21/05/2025: One of our go-to pizza places in the neighborhood. You can buy pizza by the slice or order a whole one (which needs to be booked in advance). They offer both round and teglia (tray) styles. The toppings are very generous, and this place has been around for years—loved by the locals. I especially love their cacio e pepe flavor—it's a must-try! If you're in the area, definitely give it a try!

30/06/2025: We have been traveling for 10 days and we ate in a llt of Italian restaurants in Rome. This place is tiny, cozy, and the food is the best that we ate for the whole trip. Ask for the Spaghetti alla Bella Dona, and ask for a bottle of wine. Indimenticabile!!!!

07/07/2025: After landing in Leonardo Da Vinci airport, I was looking for something to eat before heading home. So I decided to drive to Sancho and grab some pizza. It was a great choice! The selection of pizzas was a little limited, but everything was really good. Special mention for the pizza stuffed with chicken salad.

17/06/2025: This was easily one of the worst places I've visited in years in terms of food and service. We ordered a bottle of wine off the menu and a few small plates. When our food arrived, it was clear just looking at it that the pastry dough was undercooked. We lifted it up to check and it was so raw underneath that our fork made indents in the dough. The waiter took it back and apologised stating that the owner had been watching tennis while making it. It was clear this made the owner upset. When it came back to us, it was the same piece we had cut into and had clearly just been saturated in olive oil and thrown Into a pan (it was still raw in the middle). We then asked for the item to be taken off the bill as it was clearly still raw and neither of us wanted to eat raw pastry. The owner was visibly upset as he came over, briefly apologised, and handed us the bill with everything we had ordered still on it. Serving raw and inedible food, recognising that it is raw and inedible and then insisting someone pays for it is a wild move. Given that it is a health concern as well as shockingly bad service, I would not recommend this place to anyone. It's a shame too because they do have a nice wine selection.

22/06/2025: I used ChatGPT to get a recommendation on where to go, close to the apartment we rent. Once there we took a chance on a restaurant to have our Sunday dinner. We are very happy that this lead to Antica Traytoria Garibaldi. Super friendly staff, excellent food and a cozy atmosphere. Large portions, which we haven't seen so far if not ha ing pizza of course. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you happen to be in the neighborhood.

09/06/2025: Super versatile. They have proposals from first courses and pizza to second courses of meat and fish. I go there very often because I live nearby and I am always satisfied. I have tried everything: from pizza (Disco volante our favorite) to steak and fried fish and grilled fish. Always excellent taste, I must compliment. Excellent quality price. The staff is always available, expert, friendly and easy-going.

18/06/2025: Even a travel-tired snippy fight with my partner could prevent me from loving this place. Worth making reservations to sit in the relaxed little dining room, which is guarded by the restaurateur like an in-demand club - and for good reason! The zucchini “Parmesan” antipasti was both fresh and rich. The pasta with asparagus and white pork ragu was incredible. The meatballs with red sauce were incredibly tender and had a fascinating herb kick. I wish the mixed spring veg side dish was not so long-cooked, but that may be because I’m from the west coast and we either char or barely cook our asparagus and fava beans. Service was capable and friendly, the wine list just long enough - and very reasonably priced. Genuinely such a “win” of a restaurant. I wouldn’t happily go back!
