05/10/2025: We found this place randomly after repeatedly getting disappointed by every Tiktok and Reddit recommendations of where to eat in Rome and throughout our Europe trip. It was also during protest day so we weren't sure if they would open. I would definitely recommend showing up when they open (7.30 PM for dinner). There was no sign in front so go by address. We were let in by one of the family members that ran the restaurant. Most of the seats was reserved by locals coming in later. Let me tell you I am writing this review BEYOND MAD. MAD I didn't have the stomach to eat everything on the menu. MAD now I have to justify coming back to Rome just to eat here again. And ABSOLUTELY MAD didn't eat here all three days of our trip instead. Yeah I'd definitely eat here for both lunch and dinner! Yeah I'd cancel a Michelin reservation to eat here instead! If I only had 2 hours in Rome I'd spent 1 hours eating here, 30 minutes digesting, and then another 30 minutes eating here again! I really hope this place, the lovely people that runs it, and the local community that sustains it, continues to care for this beautiful piece of Rome. I selfishly hope this restaurant never have the misfortune of becoming popular on Tiktok or other socials and turn into another soulless tourist trap. I hope it maintains it local charm, excellent food, and sense of community for several generations to come.

15/07/2025: The best food is usually at places that don't brag. We walked by this place 4 or 5 times before we knew it existed. Only two English menus is a sign of authenticity.

30/10/2025: We were looking for a restaurant in Tolfa that opened for lunch, and looking at the reviews, we were inspired. Everything was truly excellent: a very nice location that makes you feel at home, excellent product quality, great kindness. We had an excellent mixed appetizer, two very generous first courses, and dessert... €45... Excellent value for money... Highly recommended.

22/10/2025: Genuine Italian restaurant. No menu, you ask what's available! €25 per person for three courses, wine, coffee and a grappa.

21/09/2025: The place is nice and has potential. I think they took over the place recently. There was a bit of confusion and little staff at the tables. The food and beer were good. The bathroom could use some updating... 4 stars on trust. I'll be back, hoping for better luck.

12/08/2025: I tried the aperinippon: a really nice idea, everything was delicious. The atmosphere was youthful and comfortable. I recommend it!

02/11/2025: I've been to this restaurant on two different occasions, and each time has been a pleasant confirmation. The atmosphere is welcoming, with the option of indoor or outdoor seating, perfect for any season. The house specialties are definitely worth trying, especially the beer, which is truly excellent. A children's menu is also available, convenient for families. The staff has always been kind, attentive, and helpful, helping make the experience even more enjoyable.

19/10/2025: Food was ok but nothing special. We both had the tasting menus. One chefs menu and one vegetarian menu. The best dish was the shrimp cocktail while the worst dish was the beet pasta. It was totally flavorless. The couple sitting next to us felt the same. The service was very rushed. We came hungry and left hungry. We stopped to get a slice of pizza each on the way home after spending close to €200.

18/10/2025: Everything was perfect, the food was exquisite, and the service showed an attention to detail that is rare to find in other places!

08/12/2025: Haphazard service. The grilled fish was way over-charred. Clams were suspect. Tables are on top of each other.

07/12/2025: Two of us, starving, took refuge after 9:30 PM in this simple but never boring trattoria. Greeted by the owner's friendliness and unpretentious simplicity, we ordered two first courses, and what can I say... portions were almost too generous, no, it's never too much, but they justified the price, which wasn't high but was definitely below average for Rome's tourist-catching restaurants. Even the two-euro cover charge was covered by the bread and pizza! Wow, that pizza was delicious, so you can mop it up with it! Fast service, what do you think?

08/12/2025: I had lunch at this splendid restaurant on the occasion of the Immaculate Conception, and the experience was impeccable. We were served by Andrea, an extraordinary person: professional, attentive, and capable of making us feel immediately at home. The service was impeccable, and the food was simply excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a quality lunch and a welcoming atmosphere.

12/10/2025: Congratulations to Gionatan and the team. Sunday lunch with the family felt like being at grandma's house. Fantastic, homemade cuisine, seasonal products with authentic flavors. Gionatan is the perfect combination of friendliness and hospitality, with the ever-present "rinforzino" (small reinforcement). Fettuccine, pappardelle, ravioli, porcini mushrooms, lamb, and arrosticini, all delicious. Small but welcoming atmosphere with a small outdoor area. Reservations are required for Sunday lunch. Highly recommended for those who appreciate home cooking.

07/12/2025: Beautiful, very welcoming place. We tried artichokes cooked in four different ways, which were truly excellent, puntarelle fritters with anchovies on buttered crostini, a fantastic Florentine steak, and a delicious dessert! Attentive and fast service, Fabiola was truly kind!!! The price was reasonable for the dinner. Definitely an experience worth repeating!!!

06/12/2025: Good appetizers: porcini mushrooms and potatoes, buffalo mozzarella with black truffle, and a charcuterie board. For my first course, I chose...wrongly...tagliolini with truffle, bland and cold pasta with a few flakes of black scorzone...since I was with company, I "corrected" it with pecorino cheese! The other diners chose various first courses, and they were good. We then had a tiramisu and a basket with chantilly cream and berries. Everything was average, nothing exceptional. The plastic chairs (which didn't fit in with the rustic location) were uncomfortable. We'll be back to try the meat. The volleyball-playing waitress was very kind and smiling.

02/12/2025: We were just visiting Rome and came around this Tali n Tiago on google for Filipino Food as we are craving home cooked filipino meals. We cannot comment on how the food tastes, but can definitely comment on how unwelcoming and bad the customer service is. The server was about to come and get our orders but an old lady stopped him and told him that he has to serve some "VIP" customers first. Maybe it would be better as long as it was not said in-front of us but because we are there and heard everything it felt like we were treated rudely, like you have to be VIP to be served food. we were waiting for our orders to be taken around 15-20 minutes, so we just walked out!!!!

10/12/2025: Testaccio Market in December 2025 was a disappointment. Over 70 % of the shops were closed. Maybe this bustling in the Roman summer?? But we did eat lunch at Mord &Vai. Highly reccomend.

06/12/2025: The food quality is mediocre: the salad was made with frozen tomatoes that fell apart under the fork, the meat was average, and they don't have any fruit or pineapple (they barely managed to get us an apple). The waitresses are annoyed and furious at every request, and the service is truly mediocre. They bring dishes without cutlery, making customers and children wait in front of their plates without being able to eat. There are very few tables in the dining room, making it very difficult for customers to book. The only saving grace is the park in front; otherwise, it would have been short-lived.

24/11/2025: Some of the first courses were good: I recommend the gnocchi and the fresh pasta dishes; others were adequate, but we didn't like the lasagna. The meat was good. The service was so-so: we had two 5-6 year olds, and they served one first, followed by the other 10 minutes later. It's okay if the adult dishes don't arrive at the same time, but at least the kids' dishes! The desserts were classic, simple, but delicious. It's an excellent location for children, as it has a large outdoor play area surrounded by greenery.
