Sunday lunch. The place is packed, but they suggest we eat in an alley next to the restaurant, well-sheltered from the sun and city traffic (which is still limited in the historic center). The menu offers local dishes (and plenty of pizzas and pinsas in the evening). The appetizers are excellent and plentiful, even for four people. The first courses are tasty (I was expecting a wild boar ragù in white sauce, but it's still good). The arrosticini are excellent (including the liver ones). Prices are fair. Service is perhaps a little slow (due to the large number of tables), but it's absolutely friendly and attentive. We'll definitely return, especially for its location, just steps from the city's main square.

I came here a few months ago while I was touring L'Aquila. Excellent food, carefully prepared and truly tasty. Fast, accurate, and very friendly service. A very positive experience!

Delicious food, generous portions, excellent quality, and above all, the owners and staff were incredibly helpful.
When a friend of ours had an unexpected health issue, they were incredibly supportive, even deducting from our bill some of the dishes they'd prepared but weren't able to eat.
This will be our culinary destination upon our return to L'Aquila.

Pity we only discovered this restaurant on our last night at l'Aquila. We shared a lovely starter, then had the most exquisite pizza and pinsa ever! A gem of a restaurant offering an extensive menu, not just pizza. Other dishes seemed delicious too! And all at very affordable prices. Very friendly staff and efficient service. Complimenti Nonna Cristina!!
