04/10/2025: No seating. But excellent take away sandwiches, and great value!

28/09/2025: Sandwiches with traditional products and a cute location. There's not much space inside, but there are benches outside in the little square. We waited 15 minutes for 7 sandwiches, but it was worth it. Very nice and friendly staff.

09/10/2025: We discovered this restaurant by chance, but it truly surprised us: all the dishes were spectacular, the place is beautiful, and you can tell it has a lot of history. The service was excellent and fast. We were pleasantly surprised, highly recommend it, and will definitely be back!

08/10/2025: First of all, don't trust Maps' directions to get to this place because it sends you down a dead-end street where it's difficult to get out... pay attention to the signs on the main road! Let's get to the restaurant... everything is very good, with refined, quality ingredients. The place is beautiful; we ate in the "cantine" (large cellar), but the main room also seemed very nice, albeit a bit of a maze with multiple floors. The kitchen is open, and many people work there, well-organized, and fast: the dishes came out in a few minutes despite it being packed. The wait staff seemed a bit stressed and frenetic, probably because it was busy and the kitchen was working at a fast pace, so they had to rush around quite a bit. All in all, a nice place with good food, but it didn't allow me to fully enjoy what it offered, not giving me the tranquility that a "Sunday lunch" deserves!

05/10/2025: This restaurant was recommended to us; you need to book ahead because it only seats about thirty. It couldn't have been better! A cozy, family-friendly atmosphere, top-quality home-cooked food, attentive and friendly service. Excellent value for money!

23/09/2025: An intense experience sampling the chef's dishes, all refined and delicious. Worthy of note are the saffron and Taleggio tavioli, and the veal creamed with Montepulciano. Recommended.

04/09/2025: Set amongst the postcard perfect backdrop of Monte Velino, this is without doubt a textbook hidden gem quaint town restaurant. If the drive to Rosciolo dei Marsi isn’t spectacular enough, it is matched with an equally spectacular dining experience at Locanda dell’Arco. The cuisine is a far cry from the usual suspects found in most abruzzese restaurants… this is next level. The restaurant is run by a young husband and wife team, with the husband heading the kitchen. The Chef has brought his Piemontese culinary roots into the heart of Abruzzo, with a menu that respects both tradition but also with a flair of innovation. The menu is small and hand written, ensuring it’s align with what’s seasonal and available at its best. The wine is in a league of its own, expect small batch barolo, barbera d’asti and barbaresco, amongst many others, all hand picked by the passionate couple. The chef’s wife, who leads the service, highly recommended the carpaccio di manzo with mandarin and basil sorbet. Let’s just say, I drove 2 hours to arrive at this restaurant and would travel 2 hours again just for this dish. Refreshing, clean and refined, without being pretentious, it set the pace for what was to be a memorable meal. As a Piemontese should be, the chef is famed for his risotto, today it was zafferanno with liquorice, his signature dish I apparently. No this is not something i would ever order without a recommendation, so I’m lucky I asked. This was without doubt the best risotto I’ver ever had, it wasn’t to be expected in a small remote town in the middle of Abruzzo, but this was just spectacular. To finish, another Piemontese classic, bonet. A chocolate and amaretto dessert that was probably the best spoon of food I’ve had in a very long time in an Italian restaurant. Luckily we ordered two of the same as it would be criminal to share. The desserts are truly outstanding and if I was a guts, I’d probably would have ordered two! The experience at Locanda was unexpectedly exceptional. The staff, the meal, the location, this is a restaurant that begs to be revisited and well worth a day dream even from Rome! Thank you Locanda dell’Arco for a memorable experience.

08/10/2025: I expected better, average product, good platter of cured meats, cheeses and fried foods, you could feel the low quality of the cured meats, costs too high for an average quality product, nice location

13/09/2025: If you come to Castel di Sangro, you absolutely have to stop and eat here. A very well-kept restaurant, with attentive and fast staff, and excellent food. Excellent value. My partner and I (we're parents, so we came with our young daughter) split a €24 appetizer and then ordered two first courses. My pappardelle with porcini mushrooms were spectacular. Finally, a lemon sorbet to refresh the palate. A highly recommended place for new parents. The bathroom also has a changing table for emergencies.

16/09/2025: A fantastic experience: a curious and carefully crafted menu, attention to raw ingredients, and attentive service, all in an eclectic setting that exudes an artistic blend of futuristic research and tradition. A gastronomic gem in the Marsica region that I recommend to everyone, especially those who want to experience the raw, sincere, and authentic soul of the local tradition.

05/09/2025: The restaurant presents itself as a fine dining establishment, but the dishes belie this. We ordered a vegetarian platter... which wasn't vegetarian (with cured meats!). The gnocchi were completely tasteless. The pinsa was practically raw. If anything, the drinks were even worse: we were recommended a white wine that was completely unsuitable for dinner, very sweet and warm, and their own beer bore little resemblance to an IPA. The desserts we ordered were initially criticized because we didn't choose local ones... and then they never arrived. To top it all off, the POS didn't work.

02/10/2025: A corner of Campania/Irpinia flavors in the heart of Salento. From appetizers to first courses, from pizza to main courses, everything is traditional. Special dishes are also available upon request, and you can follow them on Instagram. Thank you for the company of the owner and the attentive waiters.

02/10/2025: We stumbled upon it by chance, and it was a pleasant surprise. The service is a little slow in the evening because it is very busy, but the wait is worth it. The pizzas are very well garnished and the dough is really very good. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere very friendly, we highly recommend it.

21/09/2025: It's a pleasure to review places like this, where the owners are truly passionate about what they do and the local area, selecting quality local ingredients. The pappardelle with venison and wild boar will remain in our hearts, but the pappardelle with hare and venison were also delicious. The tart was also a highlight. Besides eating well, we discovered so much about the national park. We'll definitely be back soon to try the rest of the menu!

The service was friendly and attentive! I recommend it to anyone looking for a great atmosphere, authentic food, and a friendly atmosphere!

25/09/2025: Here's a review you might find useful We dined at La Foce and were thrilled. The first courses were exquisite: authentic flavors, fresh ingredients, and meticulous preparation. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly, making us feel right at home. The warm and relaxed atmosphere made the evening even more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back to try the other dishes on the menu!

13/10/2025: What can I say, where to begin... We arrive for lunch, although it was more of a kidnapping than a lunch. The table is medium-sized, and the first thing we ask is if they have vegan options. Otherwise, I would have easily looked for another place for myself and another person. I say yes, and so we all sit down. An eternity passes before anyone comes to ask if we want a drink; no menus are available. Another eternity passes before they come to ask us about appetizers, which we obviously couldn't choose since the menus were never brought to the table. I remind the waiter that I'm vegan, asking what the vegan options are, and the answer I get is "I DON'T KNOW, VEGETABLES," in a tone that's annoyed to say the least. The famous vegetables arrive: some tasteless grilled peppers and mediocre eggplants—these are the vegan options. Congratulations. Another eternity later, another waiter arrives (or maybe the owner, I don't know), asking us for our starters, again without having had a chance to consult the menu. Once again, I naively ask what I should choose, and he replies, "You have to tell me what you want," which I would have done if I'd only known what was on offer, but without a shred of a menu, it's hard to ask for anything. When I reiterate which foods I don't eat, he even rolls his eyes at me, astonished. We settle on pasta with porcini mushrooms, a mediocre dish like the rest of the dishes, which also left me feeling nauseous for the rest of the day, and perhaps it's best not to investigate the reasons. The other diners fared better, but they too were offered samples of three starters, but only two of them arrived. When some asked for second courses, the initial response was "we have meat," further information was provided upon prompting, shocking. Now I wonder how it's possible, in 2025, to approach customers like this. I've rarely seen such ignorance and rudeness from someone offering a service, or at least supposedly so. Not to mention that all it would have taken was for them to immediately say, "No, they don't have vegan options," and I would have saved myself an absurd amount of money for dishes that should shame the people who prepared them, and you for having a clearly unwelcome customer at your establishment.

24/08/2025: Il Cacciatore is the reference restaurant in the area, home-made cuisine, great quality and abundant dishes alone would be enough to define the place, but in addition the welcome, professionalism and great availability of the staff make it an even better place, and it doesn't end there, the prices are also very affordable. The quality-price ratio is incredible, you eat a lot, everything is delicious and you spend very little. If you pass through those parts you can't help but stop, but even if you live far away and want to take a trip, in any case you won't regret it 👍🏼
