The place is a little small but they know how to cook starters, first courses and MEAT...Top

The meat was of very high quality, and the chef's skill in searing the steak was superb. I chose this place for my last dinner before leaving Rome. I went alone, arriving a bit early, before the restaurant officially opened, but I still received a very warm and friendly welcome. I was served by a lady and a gentleman, both very welcoming and friendly. Although I don't speak Italian, I successfully ordered using a translation app and basic English. I ordered a pasta dish called Mezzemaniche alla amatriciana and a steak called Bistecca. The Mezzemaniche alla amatriciana was the best I had in Rome all week; it was made with pork cheek meat and a tomato-based sauce—very flavorful, with a pronounced pork fat aroma, and a generous portion. The steak, needless to say, was of very high quality, and perfectly seared. Initially, I didn't choose the doneness and asked the waiter for a recommendation. It was supposed to be medium-rare, but when it arrived, I cut into it and felt it was a bit too rare (Asians generally don't like very rare beef). Of course, this wasn't the chef's fault, but rather a matter of personal taste. In fact, the chef's technique in searing the steak was flawless; the caramelization on the outside and the doneness on the inside were perfectly controlled. So I called the waiter back and asked if I could sear it a little longer, to medium-well, which he readily agreed to. The medium-well steak was much more to my liking the second time; the fatty parts were incredibly flavorful, and the lean parts weren't too dry. If you have a larger group, I recommend ordering the weighed T-bone steak; it would be even better.
The final bill, including drinks and service charge, came to around forty euros. The credit card machine had a problem, so I paid in cash. A perfect meal before leaving.
Thank you for the restaurant's warm hospitality.

A spectacular evening of good food, fun, and good company. A huge thank you to all the staff for letting us taste typical Roman dishes! The evening was topped off by the karaoke, masterfully hosted by Emilio! We'll be back!

Ancient Flavors with a twist! Sorry to be folkloristic, but that's what I found at the Squarcia butcher shop. An interesting "tasting menu" offering, but translated into pre-cooked and reheated dishes. Raw cacio & pepe linguine, delicious mezze maniche all'amatriciana. The grilled meat was also grilled and reheated, half burned and dehydrated. The grand finale: grilled arrosticini??? Are you kidding me? You serve me, an Abruzzese, a "fake" arrosticini... I'm speechless!? Anyway, after two hours of dinner in the cold, due to a sliding door always left half open, after the necessary protests of frostbite (and we weren't the only ones), the brilliant innkeeper replied: I ONLY HAVE TO DO ANOTHER EIGHT MONTHS, ANYWAY I'LL PUT A SPRING ON THE DOOR! I left stunned!
I can calmly say goodbye... and give yourself a nice gift for 2026, close!

We ate in the space outside the restaurant, and it's certainly not comfortable because it's very narrow. This is the only downside. Overall, it was a wonderful experience: excellent food and fantastic staff. It's best to book a table to eat inside.

For me, this is the best Roman trattoria in Garbatella. Excellent food and generous portions. There were 20 of us and we ate very well. I always love returning.
