21/03/2026: For a round of the Italian Enduro Championship, I stopped at this hotel for both the night and dinner. I have to say that looking at it from the outside, both because of its location and the surrounding buildings, I wasn't thrilled, but I hadn't booked it. So I walked in, and I have to say, right from the reception, I began to change my mind. The staff were friendly, welcoming, the furnishings simple but well-appointed, and the cleanliness was evident. The room was beautiful and very spacious, with fresh, timeless furnishings, and it was immediately apparent that it was immaculately clean. I went down to the restaurant, and here I said to myself, "Never let appearances fool you." It's truly beautiful, with beautiful, high wooden ceilings, well-set tables, and above all, kind, smiling, and competent service. I'll save dinner for last, which I have to say was the icing on the cake. Everything was well-made and of excellent quality. What can I say? I recommend it, and if I'm in the area again, I'll be back.

18/03/2026: Dad Claudio (known as Lallo) is an extremely kind and friendly person. He engages in a courteous and discreet conversation with his guests. From our point of view, it's not just formality or work-related reasons, but rather a genuinely cordial attitude. He doesn't treat you just as a "customer," but as someone to be put at ease. He makes you feel like part of the family. And I'd say that given our hectic lifestyle, with human relationships reduced to a minimum, this kind of behavior is good for both the individual and the heart, especially when, even on a pleasure trip, you're far from home and your loved ones. That said, after our first stay at the Hotel Le Sequoie, we had an excellent time and, as a logical consequence, we've stayed at least five more times... and they won't be the last, at least in the winter. Although, to be honest, the two pools are tempting us for when the warmer weather arrives. A truly unique experience, having stayed at many hotels in Italy (sometimes very renowned), thus having a very valid and reliable basis for comparison. We once again extend our heartfelt thanks to Emiliano, Silvia, and their father Claudio (known as Lallo) for all they do with professionalism and love. Nunzia and Massimo.

18/01/2026: Intimate, minimalist, and elegant design. The maitre d' and the dining room staff create a simple yet warm atmosphere. Refined and original dishes, with Abruzzo roots clearly evident. Special mention goes to the tortello alla ventricina and the lamb, both of which are unbelievably tender.

26/04/2026: Hands down one of the best dinners I’ve ever had in Italy. You can have 6 courses of your own choice for 60 euros (mind you: not a fixed menu, and you get to choose whatever from the menu you’d like - that’s great service). We had a lovely tartare and asparagus as antipasti, duck ravioli as primo and two secondi: Lamb and cow. All of it was beautifully served, and all of the dishes were wonderfully balanced. The owner has worked in some of Copenhagen’s top restaurants - and it shows - while all of the dishes still manage to feel both local and authentically Italian. Thank you for this great experience. We will definitely be back if we ever find ourselves in Abruzzo again.

23/05/2026: Arriving in Fontecchio on our Celestine journey, we ate at this restaurant. The staff was very friendly; they were closing and gave us a chance to eat. Authentic dishes, from the first to the second course, generous portions and well-cooked. Excellent value. There were three of us: A plate of pecorino cheese, A portion of gnocchi with meat sauce, Two grilled chicken breasts, A plate of grilled vegetables and a plate of fries, and finally two amari. Water and house wine. Total bill €40. Highly recommended!

14/05/2026: Absolutely one of the best restaurants we tried during our stay in L'Aquila. Starting with the restaurant itself, it goes without saying that it's exquisite and carefully decorated. The owner is fantastic: knowledgeable, kind, and you can tell he loves his job. He puts so much passion into serving you. The dishes: each one better than the last, because in addition to being traditional, they feature top-quality, local ingredients, something you don't always find in small, village restaurants. Another positive note: the owner explains the origins of the products used in the kitchen and takes you on a culinary tour of the Abruzzo mountains. We recommend it to anyone who wants a real experience, beyond just a meal. WE WILL RETURN!!!

02/06/2026: We decided to try this family-run restaurant and were truly thrilled. The place is charming, simple, and welcoming, with a genuine atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. We ate wonderfully, using high-quality local products showcased in the best possible way. A special mention goes to the ravioli with sweet ricotta and sauce: they took me back in time, reminding me of the ones my grandmother used to make. They're also a typical dish in some towns in Basilicata, and finding the same authentic flavors was a wonderful surprise. The meat was also excellent, especially the local grilled lamb, truly tasty and cooked to perfection. And then the baked potatoes: it's reductive to call them just a side dish; they were something unique. The waiter explained that they are "di Secca" potatoes, grown on the Cinque Miglia plateau, and you could taste the quality of the ingredients. To conclude, we sampled the desserts, including an extraordinary farrozzo, a very interesting reinterpretation of the more famous parrozzo, which is absolutely worth a try. The staff was impeccable: friendly, sociable, and always available to share their passion for the region and its products. A place where you eat well, feel good, and leave wanting more. I highly recommend it! Kudos to the entire staff.

27/03/2026: What a wonderful discovery! During a heavy snowfall, we decided to drive a few kilometers further to check out all the positive reviews we'd read. Nestled in a small village alley, we finally found authentic cuisine in a notoriously touristy area where this is rare. The warm and friendly atmosphere, combined with simple yet exquisitely prepared dishes, careful selection of ingredients, and a warm welcome make this a must-visit for travelers interested in discovering the traditions of Abruzzo. We'll definitely be back.

17/05/2026: Found it by chance...can't wait to go back. The house antipasto was really good, made with quality ingredients. The mushroom and truffle chitarrina was perfect. The wild boar stew was tender and tasty. It was like eating at grandma's! Beautiful place and super friendly staff.

16/05/2026: We went there during a visit to the Stiffe Caves. Very good, fast and attentive service. Worth a try. Fair prices for the quality you get. The veal steak is delicious.

02/06/2026: Very simple: 4 days mountain biking around Abruzzo, always eating well, but this was definitely the place where we ate the best! The paccheri with basil, ricotta, and confit tomatoes and the pappardelle with lamb ragù were excellent. The owners and staff were very friendly.
