30/05/2025: The hosts are the excellent, especially the one from Gambia. It is a wine bar and he knows all the wines from all the regions of Italy. Also he has a great smile and speaks English perfectly. The bar is in a chic neighborhood and fills up on the sidewalk with chic Palermo citizens.

08/08/2025: A typical lunch spot, nothing more. There's effort and it shows, but the food leaves a bit to be desired, with dishes complicated by the omnipresent cream. Some dishes are unavailable, and it would have been appropriate to point this out when providing the menu.

06/08/2025: We stumbled upon this café by chance. It's lovely. The coffee the gentleman made us was exceptional. We had ice cream. The ice cream was exceptional. We were blown away. We stumbled upon this café by chance and were absolutely delighted! The place is lovely, and the gentleman who served us was incredibly kind. The coffee he made was exceptional – full of flavor and perfectly balanced. We also tried the little ice cream treats, and they were simply amazing. We loved everything! We'll definitely be coming back.

01/10/2025: Excellent place to have lunch and/or sample fresh dishes and local specialties. Excellent express pasta of the day and excellent appetizers.. Friendly staff and fairly complete cuisine.. It doesn't excel in speed of service but it is rewarded by the environment which offers large screens where you can watch video music and/or programmes.. Still reasonable prices in line for those who want to have lunch/eat at a reasonable price.. I recommend it..

05/10/2025: I went to La Corte dei Mangioni last night. There were 19 of us, including the kids. A very negative note: we had a reservation for 9:30 PM, and after finally getting seated and ordering, the food was served at 11:25 PM...it was appalling, especially for the kids who couldn't take it anymore. Plus, they didn't serve all the dishes at once. The pizza was good. As for the sandwiches, we had higher expectations, but instead, we were disappointed. The same goes for the seasoned potatoes. Add to that the fact that, after waiting two hours, some sandwiches arrived burnt and others raw inside...well, it wasn't the best!!! They offered to remake them, but that would have meant waiting I don't know how long, and honestly, NO!!!! To all this, I must unfortunately add the lack (very little) of courtesy from the girl who served us; she even seemed annoyed and very rude... I'd say politeness comes first! Then, if you understand that people wait two hours for food, at least try to be a little polite and courteous. We definitely won't be returning!!!

01/10/2025: Inedible Angus steak, served on a hot cutting board that splattered oil all over, mediocre tiramisu... mediocre service. I don't understand how they hold up the 4.5 stars... avoid.

14/10/2025: Porta TERRIBLE. The setting is lovely and the service okay. The staff were polite. All the makings of a decent restaurant here. But the food is beyond abysmal. AVOID. I struggle to describe what an insult to Italian cuisine this place is, even to an ignorant British tourist like myself. Stale supermarket bread, frozen reconstituted mashed potatoes advertised as roasted, a ‘mixed salad’ consisting of enormous chunks of iceberg lettuce and tinned sweetcorn; and, to add insult to injury, a primo of tortellini that was no better (and possibly worse) than a £2 bag of fresh ravioli from Tesco. This was quite simply the worst Italian meal I have ever had—your local British cafe will do better. I wish I could be more positive.

13/10/2025: Dinner at Porta Terra Restaurant in the heart of Cefalù. An elegant and refined venue, with truly excellent service: friendly, professional, and very attentive staff. The Sicilian appetizer, though a bit small in quantity, was nevertheless good and beautifully presented. The other courses were also tasty and well-prepared, with quality ingredients. The only downside was the slightly high bill for the portions. Overall, however, the experience was positive, thanks to the pleasant atmosphere and excellent service.

20/07/2025: Cornetto is the best! The coffee is so delicious that I had two cups and waited for the Hertz rental car to open. I had such a great cafeteria experience!

03/07/2025: Perfect place for breakfast. Delicious croissants, especially the ricotta and pistachio ones.

04/10/2025: Unfortunately, it was a negative experience. We purchased a baked pastry (pasta di foglia) from this bakery, and it turned out to be rock-hard, practically inedible. It's a shame, because we were expecting a fresh, crumbly product. Not recommended, at least for this type of preparation.

04/10/2025: Whatever you eat, it's delicious and cheap. It's hard to find a restaurant like this. If you go when it opens, you don't need a reservation. The inside is quite spacious.

21/10/2025: It was a good stay overall. .friendly staff, nice room with a balcony and a sea view. The only problem was the food on the dinner and lunch menu was terrible. None of the seafood was fresh the shrimps and sea baa were mealy. I had to eat there a few times after I caught a bad cold , there’s nothing on the menu worth ordering twice.

20/10/2025: It's my favorite hotel when I go to Palermo. Modern and efficient. Walking along the seafront and stopping for a brioche and gelato makes the stay even more enjoyable. 🤗
