The manager must learn how to manage his frustration rather than objecting to customers. Luckily we are very tolerant and don't like to get into arguments. But if the customer says he has been waiting for 1 hour rather than dispute it, you can respond kindly, especially if it is a woman doing it. I only observed that in fact we had been waiting for 1 hour and 10 minutes. Rather than argue with the manager I prefer not to return. Too bad because I've known the place since I was a boy. I give 3 stars because the waiter was friendly unlike the manager.

Good. Historic venue, renovated, renovated and reopened in 2019. Typical Palermo pub dishes and drinks. Good quality of food. Staff friendly and helpful with customers. It is often difficult to find parking for the car in the immediate vicinity; but, 100 meters away (on the corner with Viale Strasburgo) there is a small car park with blue lines, free after 8pm. The street on which the restaurant is located is a bit noisy (there are outdoor tables when the weather is good). We gladly returned.

The sandwich was good but it was quite simple: roast beef, oil, salt and lemon. They could have put more lemon. However, the price of the sandwich seems high to me, around 7 euros + chips (abundant) + 33 becks + served at the table = around 16.

All very good! The food was delicious, especially the choice of cured meats for the sandwich, not at all dry or tempting to drink. We also had dessert, but it was too good and I didn't have time to take the photo. Wonderful service and always attentive to the customer

Excellent pinsa (perfectly cooked, excellent dough, seasoning as well, although I would have preferred fried and not roasted aubergines 😇), large and seasoned sandwiches (satiating for those who took them) and the rolls were much appreciated. The chicken salad was beautiful looking and plentiful. Average prices, and still lower than other places. The only flaw is the hot appetizer. Too salty really and the panelle are so-so, while the croquettes need to be made again (I recommend also making arancinette ONLY with butter or bechamel, because they all had meat or ham). Advised.

I went to this place when I was 17/18 years old and I remembered a very good sandwich, I think it was called the Franciscan... rustic atmosphere... we went back a few weeks ago... and after almost 25 years... I found an atmosphere much nicer, friendly staff... and the sandwich..?!?. It confirmed my expectations. Thanks 😍

Questo posto è caloroso, molto pulito, il personale è gentile e premuroso, il cibo è buono e di qualità, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo. Consiglio il tagliere di carni per 2. Ho visto un buon assortimento di vini, ma non si indicare la qualità, perché non bevo. Già stato due volte e ho intenzione di ritornarci per assaggiare le altre specialità.

25/08/2024: I read with deep amazement some negative reviews. I had dinner last night and I think there are very few places with such attention to detail. Sublime quality both in terms of fresh fish and meat, excellent pizza, excellent service, not to mention the ownership that makes the difference. I would like to underline that the prices are below average as I had a terrible experience in another place paying 40.00 for a white and black. I say with extreme frankness that When I want quality and above all hospitality I believe Torre Alta is it the best choice.

04/08/2024: Ieri, sabato 3 agosto io e il mio fidanzato ci siamo recati al San Lorenzo mercato cercando qualcosa di buono da mangiare e ci siamo imbattuti i Baarìa, un ristorantino molto carino e accogliente, inutile parlare della bellezza del locale che è soggettiva, mi soffermerei invece sulla qualità e la bontà dei piatti nonché delle materie prime. Patate fritte artigianali con la buccia STREPITOSE, un piatto davvero abbondante finito nonostante tutto perché davvero squisito, le pizze erano ciò che io personalmente intendo come una pizza a regola d’arte, impasto leggero, bordo morbidissimo e alto, umida ma che non si scomponeva neanche tagliandola, pomodoro con un altissimo retrogusto di basilico, insomma.. LA PIZZA, personale super simpatico e alla mano, ci siamo sentiti davvero bene e cosa super importante le materie prime sono state davvero di qualità tanto che non abbiamo avuto nessun problema anche durante la notte. Torneremo sicuramente ma stavolta lo faremo provare sicuramente ai nostri amici! Concludo condividendo quanto abbiamo speso per: 1 antipasto di patate fritte artigianali, 2 pizze, 2 bibite, acqua e coperto, 36€ che nel contesto di un “mercato” con musica dal vivo, e viste le materie prime direi che ci sta alla grande!
