29/04/2026: We returned to I Piani this evening, April 29th, for the second time because the quality of the food truly deserves it: excellent seafood, carefully prepared dishes, an elegant atmosphere, and prices consistent with the level of service. For this very reason, I was ready to leave a fully positive review. Unfortunately, at the end of the evening, everything was ruined by the attitude of a young woman serving tables outside, with long hair. Instead of speaking politely, she loudly commented, "Oh, but these are in the middle," referring to my family (husband and son) who were simply leaving. Shortly afterward, she also turned around and laughed with a colleague as we walked away. Such behavior is unworthy of a place that strives for luxury and excellence. In a restaurant of this caliber, one expects professionalism, discretion, and courtesy, not superficiality and disrespect. A simple "permission" can make a difference. It's a shame, because incidents like this end up detracting from the great work done by those who served us so well during our dinner inside. The advice is simple: invest in staff training, because service doesn't end at the table but continues until the customer leaves. A dinner of this caliber deserves to be remembered for its taste, not for the rudeness of a staff member. Daniele Family

24/05/2026: We organized an aperitif with friends. It was a wonderful evening in this welcoming place, with super delicious dishes! Definitely worth repeating!

04/06/2026: A very good family restaurant near the Vatican. It's a place where you can experience true Italian cuisine. The food was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, and the owner was incredibly kind and hospitable.

03/06/2026: We were four people for Lunch. I sincerely appreciated the great care of the Service and the outstanding location just in front of one of the oldest Church in Rome. The food was well prepared. Cooking time perfect with very high quality ingredienti, not common to find these days The fried artichoke was great. The Pasta Gricia with artichoke chips, excellent: aged cheese sauce much above the market standard. Seabass wild Mediterranean catch cooked to perfection. Prices are in level with quality and no regret when I paid the bill. Just one negative note: they do not accept yesterday American Express; in my opinion payment method should be a guest choice

03/06/2026: THE BEST carbonara and oxtail pasta! The service was great, a nice area to relax away from the huge crowds, I can’t wait to come back!

06/06/2026: We loved the dinner in this restaurant. The experience was great! The food was so delicious we would come back on our next visit to Rome. The venue suggests complementary starter and a glass of prosecco which is very nice. The staff is polite and attentive to guests.

29/05/2026: Tourists beware... Tried speaking some italian and was polite in communication. Our waiter was so nice and helpful. We expected the typical charges for bread and water (the latter of which we ordered), but got potato chips instead of bread. Chips were good just an odd choice to have instead of traditional bread, but at least those tasted good. However, we were brought additional drinks we did not order, 3 glasses of wine, and another unknown drink. So 4 unordered drinks. We thought perhaps the drinks were on the house due to reading accounts of other people experiencing free items after having a good relationship with the staff/making attempts to speak the language. Sadly to our surprise and disappointment, they were not free and placed on our bill. We had to pay for these beverages of course due to consuming them, and yes-- we should have confirmed this with staff before same, but... hopefully you learn from our mistake. Tourists may be getting upcharged and hustled here so be forewarned. Food was not to my liking either. Had the beet root with eggplant sauce... and presentation wise... it looked like cat food from a can. That being said, it wasn't terrible in taste but I would not recommend it.

26/12/2025: The lakeside location offers a panoramic view, and the courtesy and quality are impeccable. The price is proportionate to the service you receive. The restaurant organizes themed evenings/dinners that are always of great quality and taste.

26/12/2025: A super historic venue (1882) with an elegant atmosphere and a view of the lake. Christmas lunch is a challenging and often challenging experience, but they were perfect in terms of timing, service, and food quality. We'll return on a more relaxed evening to appreciate it all even more.

09/06/2026: An insult to Aperol Spritz! We came into this place on a very hot afternoon, looking for something cool and light, and ordered two Aperol Spritzes. I was shocked to see the bartender prepare the drink using Sprite instead of prosecco and soda! The shock was even greater when they served us the glasses completely warm and WITHOUT ICE. Drinking a sweet, warm cocktail made with Sprite on a scorching afternoon was terrible. It was neither good nor refreshing. If you don't know how to make a classic Italian spritz, it's best not to put it on the menu. Not recommended! A complete disaster. We came here on a super hot afternoon looking for something refreshing and ordered two Aperol Spritzes. I was shocked to see the bartender making it with Sprite instead of prosecco and soda. To make matters worse, we received full glasses with absolutely NO ICE. Drinking a warm, sweet, syrupy drink on a hot day was awful. It was neither tasty nor refreshing. Absolutely terrible experience.

08/06/2026: A fantastic cheese and cold cuts platter. If you're there, be sure to try it, along with the reasonably priced wine. I highly recommend it!

16/05/2026: A splendid restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. The service is excellent. The food is fantastic value for money; any pasta or pizza you order is a sure thing.

16/05/2026: A welcoming place with efficient and fast staff. A variety of options, including classic, modern, and gourmet fast food. For me, who's picky, the quality of the food isn't up to par; cocktails, wines, and beers are okay; the welcome and service are very good. Reasonable price/quality ratio, generous portions!
