Ottima qualità del cibo, menù fisso vario e bilanciato, ottimo rapporto qualità prezzo e porzioni abbondanti.
Servizio attento e curato, bellissima atmosfera.
Vista sul laghetto.

The place is small but nice and welcoming and has its own personality.
We chose takeaway and I must say that the paccheri with turnip greens and valerian were excellent.
04/03/2024: An extraordinary place to say the least
Very small room, soft environment heated by fireplace and candles. Tastefully set tables.
Excellent dinner, each dish described with poetry by Mr Andrea, always including the skill of Mrs Barbara. Excellent quality of the products and the presentation of the dishes is also worth admiring.
You cannot be in the area and not take advantage of this wonderful reality.

17/03/2024: Ieri sera al Faraone era tutto pieno. La pizza ci é arrivata subito dopo dieci minuti! Ricordo in tanti anni attese anche di una ora in altre pizzerie di sabato sera. Stavo pensando al mistero di come una pizza che cuoce in 3 minuti potesse avere tempi di attesa biblici . Nel mentre pensavo al peggio é arrivata la mia capricciosa. al Faraone é la migliore pizzeria dell'aquilano . Servizio strepitoso e c'è il mitico Salvatore da anni in sala.Nessuna pizza riesco a divorarla se non qui o a Napoli. Tornato a casa a pochi km da qui bella dormita di 10 ore. Cosa significa? Che la pizza é pure digeribile! Ma lo sapevo sono cliente da anni del posto soprattutto d'estate .Solo conferme e dopo anni gli ho voluto dedicare questa mia recensione su TripAdvisor.

27/03/2024: Show! I was alone at lunch, rainy day, tired and wet, I went in by chance. The owner was very kind, welcoming and super nice. Simple but well prepared cuisine. Fried egg with exceptional truffle! Mandatory focaccia!

24/03/2024: With family and friends we discovered the Centuria farmhouse where the food is very good, the pizza is amazing and the starters, first and second courses are equally good, all accompanied by the summer and winter truffles that characterize these places; I also recommend the excellent first courses and saffron desserts. We will definitely continue to return.
14/03/2024: We only went for lunch on Sunday, stumbled upon it by chance. We found extreme kindness and adaptability to our needs in the service, a simple menu, quality raw materials and suitable prices. We will be back

I don't know how else to describe this experience. Because yes, it is not a simple "dinner at a restaurant".
A journey, an experience that I recommend anyone to live.
We chose the tasting menu with wine pairing and we couldn't have made a better choice!
Dishes that convey emotions, contrasts, flavors never experienced.
All in a romantic, intimate atmosphere.
A service attentive to every need.
We can't wait for the menu to be renewed so we can come back and try it!

01/02/2024: I've only been once with friends, what can I say a pleasant experience. Cuisine different from the common one, with a lot of study and work behind it. Let's say here you go for a new culinary experience. Unfortunately, given the current realities of life, it is not within everyone's reach. Will come back and try the full tasting menu.

07/04/2024: A place that exudes enthusiasm and quality. I loved it and was fully satisfied with every course.
It offers a menu that is not extensive but very refined, varied and with the right balance of originality and tradition.
The staff is friendly and very conversational.
Their wine is also very good. Nice to find a place that is based on passion as well as business.
Beautiful view then. The only minus is the narrowness of the location, but obviously it's not a problem.
Note: I discovered that it was also open after several attempts to telephone contact to book with no response, to take this into account.
Cheap prices compared to the quality,
06/04/2024: When I have a business dinner at a certain level I always come to this place...eating here is not just about gorging on food but it is an experience for your taste buds...the owner is uniquely kind...the place is fine and well well looked after, you immediately feel at ease... the prices 🤣🤣 for what it offers are truly within everyone's reach......scattered grapes and then the Marsi wine, truly always the right accompaniment to its fantastic menus.. BRAVO..BRAVO ALL

17/02/2024: Delicious meat, ok for celiacs.
Let's start with the kebabs as an appetizer, excellent consistency and flavour, cooked and salted to perfection. Then we take the slices with porcini mushrooms and with vinegar, walnuts and parmesan, both delicious. As a side dish we order chicory and potatoes, crunchy and delicious. Fair prices. We will be back to try the first ones. Highly recommended

06/04/2024: Very good local cuisine, appetizers of cured meats and sausages and local cheeses, very good EVO oil of own production.
The first courses were delicious, with very good kebabs and vegetables. Final gem offered by Fabrizio, the owner, 8 homemade distillates: gentian, saffron distillate and without words the rosolio.
06/04/2024: We had the pleasure of having lunch at this restaurant after a motorbike ride. We ate very well, really good meat. Informal environment, quick service and friendly staff. Very honest prices. We will definitely be back!

11/03/2024: Let's start by saying that you will be faced with something very different from usual. I would say unique in terms of raw materials, combinations, workmanship and taste. Smoked red turnips, grapes, strawberries and rocket, and lentils with hazelnut cream are the best dishes on the tasting menu.
Let's get to the notes that are a little out of tune in my opinion. 1) Price - tasting menu at 210. I believe that in the presence of a raw material with minimal food cost (all plant-based) the research work and processing cannot justify the price (otherwise carnivorous menus or with raw materials of value would be at least double).
2) Quantity - I added 4 dishes to the menu. The quantities are really minimal and I would suggest increasing them. I would suggest increasing the quantity and variety of bread brought to the table.
3) speed of service - for the average of lunches in starred restaurants we went very quickly. I would have expected more information on the research work and preparations.
4)I took wines by the glass. Normal and local wines. 25 euros per glass. An insane price (basically if I had known beforehand I would have gotten the wine pairing for 100 euros). Nobody warned us though.
Would I go back? Yes but not at that price.

02/04/2024: Lo Scalco dell'Aquila is not only the best restaurant in that beautiful and invincible city. It's much much more. Here food becomes a work of art. But the artist did not limit himself only to the triumph of taste. He went above and beyond. The vision, the presentation, the description make it a multi-sensorial work. A poetic experience. But to "build the Future together" - to quote the visionary and wise words of the Artist Armando - art alone is not enough. And so here is the care, the professionalism, the kindness, the passion, the dedication that Armando, Massimiliana and all their wonderful young staff naturally embody. And then the Future becomes as blue as the Artist's eyes.
