03/05/2026: Small place, but worth a stop. Traditional cuisine with imaginative twists. Reservations are required, but there are only a few tables. Attentive and friendly staff. A variety of dishes are available, all of which we found to be flavorful and tasty. The price is fair. A solid experience, one we'll repeat.
30/04/2026: We went to Giocondo and had a fantastic experience! The place is intimate, very quaint, and well-organized. There's a small price to pay: you have to park a bit outside and walk through the alleys to get there, but it's absolutely worth it.
The staff is very friendly, and the welcome gift (excellent bread and pecorino cheese) is a lovely touch. We had a platter and a grilled meat: everything was super fresh, local, and had that old-fashioned flavor. If you're looking for substance and courtesy, you're in the right place. Highly recommended!

01/02/2026: A lovely bistro in Rivisondoli, very welcoming and furnished with meticulous attention to detail. Host Giuseppe welcomes you with warmth, making you feel immediately at home. A fascinating culinary journey, made with authentic ingredients, mostly produced on the family farm and all transformed by Giuseppe's wife, who knows how to amaze the palates of even the most sophisticated gourmets. It's fascinating to hear how the products are created and the expert preparations, combining research and expertise to create sublime dishes. We loved the onion soup served in a French-style bowl, as well as the cured meats from their own El Nero Abruzzese pigs. The exceptional mortadella experiment was exquisite. The roe deer-filled crepes were also excellent, not to mention the chicken stuffed and cooked in Pinot Noir (Coq ai vin), also pasture-raised and expertly fed to bring out the best in its members at the table. In short, an experience that just thinking about it makes you want to relive it immediately. The wine list is also interesting, a testament to the careful research and dedication to consistently offering top-quality products. The desserts are a world apart, exceptional. Kudos to Giuseppe and the Bistrot Rizziero staff for their quality.

12/06/2026: A simple and authentic place, where you feel welcomed right at home. The staff was extremely kind and helpful, paying particular attention to children, making us feel immediately at ease.
We ate very well, with authentic dishes and quality products. The atmosphere is warm and familiar, just what you look for when you're in the mountains.
A place where courtesy isn't a detail, but an integral part of the experience. Highly recommended for families and anyone looking for good food and a sincere welcome. The price was very fair! We'll definitely be back! 😊

07/07/2026: Escape from Naples with a great surprise in Rivisondoli... yes, due to the infernal heat of these days, I escaped to the mountains, but I never thought I'd find a corner of paradise. The restaurant is located near the main church of the village, has an outdoor area on the typical local paving, with tables for dining al fresco. I opted for a table inside because, I have to say, 16 degrees was a bit too much compared to the 35 degrees in Naples. The dining room was very welcoming, with non-invasive background music. I wanted to try some of the specialties... from the egg with truffle... to their carpaccio... for me, the best are the meatballs, and then I went for the first ones... but the second courses were a show... lamb and steak... and finally, since I'm with demanding friends, we drank a bit too much... between some who wanted red wine and some sparkling wine...
06/06/2026: We had a great time both in terms of the quality of the food and the welcome.

05/05/2026: Happy to have made this discovery. Excellent food. The owner is welcoming and very friendly. Feeling at home is priceless. The staff is polite and knowledgeable.
After reading the reviews, I was astonished by the utter negativity of those who tried it. I'm amazed that with us, everything was anything but negative! Certainly, good manners, respect for the work of others, and civic sense always make the difference. We'll be back!!! Thank you.
28/03/2026: I honestly don't understand or agree with the negative reviews about this restaurant. Tonight, my wife and daughter ate with us after making a reservation over the phone in the afternoon, and the young man who answered was friendly and kind. I've always known the atmosphere and the restaurant, even though I hadn't been there in a few years. The host is the same as always, attentive and courteous in attending to each table, with just the right amount of passion and politeness. I ate a pork cheek that let me experience the full flavor of a delicate yet flavorful dish. And then there were the homemade cookies made by Attilio's wife... pure poetry.
Unfortunately, there are people out there who think that if they pay, they can do anything. I believe that every time I try or return to a restaurant, I go to explore and understand what that place has to offer, but I'm always a guest. If I like it, I'm happy to pay and return. If I don't, it means it's not what I needed at that moment. Attilio made me feel good tonight, so chapeau!

I visited the restaurant with my whole family and found a vibrant atmosphere, with young, talented people enriched by excellent training and a strong desire to grow.
Delicate dishes that perfectly combine vegetables, which are never presented as a simple side dish, but always a distinctive element on par with the meats.
The wine list is designed to enhance the flavor of the dishes served, leaving a good selection of options across price ranges.
The total cost is commensurate with the quality of the dishes, products, and service.
If you're looking for a diner where you'll leave feeling heavy from the large portions served, this isn't the right place.
If you want to experience high-quality, obsessively thought-out cuisine, this place won't disappoint.

17/05/2025: I love the staff, they give away candy to children, teenagers, and adults. It's very well stocked with things I've never seen before, but they're delicious.
I love that place, it's like home to me now.
It has a selection of fine quality wines.
And a variety of taralli, fish, mushrooms, milk, cheeses, chocolate, and caramels.

24/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati sabato pomeriggio in questo accattivante bar ristorante a Rivisondoli per fare un aperitivo e siamo stati bene, il proprietario Diego molto simpatico ci ha dato la possibilità di cenare anche la sera e visto che nel gruppo 2 amici sono di Rivisondoli e ci hanno detto che si mangia bene abbiamo deciso di prenotare anche la sera, non avevamo fame per cui chiediamo al proprietario di preparare un aperitivo anche per la cena….. L aperitivo è consistito in salumi e formaggi accompagnati da 3 birre artigianali ed una bottiglia di vino rosso locale abbiamo concluso con dolce e qualche amaro , preciso che le quantità dei salumi e formaggi erano da aperitivo!!! Chiediamo il conto e siamo rimasti tutti molto sorpresi ben 38 euro a persona!!!

21/02/2025: un bar ristorante nel cuore di Rivisondoli. e’ il punto di riferimento. sotto l’attenta visione del titolare Diego e della moglie Paola la clientela viene servita e coccolata con ottimi cocktail e dolci fatti in casa. tra l’altro fa una piccola ristorazione molto curata, come ad esempio il carpaccio di baccalà, carpaccio di cervo con rucola cotto di fichi e scaglie di ricotta. ottimo il tagliere di salumi con specialità locali e cacciagione. si consiglia per gruppi e famiglie. noi ormai lo pratichiamo da anni e non possiamo farne a meno: e’ un ottimo locale per terminare una giornata dedicata allo sci. consigliato. prezzi in linea con la qualità fornita.

02/01/2025: Azienda agricola condotta con amore e particolare attenzione al cliente che fin'ora non avevo mai trovato. Cenone di capodanno con menù ricco, genuino e ottimo, con richiesta economica onestissima. Non mi era mai successo di emozionarmi per come siamo stati trattati sin dalla prenotazione telefonica..... BELLISSIMO POSTO DOVE SI MANGIA BENE E SI ESCE PIENI D'AFFETTO 🤗
26/12/2024: In giro per Roccaraso e dintorni l’ho trovato per caso , esperienza straordinaria per cucina, accoglienza, una atmosfera familiare in cui ci si immerge immediatamente, il tutto accompagnato da piatti con sapori autentici abruzzesi. Consigliatissmo!
