05/07/2025: It's strange to find traditional Roman pizza in Tagliacozzo but that's how it is. The first time we stopped by chance just before closing and it seemed like a "normal" place. We returned a few days later and the line filled the sidewalk! I don't like queuing (under the sun) but it was worth it and that's all I have to say. Only white, red and potato pizza. Few things but done well.

02/01/2026: The place is small, but it has an outdoor garden for the summer. It's not very well-kept; the bathrooms are outside and a bit dated. The food is simple but homely, family-style. The hostess is kind and helpful.

02/11/2025: Two of us went yesterday, November 1st. It was packed, but the service was very efficient, with reasonable wait times. We had tagliolini with porcini mushrooms, guanciale, and saffron, which were truly excellent 🤤😍, and then the Angus steak served on a soapstone, so you could decide how well you want the meat done! Everything was delicious; I absolutely recommend going there!

17/05/2026: We had lunch at this Osteria/restaurant recommended by a friend... he couldn't have recommended a better place, it's been a while since we've eaten somewhere like this. The interior is immediately welcoming and already mouth-watering... from the kitchen you can even glimpse the wood-fired grill where the meat is cooked. All the staff were courteous, the appetizers were generous and high-quality... and what can we say about the first courses: handmade pasta and exquisite sauces (both the cacio e pepe and the sparerib sauce were excellent), truly generous portions!! And to finish, the strictly homemade tiramisu (like everything else) was better than mine 😆. Truly competitive prices for the quality offered! We can't recommend this place enough! The guys from Rome and Avezzano. We'll definitely be back!

07/04/2026: We stayed for Easter Monday and can't say anything other than perfect. An enchanting place overlooking a stream with quality dishes and attentive service. Despite our noise and requests, they did everything they could to accommodate us and make us feel at home.

31/05/2026: I spent a wonderful evening at LA LOCOMOTIVA pizzeria in Tagliacozzo. The pizza was truly excellent, with a light, well-cooked crust, quality ingredients, and great attention to flavor. The fried foods and wide selection of beers were also excellent. The atmosphere is welcoming and informal, perfect for an evening with friends or family. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, always polite and professional, is definitely an added bonus. Excellent value for money. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

20/05/2026: We went on a Friday evening recommended by acquaintances. We had a calzone, which was very good, and a vegetarian pizza, which unfortunately I had to send back. It was wet and had the zucchini practically cooked on top. However, I appreciated the honesty of the owner, who acknowledged his mistake, humbly apologized, and immediately offered to bring us another pizza, which isn't for everyone.

15/06/2026: We had lunch at this restaurant with a group of 61 people. The food was good, and the service was generally satisfactory. Unfortunately, there were some unclear aspects regarding the final bill. The agreed-upon price was €28 per person. When quoting, I had asked to replace the fruit with a dessert, as we were celebrating a birthday. The owner explained that if we chose a specially purchased dessert, there would be an additional €2 per person; otherwise, they would serve their own small dessert, and the birthday cake would be paid for separately. In the end, we were charged €30 per person, and a cake was also added for €30. The dessert served in place of the fruit was very small (about two teaspoons per person), and several guests commented that it wasn't even clear what it was. Another negative aspect concerns the payment: I wasn't given a receipt for the cake, and the complimentary gift of one person for every 25 participants, as had been agreed upon over the phone, was not applied.
