10/05/2026: Overrated. As a frequent visitor to Campo Imperatore, having read both the positive, starred reviews of this trattoria and the menu featuring some local dishes, I decided to go there for lunch. A small, somewhat neglected, family-run trattoria. Basically, there's a menu, but it's not respected. The owner verbally lists the dishes and always tries to get you to choose what he wants, without listing the price. The appetizer, which they "prepare in series," almost forces you to order, was "nothing special." I had an appetizer, first course, and second course. The first course was very good, but the appetizer and second course were disappointing. The second course was a nice steak, but very tough and poorly cooked. Strangely, the receipt isn't itemized, but only lists the total. Leaving a trattoria dissatisfied in Abruzzo is rare.

07/04/2026: We came here on Easter Monday and were really satisfied. Everything was delicious, from the starters to the main courses, with quality ingredients and well-prepared dishes. The portions are generous and the value is excellent. The service is friendly and the atmosphere is welcoming.

01/05/2026: This place should NOT be missed. Rockin couple that serve are so congenial and friendly. I had the meatball sandwich that almost made me cry because I last tasted meatballs like that as a child while mom was still alive. My partner had the mortadella that she just loved. I’d return to sulmona just for another sandwich at this place!!!! Fantastic to say the least!

06/04/2026: A small, rustic mountain restaurant with outdoor seating. Excellent value for money, this cozy, family-friendly restaurant has a welcoming atmosphere. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful, and the service is fairly quick. Generous portions, especially for the starters, and the menu offers a good selection of desserts, especially the fig tart.

06/04/2026: On vacation with our three children (small, it may seem like a small detail, but it's actually an important premise). We spent the Easter holidays at this hotel. The room was spacious, with a view of the snow-capped mountains—a truly stunning view. The room was always spotlessly clean every day. Breakfast isn't a buffet, but you certainly won't leave hungry. We prefer this style because there's no waste. The restaurant menu is fresh, tasty, and traditional, with a wide selection of vegetables as side dishes, not to mention the pizza, which we loved! The staff and owners are discreet yet kind and polite. They are warmhearted people. We can only thank them for their patience and hospitality. Lastly, we thank Mimma the cat, who was our mascot during our stay at the Monte Selva hotel and restaurant.

30/03/2026: Great restaurant, here you will find many local delicacies, I highly recommend trying one of the dishes which include cod. Good friendly service and excellent food, looking forward to the next visit.

09/04/2026: Chosen for Easter Sunday, one of the few offering an à la carte menu and highly rated on Google. We had a rich appetizer, recommended for two, very generous and with various tastings, all very good, especially the exceptional pecorino cheeses. Followed by two first courses, generous portions and very tasty. We would have liked to try the meat (we saw some very inviting dishes pass by) and the desserts, but we were at capacity. They then offered limoncello and meloncello, both homemade. The place is charming, with a rustic elegance, and the service was friendly and efficient despite the crowds. The bill was €57, which I'd say was more than fair for the overall quality. Definitely recommended if you're in the area.

16/04/2026: I'd like to say a very positive thing about this little restaurant: the welcome was warm, the service was fast and impeccable, the food tasted like it used to, the portions were generous, the prices were fair, and desserts like the tart were stellar. Enough, otherwise they'll think I'm related, but that's not the case. We'll be back with the whole family. Highly recommended.

The dining room staff, with their wonderful hospitality, attentive service, perfect presentation of dishes and drinks, skillful and competent, won over this humble waitress... The quality of the ingredients had already captured my attention. Then, the magic of the Chef and the kitchen team undeniably completed what was a truly culinary experience. The dishes were generous, served with extreme kindness by Ms. Giovanna, who expertly recommended a wide selection of dishes from the menu, which turned out to be excellent. We enjoyed a peaceful meal to remember. As was our case, we will be sure to recommend it to friends who are passing along the A25 (AIELLI-CELANO exit) just 5 or 6 km away, who will also have an experience they will never forget.
