Taberna Birra Vino In Roma

The tavern is located a little outside the center, but it's definitely worth the trip. Very authentic – the pasta was especially excellent. You almost feel like you're in Italy, surrounded by locals. A real hidden gem!

We spent a weekend in Rome, and on our first day we ate at this place. We loved it so much that we went back every day of our stay. Excellent food and very good service. Without a doubt, if I return to Rome, it's a must-visit.

Along the Via Prenestina, where the pace quickens, a threshold rises that restores and enchants the heart. There's no need to search for the finest cuisine; here the soul of true Italy beats. ​Father Luigi is wise, observing and governing, guardian of rites and times that were honest, while Daniele, the soul of the Taberna, welcomes every guest with smiles and quick gestures. ​"Wine & Beer" is the cry that the air celebrates, tankards filled for a few brass pennies, while the embers in the back still glow, offering the palate the most sacred ambition. ​Praise be to this corner of humble and pure wisdom, where the bill is light and the plate overflows, we honor the presence of Daniele and Luigi, while joy is reborn in every one of our mouths.

I had lunch at this restaurant and was very surprised to finally find such a welcoming place, unpretentious but with a lot of attention from the owners. It feels like home. Everyone here is part of the big family that Daniele and his dad created. They are wonderful people, and it's easy to feel at ease... it's a shame we live far away, otherwise it would have been really nice to visit more often, even just for a good glass of wine. The food is really good too! We'll be back soon :)

Highly recommended for those seeking local, authentic, and unpretentious experiences (the best!). Simplicity and quality for those who understand tradition. 5/5 with eyes closed and mouth open! Excellent for a quick, rustic meal. Prices among the lowest in the capital.

Best pasta I ate in rome. Very few options on the menu, but it’s worth it! The prices are impossible to beat too! Very good all the way!
