01/07/2025: 4.5 I can't give it aime! Everything is spectacular to say the least! Food, location, staff! So what didn't make me give it 5? Well they didn't have the broth for the tortelli I ordered! But the waiter was so kind and smiling in the way he was sorry that I let it go and move on 😉 but next time I warn you that I'll come 😜 Go there and you'll be happy.

23/06/2025: A place discovered almost by chance… I can only say… BRAVI!!! The place is beautiful, very vintage… the service? 10 and praise (they are 21 years old, both the person who served us and the person who prepared the dishes…) the wine cellar… embarrassingly stocked (we took a Barbaresco Riserva… embarrassing!!!! If you pass by here… Mattia will pamper you!!!

04/05/2025: Welcome to Locanda La Pioppa, between Via Emilia and the West, a few steps from the motorway and the unrivaled craftsmanship of the Truck Driver Monument. An oasis for robust stomachs and tired souls, where time has stopped, probably to have a sambuca. Proudly preserved 90s interiors and zoological-hallucinogenic wallpaper with intellectual raccoons, mystical birds and assorted mammals. Friendly and welcoming staff. We ate well. Super generous dishes, perhaps a little too tasty: 1 plate of Fantasia di Mare scialatielli (and oil), peppered mussels (which are actually Taranto-style mussels), 1 portion of grilled vegetables and 1 bottle of water. Cost: 41.50. An honest amount for a hearty meal and a digestion that will end in a few weeks but the atmosphere is so irresistible that we will be back!

10/06/2025: Very beautiful grounds and facility..however, not a full service hotel in terms of staff and food. Breakfast was limited. Location is close to airport but a taxi is definitely required. It's a 30 min bus ride to Bologna. It was very safe here but not convenient to seeing Bologna or Modena...it took us over an hour to get to Modena via bus and train. Multiple bus routes within walking distance as well as several good restaurants. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pretty views from some rooms.

07/06/2025: We stayed one night for a business trip. The rooms were very spacious and clean, including the bathroom. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good, nothing exceptional but adequate. Recommended

31/05/2025: Today we were in Castenaso and we looked for a farmhouse in the hills.. Instinctively I chose to call this farmhouse to book.. Mrs. Adele who took the reservation was very kind and helpful. The location is magical, really pretty, we were welcomed with smiles and by three very sweet Collies. I immediately fell in love with the elegant simplicity and the refinement of some details.. The fixed menu food was excellent, the quantities were right and the girl who served us was exquisitely helpful. Nothing to say...A place to really recommend! Thank you! I hope to be able to return soon!

03/03/2025: I've been here to eat, my review will only be on the restaurant. I really liked the style and the slightly country-like furniture, wood and the outside view is beautiful, surrounded by greenery. Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff. Super menu and the chef available to needs, I always managed to have a lactose-free option, for me who am intolerant. I ate inside, I will definitely return in spring to fully enjoy the outside garden. I will definitely return, highly recommended!

10/05/2025: Very old tavern for the "biasanôt" (night owls) of Bologna. Jazz, a soft and cheerful atmosphere at the same time. Very 70s/80s style.

05/03/2025: It was .. interesting experience. We sat with the expectation for like a restaurant, but it was more like a local pub. For food very narrow options, the menu is the man in the bar, which is very friendly. Not bad for beers and some games.

15/06/2025: Surrounded by the magical atmosphere of Gino Pellegrini's paintings in Piazzetta Betlemme, we had lunch in this splendid Trattoria, which with the new management has become a point of reference for catering in San Giovanni in Persiceto. Traditional dishes prepared with mastery and with excellent products accompany innovative and tasty proposals for a gastronomy made by competent professionals with a long-range vision of Emilian catering. Tortellini with cream of broth and gyoza with Bolognese ragù are real delights for the palate. Excellent wine cellar Congratulations indeed. We will return with great pleasure.

15/06/2025: What can I say, this place is really amazing! The guys who run it are super nice and welcoming, and the place is really cute both inside and out. The murals outside are gorgeous, and the interior decoration is really well-kept. And the food? Simply divine! Even if it is a bit far, I will definitely go back to eat in the little square outside.

09/06/2025: One of the best places in Bologna. Exceptional sandwiches, made on the spot, abundant and of excellent quality. Instead usually in Bologna if things are abundant they are of terrible quality, and if they are of great quality the quantities are ridiculous. Everything made on the spot. Delicious place also aesthetically. Exceptional staff and owner. They transmit cordiality and that rare sympathy to find. Exceptional prices, impossible to find in Bologna. Area easily reachable from the center by bus. In a very expensive neighborhood of Bologna, Andrea Costa. And despite this the prices are very low.. a 10 minute walk takes you to the San Luca climb or the Meloncello climb to get to the park of the three hundred steps on the hill and see all of Bologna, and from there you can continue through the woods and hills. Amazing music selection

19/06/2025: Suggestive setting on the hills of Bologna but the cuisine is absolutely not up to par! Small portions and prices absolutely above average! The desserts were a sad surprise. The change of management has certainly had a negative impact on the cuisine despite the truly minimal menu. Little customer care and little friendliness.
