02/04/2024: After a long period of waiting, it's finally back! The Caccia brigade in full force, in splendid form, full of enthusiasm and desire to welcome and delight us, has recently reopened the doors of the 'La Montanara' restaurant to us, with the firm intention of making us forget the absence caused by the complex renovation . But the wait was definitely worth it! Those who choose refreshment, before or after visiting the splendid Rocca di Calascio, will be lucky enough to be able to continue to admire the medieval village nestled in the barren and proud nature, through its immense windows which fully convey the hypnotic beauty of the landscape. The exquisite welcome of the owners, the relaxed and jovial atmosphere, thanks also to the legendary Mr Filippo who knows how to entertain with the affability and kindness of times gone by, the genuine and tasty food, respecting the cyclical nature of the seasons, make the stop an absolutely satisfying experience. Highly recommended is the cold cuts and cheese platter, carefully selected from the regional delicacies, the saffron ravioli, the kebabs, the tarts and Mrs. Clotilde's amazing lemon cream. Note of merit for the reception, not to be taken for granted, that Daniela and Luigi also know how to reserve for their four-legged friends. N.b. Reservation is necessary.

30/03/2024: I discovered this restaurant by pure chance, before going to visit Rocca Calascio. It was a very pleasant surprise. The dishes of the day are offered, all prepared with the freshest and above all high quality products. I can say I enjoyed some genuine food. From bread, to cured meats, to cheeses, from wine to vegetables etc.... nothing is industrial. Flavors of the past. Low prices. The welcome from the family who runs this place was really warm. Special thanks to Mr. Filippo for the very pleasant chat. It felt like talking to a family member. I absolutely recommend La Montanara to those who want to eat well, especially in a healthy way and to those who want to spend a pleasant moment before or after visiting this beautiful site.

07/01/2024: Tutto perfetto, pochi posti x ciò si gusta e si parla come una volta in modo armonioso è consigliabile la prenotazione in una giornata uggioso come oggi regna la pace dei sensi e il sapore delle pietanze è superiore

13/09/2023: In breve gita fra i borghi abruzzesi, abbiamo pranzato in questo ristorante attratti dalle buone recensioni. Il locale è molto piccolo (max 15-20 coperti) e spoglio e non è dotato di parcheggio. Ci si arriva percorrendo alcune rampe di scale dalla strada principale o dall'interno del Borgo di Calascio (ma sempre a piedi). La cucina è veramente casareccia con piatti tipici dai sapori autentici. Il servizio è stato veloce, gentile e accurato. Buono anche il vino della casa. I prezzi praticati sono in linea con quelli di altri ristoranti della zona, anche se forse sono stati ritoccati un po' troppo all'insù per la location. Comunque se volete mangiare bene è certamente un posto da consigliare.

28/01/2024: Lo devi scovare, tra le stradine del borgo, questa caratteristica casa adibita a paninoteca, dove si possono trovare eccellente qualità dei prodotti, una simpatica accoglienza e una sala in stile antico con ancora molti attrezzi antichi da ammirare. Una visita in questi posti super caratteristici merita sempre!
