24/12/2025: The pig intestines were rotten. The staff took them to the kitchen to ask, and when they came back, they said that's how it's supposed to taste. Fine, we'll leave them on the table for you to eat! They were so rotten it was inedible. And the beef in the sour soup with fatty beef was probably lamb instead of beef; the whole thing had a strong lamby smell that was impossible to eat, even the enoki mushrooms underneath had a strong smell. After this awful pig intestine incident, I don't even care if the beef in the sour soup with fatty beef is pork or lamb! One bite and I'm terrified!

08/12/2025: We tried the hot pot, not bad, still quite “rough” compared to others you see in other cities, but I understand that here in Palermo it's a new formula, we ordered other things à la carte, the stir-fried ramen is really delicious, I recommend it!

24/10/2025: A lousy welcome from the hotel staff, a soundproof room in a characterless annex, but then, as consolation, a good pizza in the restaurant and extremely friendly staff at breakfast.

16/03/2026: The food itself was good and tasty, a lot of vegetarian and vegan options. Our wine glasses were really dirty, these I would not even give to people I do not like. Therefore 7 Euro per dirty glass of wine just does not combine well.

06/03/2026: Five stars are the number of stars you give to a review, and five are the points I'm extremely happy to address in this review. 1) Location: Small and extremely warm and comfortable. The feeling is that of being in a dining room at home, where you know whatever arrives is safe and satisfying. 2) Service: Salvo. A man truly worth listening to because he truly makes you enjoy it. Excellent manners, elegance, friendliness, and preparation. Chiara... the chef as well as the hostess. As soon as you enter, you're greeted with a sincere smile... and that, for me, truly means everything. The moral... Excellence. 3) Food: Exquisite, well-balanced, and with a menu that truly deserves to be discovered dish after dish. Here, food isn't gorged, but savored. 4) Menu: Prices are more than fair and balanced for what the kitchen offers. Truly unique dishes, and the distinctive feature is their ability to adapt to the customer's needs. The dish names are very original, and some of them hold wonderful surprises (the bedda matri... unexpectedly exquisite and unique). It doesn't matter if you're a carnivore or a vegan... it's all the same! 5) Babbio: Just come in and enjoy an experience that's not just culinary but, above all, humorous. You feel truly at home, and the Babbio inside the place is palpable. Chiara manages to make you smile without trying too hard. 🤣 Salvo... sorry, but I'm biased... (I was struck by that man.) He gave me the feeling of an uncle you can always chat with. 🤣 To close the circle, I'll just say this... Go eat there... the experience you'll have is unique, your stomach will be happy and say thank you, and your brain will tell you... Oh, we have to come back!! 04/01/2026: We went to this restaurant because the people we were with had been there before and had reported a good experience. We had lunch with appetizers, first courses, and a second course. Everything was really good, with generous portions and a good value. The mushrooms were very fresh. The staff was friendly and always smiling. The location, in the historic center of Castelbuono, offers both indoor and outdoor dining with a panoramic view (especially in the summer). Recommended.

16/11/2025: This morning, leaving Capaci on our motorcycle without a destination, we passed through Aspra on the main road. Having not yet had breakfast, we stopped at this bar. We had the meat arancini, and what can I say? Super good! So good, I'll definitely be back!

22/12/2025: Two visits, two total DISASTERS. First time: late evening, craving sandwiches. Response: "WE'RE OUT OF SANDWICHES, only first and second courses." A SANDWICH SHOP without sandwiches? Ridiculous. We went home empty-handed. Second time: MONDAY EVENING (quieter day!). I ask for a table outside for two: "Fine." We sit down, wait over 10 MINUTES for the menus. They finally arrive... and then NO ONE comes back for our orders. Completely ignored, we left hungry. NON-EXISTENT service, staff THAT CARELESS. If it happens on a Monday, imagine any other day. AVOID IT, not recommended for anyone!

30/08/2025: After years of regular patronage and a cuisine that has proven reliable over time, I returned one August evening with my father [in his eighties] and a friend. Leaving aside the unfriendly greeting [which has become almost routine lately] upon our arrival, in 53 minutes of waiting we weren't even bothered with water, bread for the wait, or even a request for an appetizer. Nothing! As soon as the wait staff arrived, nervous and irritated by my comment that other diners had similarly complained about the service, with the same nervousness and in a manner that was, to say the least, rude [this is far from Osteria Urbana], the waiter loudly asked me to leave, walked away himself, and didn't even deign to offer us a reservation! Only Giuseppe tried to remedy the situation once we left the table, but the damage was done, and too much spoils. I won't be returning. One can understand the stress of a crowded dining room, but in any self-respecting establishment, at least water and an appetizer while waiting, especially when the guest is elderly, seems frankly appropriate.
