07/07/2026: And I believe he won! The expectations after winning 4 Ristoranti were sky-high, but "Le 4 Ville" in Castelvecchio Calvisio not only met them, but completely exceeded them. It was a memorable gastronomic experience. All the dishes we tried were of the highest quality: - Cacio e ova (cheese and egg balls): Simply exquisite, expertly executed. - Saffron gnocchi: A revelation, creamy and with a fragrance that captivates you from the first bite. - Arrosticini: Unparalleled, perfectly cooked and made with excellent ingredients. - Scamorza with truffle: A sublime combination, intense and refined. - The Fillacchi cacio e ova (cheese and egg) were unexpectedly superb! Beyond the food, the kindness and professionalism of the staff deserves special mention, as they immediately made us feel at home. The setting is also captivating: Castelvecchio Calvisio is a splendid village, which is slowly returning to its former glory as the center's renovation continues, adding even more charm to the atmosphere. The value for money is exceptional; we spent very little compared to the exceptional quality of the food we ate. We returned home thrilled, with full bellies and the certainty of wanting to return to this corner of paradise on the Gran Sasso as soon as possible. A place that deserves every single award it's received and much more.

15/06/2026: Attracted by the opportunity for my partner to eat gluten-free, we wanted to give this place a try. Run by two very kind people who are happy to chat along the way, we were literally stunned by the "Costanzo" sandwich, an explosion of bold yet well-balanced flavors. Some might argue, "They're just sandwiches," but the love, dedication, and above all, the RAW MATERIALS these guys put into every creation is incredible (so much so that we forgot about dessert and grabbed a third sandwich to share, spoiling another moment of joy). 08/07/2026: We had dinner with the truffle menu. It was really good, but over the top! The menu was incredibly rich, with dishes that were definitely excellent. The place was also very nice. Recommended.

06/07/2026: We had lunch here on our way back from vacation. The atmosphere was welcoming, the staff was attentive without being intrusive. The guanciale and saffron chitarrina was an explosion of flavor, with just the right balance between the savory guanciale and the delicate saffron. Not to mention the dessert... a millefeuille with saffron cream garnished with berries that melted in the mouth. Top marks... we'll definitely be back to try other dishes.

08/06/2026: I'm in Celano for health reasons. Before being hospitalized, I was curious to try some typical local products, so I searched online for a restaurant. The Locanda della Madonna delle Vigne immediately appeared. Looking at some photos, I was intrigued by the place, so I decided to book. Access to the inn is via a staircase in an alley with a breathtaking view. We were greeted by Mr. Sandro, a very helpful, empathetic, and welcoming person. Sitting at the table, we looked at the à la carte menu, choosing for one an appetizer of mutton skewers with white onion and chickpeas, to say the least 😋 delicious. Then we ordered cured meats and cheeses. I was amazed. 🤩 2 first courses: gnocchi with venison ragù, which were good, but the pappardelle with sausage, saffron, and truffle were a delight for the palate. 😍 Excellent service Beautiful serving dishes, the cheeses served with fantastic fruit pairings. He delighted us with two cheeses that unfortunately I don't remember the name of, but I will always remember the taste 😍🤩😋😋😋. All this including coffee and water, €65. Blessed are you for all the delights we received... Thank you, thank you, I will definitely be back.

15/07/2026: If you're passing through Sulmona, you absolutely must visit the museum. It feels like stepping into a 19th-century shop and retracing the history of Italian jam. The staff is extremely friendly, and you can even see the jam-packers at work. The museum is free.

The property is strategically located for many excursions; we came here on a motorbike, but if we could visit those areas again (which I was pleasantly surprised by their beauty), I would return. An experience worth repeating. The cuisine is very good and generous, and they also cater to those with food intolerances. Thank you!

The dishes were generous, served with extreme kindness by Ms. Giovanna, who expertly recommended a wide selection of dishes from the menu, which turned out to be excellent. We enjoyed a peaceful meal to remember. As was our case, we will be sure to recommend it to friends who are passing along the A25 (AIELLI-CELANO exit) just 5 or 6 km away, who will also have an experience they will never forget. A variety of dishes are available, all of which we found to be flavorful and tasty. The price is fair. A solid experience, one we'll repeat.

30/04/2026: We went to Giocondo and had a fantastic experience! The place is intimate, very quaint, and well-organized. There's a small price to pay: you have to park a bit outside and walk through the alleys to get there, but it's absolutely worth it. The staff is very friendly, and the welcome gift (excellent bread and pecorino cheese) is a lovely touch. We had a platter and a grilled meat: everything was super fresh, local, and had that old-fashioned flavor. If you're looking for substance and courtesy, you're in the right place. Highly recommended!
