30/04/2026: A rustic and welcoming place, in true pub style, with outdoor seating coming soon, L'Aquila temperatures permitting.
I always recommend booking; you can do so online using the various links on their pages. Service is quite prompt, and the friendly, smiling staff are always a plus. Prices are fair for the quality they offer; they're certainly not cheap, but not as high as other reviews have indicated.
Don't miss Villa Celiera's handmade skewers of meat or liver, accompanied by a delicious crispy focaccia (they don't have bread), which you can request.
I've tried a couple of beers from their brewery and will definitely try the others.

09/05/2026: We were passing through, we found this restaurant by chance, we entered around 2 pm. Place for 2, we were seated in less than 5 minutes, we had 2 appetizers, 2 main courses and 2 side dishes, I have to say EVERYTHING REALLY DELICIOUS!!! Very fast service, non-existent waiting times (even though we sat down at 2 pm and the restaurant was full, what we ate on the bill was EXCELLENT! Just a tip hoping that no one will be disappointed, wide choice of main courses. BUT ADD THE ARROSTICINI TO THE MENU.

The food is excellent: the "old post" appetizer, delicious asparagus gnocchi, and perfectly cooked grilled lamb.

09/04/2026: A beautiful farmhouse, surrounded by greenery and with a splendid view of the plateau. We participated in a saffron harvesting and processing experience, including lunch. Alessandro, the owner, accompanied us throughout the morning, passionately sharing the history and production of this extraordinary product.
At lunch, we enjoyed delicious dishes, all saffron-based, accompanied by attentive and friendly service.
A heartfelt thank you to Alessandro, his wife, and the entire family for the wonderful day we spent together!

26/01/2026: I'd give the pizza five stars, but the restaurant is, in my opinion, not up to par, and the price is disproportionate to the type of cuisine offered. The desserts are very good. The service on busy days needs to be reconsidered.

01/03/2026: It's been a long time since I've been to a restaurant like this. The atmosphere is very pleasant and clean. The food is truly excellent, but what really stands out is the owner's passion for what he does. Last (but not least!) note: during the evening, the owner's father started playing the piano. It was all truly perfect. Unfortunately, I don't live very close, but I'll definitely make sure to visit again. THANK YOU!

18/01/2026: Intimate, minimalist, and elegant design. The maitre d' and the dining room staff create a simple yet warm atmosphere. Refined and original dishes, with Abruzzo roots clearly evident. Special mention goes to the tortello alla ventricina and the lamb, both of which are unbelievably tender.
03/01/2026: Terrible restaurant, reservation made two weeks ago, they called us an hour before dinner to cancel. Unprofessional, arrogant, and rude.

14/05/2026: Absolutely one of the best restaurants we tried during our stay in L'Aquila.
Starting with the restaurant itself, it goes without saying that it's exquisite and carefully decorated.
The owner is fantastic: knowledgeable, kind, and you can tell he loves his job.
He puts so much passion into serving you.
The dishes: each one better than the last, because in addition to being traditional, they feature top-quality, local ingredients, something you don't always find in small, village restaurants.
Another positive note: the owner explains the origins of the products used in the kitchen and takes you on a culinary tour of the Abruzzo mountains.
We recommend it to anyone who wants a real experience, beyond just a meal.
WE WILL RETURN!!!

26/04/2026: Hands down one of the best dinners I’ve ever had in Italy. You can have 6 courses of your own choice for 60 euros (mind you: not a fixed menu, and you get to choose whatever from the menu you’d like - that’s great service).
We had a lovely tartare and asparagus as antipasti, duck ravioli as primo and two secondi: Lamb and cow. All of it was beautifully served, and all of the dishes were wonderfully balanced.
The owner has worked in some of Copenhagen’s top restaurants - and it shows - while all of the dishes still manage to feel both local and authentically Italian.
Thank you for this great experience. We will definitely be back if we ever find ourselves in Abruzzo again.

The vegetarian menu was incredibly good, and what about the kombucha? I think it was one of the best I've tried so far. We'll be back to try other good things.

27/03/2026: What a wonderful discovery! During a heavy snowfall, we decided to drive a few kilometers further to check out all the positive reviews we'd read. Nestled in a small village alley, we finally found authentic cuisine in a notoriously touristy area where this is rare.
The warm and friendly atmosphere, combined with simple yet exquisitely prepared dishes, careful selection of ingredients, and a warm welcome make this a must-visit for travelers interested in discovering the traditions of Abruzzo.
We'll definitely be back.

01/05/2026: This is my first time here. The food is good, but the service is slow. They leave you stranded with dirty plates, no water, and no bread. The staff is fine. The location is difficult to find due to narrow streets and sharp turns.
18/04/2026: A true spectacle, thanks to the meticulous attention to detail in the presentation of traditional dishes, which still retain the flavour of the cuisine of yesteryear. Each dish is carefully narrated and described. Prices are more than fair. The restaurant is nestled in a small square with a wonderful view. Reservations are recommended.

14/04/2026: A charming, typical Italian inn. The atmosphere is old-fashioned, from the furniture to the tableware, and perhaps even the picture frames. It's very vintage and very welcoming. Simple but delicious food at a reasonable price.
A lovely experience on the roadside in Avezzano.
10/04/2026: An unexpected surprise: excellent, high-quality food made with top-quality ingredients, a spotlessly clean restaurant. We were looking for a place close to the highway exit. Highly recommended for anyone on the Abruzzo/Rome highway.
