Un particolare ringraziamento a Ninni ed Antonio per essere stati pronti ed attenti alle esigenze di noi clienti. Come concludere alla grande una serata all'insegna della scoperta di Palermo. 03/05/2025: VERGOGNOSO, abbiamo appena preso due miseri coni piccoli( per essere chiari quelli piccolissimi con la glassa che vanno a peso) con una pallina impercettibile di gelato( discreto) al costo di €1,50 cad. uno. lo trovo estremamente caro e ingiustificato. PS. non allego foto perchè era davvero imbarazzante

23/04/2025: Deceived. They recommended some samples of mixed appetizers and then presented us with a very high bill with absurd prices even for Milanese people. They had also included non-existent dishes and a wine that we hadn't taken in the bill. Seafood pasta that tasted only of parsley. Never again.

26/03/2025: Vabres è un piccolo bar, non lontano dalla Stazione Centrale e, per sua fortuna, lontano dai tradizionali e scontati circuiti turistici palermitani. Questo ha permesso a un bar di famiglia di non snaturarsi, ma, al contrario, di crescere grazie all’arrivo delle nuove generazioni. Si può gustare un ottimo caffè e tutti parlano bene dei suoi dolci. Ma Vabres è, soprattutto, il migliore posto di Palermo per gustare un’ottima arancina. Certamente le tradizionali: con raguncino rosso di carne e piselli (per i palermitani “accarne”), o con prosciutto cotto, mozzarella, burro (ovvero “abburro”), e accanto a queste le arancine con spinaci mozzarella e grana, quelle con salsiccia, con melanzane, con bacon e provola. Il ripieno è omogeneo e di qualità e resta ben distinto dal riso perfettamente cotto. La panatura e la frittura è realizzata a regola d’arte, con una crosta croccante al punto giusto, che non lascia tracce di unto. È molto apprezzabile avere arancine fritte espresse, se richiesto; personale gentile e molto efficiente, ottimo il rapporto qualità-prezzo.

As soon as you enter, the atmosphere envelops you: warm lights, inviting scents and a welcome that makes you feel expected. The staff? Kind, prepared and never intrusive. But it's in the kitchen where the magic happens. Each dish was a little masterpiece. The attention to detail, the balance of flavors, the presentation: everything screamed passion and competence. The menu manages to be creative without ever becoming pretentious. The matching wine was perfect, expertly suggested. And the dessert? A standing ovation ending. A restaurant like this stays with you. It's not just "eating well": it's feeling pampered, understood, amazed. I'll be back. Soon. And I will recommend it to anyone who really loves good food.

05/03/2025: I decided to have dinner at this restaurant because it is located a few steps from my accommodation and I must say that I did well. The food is of the highest quality and elegantly presented, the staff are friendly and very attentive to customer needs, and the price, considering the quality of the food and service, was appropriate. Advised!

10/03/2025: I ate a sugar-free pistachio ice cream! Excellent! Very grateful that there is this option. Super friendly people!

25/02/2025: This shop is closed for two months every year, but when it reopens to the public, the ice cream that is made and sold here is really delicious.

03/03/2025: A piece with bechamel for 3 euros for the carnival... Never again. And they even call it ravazzata... Well... Basically a brioscina with a lick of bechamel. Double the size of Palermo and less than half its size. Seasoning just to say.
