05/07/2025: We went after a long time since we had eaten there and the quality is always excellent, everything is delicious, from the pizza to the delicacies to the calzones. The girl at the counter is smiling and super kind, it makes you want to go back! Congratulations indeed. We ate very well and we felt at home.

30/07/2025: I entered Bar Fratelli Nurzia with high expectations, but unfortunately I was sorely disappointed. The nougat coffee, which I'd heard so much about, was tasteless and overly sweet. The service was slow and inattentive, even though the place wasn't crowded. The atmosphere, unfortunately, didn't make up for the poor quality of the drinks. I won't be returning, nor do I recommend it.

29/07/2025: Historic bar in the center of L'Aquila, right in Piazza Duomo! Traditional pastries and good coffee, a very nice place!

16/08/2025: This place is amazing. I was overwhelmed by the number of options available, but luckily the nice lady behind the counter gave her recommendation, and oh man, she did recommend. In most cases I am cautious with prosciuto crudo, but it was somehow easy to bite into, and the lemon-infused olive oil with the combination of Parmeggiano Reggiano, excellent. Really. Thank you! P.s. the music was great (some alter-metal-rock. Nice one :D ).

20/08/2025: During our stay in Rocca di Cambio, we dined at Ristorante Il Caminetto, nestled in the Sirente-Velino Regional Natural Park, and were thrilled. As soon as we entered, we were warmly greeted by the staff, who escorted us to our table in the lower room: a rustic, warm, and familiar atmosphere where you immediately feel at home. The cuisine is typical of Abruzzo, and you can taste it from the first bite: the mixed antipasto of local cured meats and cheeses was a great start, with authentic and well-balanced flavors. The pork shank was the true star of the dinner: incredibly tender, it pulled apart on its own, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. All accompanied by an excellent house wine. The other menu items, all well-designed, also showcase local tradition using quality ingredients. The portions are generous, the quality/price ratio excellent, and the staff is always friendly and helpful. At the end of the meal, in addition to the classic sweets and liqueurs, the restaurant also offers an original and traditional twist: sweets dipped in artisanal liqueurs. We tried the licorice and aniseed ones—an original and delightful way to end the evening. A tip: if you visit in the summer, book well in advance to eat on the terrace. Without a doubt, Il Caminetto is the best restaurant in Rocca di Cambio—and perhaps in the entire area. Highly recommended!

27/08/2025: my mum and i came to gallipoli for 10 days only. we are from australia. on our first night here we tried pizza at a place around gallipoli that was not nice at all and we were a bit worried to try another pizza place, on our last night in gallipoli we tried la giara art pizza and OMG it was 10/10. my mum and i literally loved it, we didn’t leave a crumb. it was the most delicious pizza we’ve ever had (even down in australia) staff are really nice and welcoming to tourists and atmosphere is great as well. i highly recommend this place for anyone and everyone who goes to gallipoli and not to mention my mum and i loved the pizza that much, that we even got another pizza to takeaway just so we can eat it in our hotel.

26/08/2025: Excellent pizza and top-quality ingredients. The place is a bit small, and in some places, even with the air conditioning on, it was hot because the vents pushed the air into a completely different area than where we were eating. They were a bit slow with orders, but overall, it was a good experience. Recommended for anyone in the area who wants a good pizza without too many expectations about the location.

23/08/2025: This restaurant is just outside the city center. It looks great. Large, well-spaced tables. Discreet elegance. Great attention to the wine selection. The service here is an absolute plus. The young, motivated, and friendly staff work together. The bread is superb. I had the mushroom, saffron, and tuna ravioli. Superb. The cream-filled millefeuille was superb. Recommended. One of the best restaurants I've been to. Well done, well done, well done.

30/08/2025: An insult to common sense and your wallet If you're looking for a mountain aperitivo and are within a few kilometers of Castel di Sangro, Roccaraso, and Rivisondoli, I recommend you avoid Ristoro La Foce in Scontrone. Our experience was a true insult to common sense and your wallet. The "tagliere" (a platter) offered for eight people (already insufficient for three) was a sad spectacle: prosciutto crudo of embarrassing quality, prosciutto cotto (in an aperitivo... a true gastronomic horror), four measly strips of industrial cheese, and a few slices of stale pizza bread, more worthy of the trash than the table. Price? 48 euros. Not content, we ordered a small plate of "gateau di patate" (potato gateau) topped with the unlikely stale crumbs of some ancestor of rustic pizzas, which immediately revealed themselves to be a receptacle of scraps: five microscopic portions for 32 euros. The Spritz? A masterpiece of absence: transparent, alcohol-free, divorced from even the most mediocre discount prosecco. A watered-down drink passed off as a cocktail. An insult to the very concept of a "drink." In short: ridiculous portions, starred restaurant prices, the quality of a run-down fast food joint. If you value your wallet, your taste buds, and your dignity, do yourself a favor: pass by. In the area, you're sure to find places where aperitivo is still a pleasure, not a joke. And then there's the old trick of the non-fiscal receipt, just to cap off a truly forgettable experience. The restaurateur smiles at the thought of having cheated yet another customer and is ready to suggest "please note" the bill, which, of course, is sent back with disdain and the promise of educating friends and acquaintances on a trip to the charming village of Scontrone, in the province of L'Aquila.

18/08/2025: Truly a unique place. Don't be fooled by the outside, because inside you'll find spectacular cuisine, beautifully plated, beautifully served, with excellent ingredients, and at very fair prices. Not to be missed, it will be our regular stop when we return! We returned today, August 18, 2025. Everything was still good, but the prices were higher (not a little) than those listed in the menus published in the reviews.

27/08/2025: A magical experience! The Prancing Pony Inn is a one-of-a-kind place! Decorated entirely in a Lord of the Rings theme, with meticulous attention to detail, it truly feels like you're in the Shire or a tavern in Rivendell. The atmosphere is fantastic and welcoming! The food is exceptional: spectacular arrosticini, fabulous supplì (perhaps the best I've ever eaten), crispy potatoes, and a creamy tiramisu that's perfect for a sweet end. The staff is friendly, helpful, and super helpful. A perfect mix of good food and an original setting. Highly recommended, both for fantasy fans and those simply looking for a different kind of dinner!
