Exceptional, thank you again.

More than a dinner...a true experience. I went with my wife. The tasting menu was a gift from friends. I can assure you, however, that despite the decidedly high price per person, it's worth it. With or without a voucher, it's a place worth visiting. The dishes are all highly refined and presented with meticulous attention to detail. The portions are just right, allowing you to enjoy everything without feeling heavy or, conversely, disappointed with the feeling of having eaten nothing. The wines, I'd almost say, are excellent. Compliments to the chef and his staff.

03/07/2026: IO Osteria Personale delivered one of the best meals of our Italy trip — inventive, precise cooking with genuine personality. A roasted watermelon amuse-bouche opened things on a delightfully unexpected note. We started with the steak tartare (roasted corn cream, chimichurri, fried capers) and the roasted Roman salad, both excellent, then moved to the smoked-butter risotto and the garlic-and-chili spaghetti with raw pink shrimp — both beautifully executed. The roasted octopus and the pigeon were the standouts to finish, and our two young daughters were completely won over by the pigeon, which says something about how approachable the kitchen makes even ambitious dishes. The salted popcorn ice cream (toffee, smoked tea crumble, dark chocolate ganache) closed the night on a high — the girls raved about it. We paired the meal with a Tenuta di Montefoscoli "Vacevoli," a coastal Tuscan white that matched perfectly. Warm, attentive service and an intimate room made it feel special from start to finish. If you want something beyond the tourist-trail trattorias in Florence, come here. Highly recommended.
20/06/2026: For our last night in Florence, my wife suggested Osteria Personale and we could not be happier. The meal was the best we had in the city and perhaps the best of our entire trip. The staff could not have been warmer or more welcoming! The food was so interesting and beyond amazing. I ordered the fish with a creamy anchovie sauce and my wife ordered the ravioli which was the best she ever ate. Our two daughters raved about their meals. The chocolate and strawberry dessert was also amazing. Try this place... you'll be glad you did. We can't recommend it any more enthusiastically!!!
